  1. No, I actually have no respect for your program..you have athletes but when tested you fall short against solid programs. as for free agent...I will always cheer for the program that best represents my values and beliefs...I believe Gallatin does that...Now back to the boy..If they (gallatin) will realize they have played the harder schedule ( the rudy heart) and play beyond their past record this season then I believe they will win the game...Honestly, its up to your eagles, if they play hard and can overcome adversity or setbacks..then they can win..truthfully, I have seen 3 of their games and they never struggled..if they do, can they dig deep and find a win...While the wave has a terrible record on the road..shelbyville has a terrible record of winning in the 2nd and 3rd rounds...what players or coaches or evidence do you have that things have changed? In short you have the players and advantage..I just don't think your guys are ready for that step...
  2. Well I know green wave is a fan of his program and certainly my falcons lost to the Eagles and I am bitter. So I am a fan of the green wave....Will say this, the wave's head coach will coach his 1st game in his "home" stadium and his team is 1-4 on the road....Anyone that thinks a coach wins that 1st game back to their home needs a history lesson. If you look at their schedule they are very predictable..a win then a loss then 2 wins then a loss then a win then a loss then 2 wins then a loss then a win....well you get it.." a loss". every 5 games their fate is renewed. A team that is bad on the road and has a pattern of winning and losing up against a team who is hot and has so many weapons makes many weak...for me...I think the wave can win and win big!!! I am also a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan!!!! Every year I think the cubbies will win the world series. The info on unapproved website and on SCHS's RB's is wrong...#3 is over 1000 yds rushing and #24 is @ 920.. That comes from ours and Tullahoma's coaches. I sure am excited for the game..like I said, if SCHS wants a 3rd playoff game..could be tough for the wave...if not...the wave's "rudy" heart and effort may beat out a more talented and extremely talented coached team..still, I think the wave pulls off the win...sometimes, patterns and abilities take a back seat to desire. My wife bought us some green shirts for the game..green wave, hope it helps!
  3. Could be a good sign for the wave as the eagles are 1-1 with the duck calling their games this season..first was Tullahoma and then my boys at Lincoln...Well maybe you will fare better than we did....None of us listened...maybe that will help..lol best of luck..(amazing what you can learn through a search on this website...haha)
  4. hey green wave, sorry for the delay in reply..was out dealing with a family issue..have a mom who is worried about the incoming cold front so had to cut wood..lol #6 did play for 2 series BUT his brother #3 and #24 as well as #7 (the QB) and most of the D-line were held out in the scrimmage. I agree that you both are so much different now. My friend from stations camp says your QB can finally throw and does great on a run as well. compares to Tebow...Shelbyville's biggest strength is their ability for a play maker to step up...If 6 is not hot, then 10, 4,5, 17, 25, or 9 steps up...for the run..if 24 can't break you, then 3, 13, 25 or 7 will...Their coaches are much better than realized...so the play calling is really good. I think that is what shocked us when we played them..Their weakness is the line..however, they have played well for a while and obviously it shows...Their D-line and LB play was good and they seemed very inspired. Their O-line always seems to be adequate, which is frustrating to teams. I think your kids heart vs their's is the difference..if your boys play hard..maybe the eagles will grow tired of an unexpectedly long season and lay an egg...If SCHS wants to go another week...then it could be a tough night..I look forward to the game and will sit on your side...still...being 1-4 on the road and that lone win being against a glorified 9th grade team (new school). Either way from all I've talked to, you boys have the heart that makes anything possible...Best of luck to you...
  5. I have done some investigating... Shelbyville did whoop the green wave with only their back up qb and o line as well as their skill players...sorry but saw the film on hudl...still the green wave QB is sooooo much better than he was in that game and their strength is the eagles weakness...so get ready for the game of the playoffs....so excited...I hope out of spite that the wave wins by 7...reality...they lose by at least 21...The game against Lebanon hurts yall as well as the 1-4 record on the road...still, hope is with you...
  6. Sounds good, well his nephew plays there and told us when he called him..still I will be there and am expecting a great game from your wave! Congrats again on your win and maybe someday we will get that home and home exchange for us fans!
  7. Well said, congrats to the Falcons on the season and hopefully we can continue to build for next year.
  8. Congrats to the green wave. While my falcons lost as did the bucs, the quad lived up to the hype many of you predicted. I agree with the one post..If Shelbyville can hang 44 on their worst nightmare for the past several years, that may unleash the dogs and who knows what they will do. Of course..maybe for ya'll they will come out flat! Best of luck this coming week. Someone here said when you guys scrimmaged them, they didn't have their QB and held out their key players after the 2nd series? Is that true? Just hoping you guys did as well...could be tough if you lost to their jv while playing your varsity...
  9. I am hopeful that Lincoln wins this big at home...Either way, Northeast has not played well of late. As for the quad...should disaster strike my falcons and Northeast moves on, then I think they may beat hillsboro but not beech should the bucs win. If Shelbyville gets by this first round and looks as hot as they have, They will run the tables in the quad...I do not think the wave can match up any better than they did in their scrimmage. So My hopes are still for a Lincoln County-Shelbyville rematch.
  10. I think Northeast can be scary and my falcons will have to be ready. Hopefully the pit and our fans can bring back some of that old magic and get them past the most dangerous team in the Quad. Anyone from around here knows that Tullahoma has owned the Eagles for some time. I do not think you can have that kind of dominance and NOT be in the head of the coaches, fans and especially the players. As hot as they have been, I think they may be burnt out and satisfied with a district title. We all have seen this plenty in high school sports. Traditional success wins out. Wildcats, wave, falcons and bucs move on. Games should be great!
  11. Didn't your former head coach work on staff with championship teams in Riverdale? Your problem is not coaching it is typical small town politics that comes when you have bad season after bad season and there is no commitment to change the character of the people surrounding the program. It is never fair to the kids but until a group comes along with strong commitment and strong parents and admin in education and the local government, things do not change. Obviously this does not exist only in Manchester..Obviously any coach with his salt knows this and will stay far away from this job..You will need an idealist who everyone buys into because they realize they have no other choice...
  12. From what I saw last Friday of the game they played vs shelbyville, this may not be close. It was hard to tell if the eagles were just that good or Lawrence is just that bad. either way best of luck.
  13. Should be a great game..Northeast should be fired up having lost some games late in the season but a team like theirs can turn it on any Friday night and play hard..I still think our power and clock control will get us through to the second round.
  14. What I saw tonight, it won't matter where Lawrence County goes. They didn't have 50 yds of offense against Shelbyville until the eagles put their 3rd string in. I saw on an earlier post where Shelbyville and the green wave scrimmaged earlier in the year..All things considered, I think the seeds are the favorites in this quad. Probably not the case in other quads. GO Falcons! get us that rematch!
  15. I went to watch the game hoping they may lose and my falcons would be district champs...I have to say that they over came some dirty play and what has to be the worst officiating ever! I never saw that kind of treatment from Lawrence Co. when they play in the pit or against us...The eagles really could be a serious contender for the state championship. I hope we get a rematch.
  16. Lawrence County can help itself by winning Friday night. They had success against Shelbyville last year but nothing about this years Shelbyville team compares to what we saw early in the year to what they are doing now. I am hoping they get back to their old ways of undisciplined football and get my Falcons a title.
  17. I am not sure how Lawrence county can make the playoffs. They will be 2-4 in district if they lose to Shelbyville. They will have to win to get in I would think. If Columbia wins you will have 3 teams (Columbia, Franklin Co. and Tullahoma) that will be 3-3 in district and 5-5...Wouldn't another team like Clarksville if they beat Springfield make the playoffs with a 4-3 district record?
  18. In the past, the quad 4 1 seed has sometimes been tripped up by a Memphis team allowing the quad 3 winner (usually Columbia but others have from there have too) advance to the title game...I'm hopeful my falcons can do it, but Shelbyville is playing like the team for us to beat...any thoughts?
  19. What criteria puts Beech as the 1 seed and Shelbyville 2 and us (lincoln co) a 3?
  20. It is always hard to get a win in Tullahoma..However, after seeing our game with Shelbyville and the way the eagles have dismantled Franklin County, us and Columbia, (127 pts scored vs allowing 14) The chances of them slipping up against Coffee County or Lawrence County are slim.. (LC is a run team and as we know, Shelbyville kills the run). 2nd place is where we are at and that is a HUGE improvement from last year!
