GOVERNORS91, have you looked at the scores it took Maryville to get through district. look at Siegel game last year and Blackman this year, then add Riverdale, Oakland and Smyrna and go through district twice to get to semis. just saying pretty hard district. Maryville would probably win 7aaa most years, but the rest of your district would be average.

Agreed, this a championship game that should be in Cookeville. A physical game going to be won at the line of scrimmage. A lot different than last years Siegel game. A lot more of a run game here, played between the tackles. I do give Maryville the edge because of home field and they probably have a better passing game. Coaching edge will go to Maryville and also player experience in playoff games.

Swami, what kind of connection do you have with Riverdale? Just wandering, since you know so much about coach A and the job he is doing with the program.

That's the problem, the grownups have been hearing the complaints for eight years now and nothing will be done until some new grownups take over.

I'm not so sure that Blackman's offense is on same level. The only reason the QB's would be the same is because Stocks knee was torn, but not at all on same level healthy. And Blackman doesn't have the receivers Siegel had last year. As far as Defense, Blackman is a lot better than Siegel's D last year. Two different teams totally. It's like comparing Oregon and Bama.

I'm not worried about the winning or losing. I think Aydelott has a good winning percentage. But, I just don't like how they treat the kids. I promise you if Shadowens or Wyant or Little Man was at Riverdale there would be 100 kids on the team. They might not be as talented as the 93-04 classes, but there is a lot of great talent at Riverdale that can compete with anybody in state. Heck, I could argue that they may have had their best QB ever the last three years, But wasn't used enough last year to have Stats.

He has already graduated. He played and played very well. Hardly ever come off the field. No axe to grind for me on his part. Just giving my opinion on what I have seen for the last eight years and where the program is now.

I'm just an ex players Dad with concern for where the program is headed.

You still don't get it and really never will until you are there to witness what's going on, instead of going on someone else's opinion. How would your marriage go if you were always telling your wife how stupid she was and she can't do anything right that she is a waste of time. she would either start accepting it and not improve or realize how stupid you are and get the heck out.

LOD is talking a different kind of hard. LOD is talking about tuff love, discipline and hard work. If you knew anything about coaching you would understand where we are coming from. Swimi, you would have to be around the program to understand. David is behind the scene, he is not at practice hearing what's going on. Of coarse he likes the coaches, all he hears is praises and thank you for helping out with all the behind the scene stuff. Before you make any more comments come hang out at practice and games for a season. Besides, that is pansy of you calling kids pansy's.

Heart and talent is not the problem. When a 14 to 18 year old gets beat down constantly and never built back up by the coaching staff is a problem.

Governors91, how can you make a comment like that when you haven't seen either team play. Blackman is the better team than Oakland. They would have beat Oakland in regular season if not for preventable turnovers. And also won in Kentucky if not for officiating. I do feel like it will be hard to beat the Beast from the East, but Blackman has a better chance than Oakland. They are more rounded and better coached than Oakland. Blackman offense is nowhere near the Siegel team you played last year, but the defense is lights out better than Siegel last year. That being said, if 7aaa is the SEC, Maryville would be Alabama, and Blackman would be Auburn.

Great game if you were a Blackman Blaze. Once again, little man syndrome got out coached. Honestly, Blackman is probably the better rounded team. I feel like Oakland could have done better running the wild cat or read option with Emmanual last night, because of the field conditions. Blackman will probably fair better against the beast in the east, but have their work cut out for them. They will have to play a perfect game to win.no turnovers and no stupid penalties. You will be playing in their house, so the taunting will go against you. I saw to much of that last night. Remember what happened in bowling green.

Swami, that is easy to say looking from the outside, but until your around the program you really have no voice in the matter. I don't always agree with LOD, but he is closer to the truth than David. I guess David is looking thru rose colored glasses. It is time for a change.

David, there are kids that started on the team this year that quit that are roaming the halls. they do not want to play for this staff. true, zoning has a part in the whole situation, but most of it is the coaches. we have D1 kids starting for Oakland,that drive past Riverdale every day because they didn't want to play in this scheme. that being said, we still have had enough talent the last eight years to win a couple of gold balls.

Several reasons. They will still be very young. Losing some key lineman. Depth is a very big deal, they have none. They still haven't proved they can have a passing game. And coaching.

I think Blackman and Oakland will be battling for the top spot again, but have to give the edge to Blackman because of coaching. Riverdale should be better, but still a year away from competing for district. Siegel might be on the decline, just don't have the talent coming up, could be wrong but didn't see much out of the JV, Freshman or Middle school this year. I hear Smyrna will lose a lot of their line on both sides, so they will battle Lavergne and Stewarts Creek for 5th place.

LOD, if your going to make statements, please make sure you are up to date. For one thing, you didn't even know coach A has been living in Murfreesboro for a couple years now. Another is he has been coaching the freshman during practice for the last four years. He was also at all the games, even the Lions Bowl. Even though I don't agree with everything he does, I believe he does care about the kids.

LOD, do you think coach A is really gone or is it just wishful thinking on your part. He did buy a house in Christiana/Barfield area and has been living in Rutherford county for 2 years now.
