  1. LOL....at least it would be enough for a meal. You would have to eat half a dozen little red birds to do anything. I personally am somewhat bummed now as my son came home from practice with ice on his knee yesterday and his season is over. Looks like a MCL sprain and will be re evaluated in a week possibly for a meniscal tear. Luckily it doesn't look to bad and doesn't really hurt his team as he is only a freshman. Although he was only one of two freshman that did get to play on some special teams. He is discouraged but understands. Go Eagles!
  2. I have seen every game this year for the Eagles and couldn't tell you what their sizes are. Suffice it to say they aren't small and they are very athletic. I think they are mostly seniors but I wouldn't quote me on that. In the pre season, I thought the line was going to be the achilles heel of this team and it turned out to be the exact opposite. They have won the battle upfront on both sides of the ball every game this year. The team has faced a few decent backs but none near as good as our own Chris Hale or the Adamsville kid.
  3. Agreed. Come to town and enjoy your stay.It should be a great atmosphere. Go Eagles!
  4. I was responding to the fact that you said Eagles would be in for a "rude awakening". No they will not be surprised by the talent or depth of Adamsville. Coach Carson and his staff will have them prepared for what they will see. It doesn't mean the Eagles will win but they certainly won't be surprised.
  5. Everything that I have read about Adamsville and know about Eagleville seems to have a few things in common. Primarily that both teams are very well coached. I don't think there will be a rude awakening for either team. I talk to my son everday when he comes home from practice and ask him who the strong players are for their various opponents. He is only a freshman but he always knows. Our coaches (Eagleville) do a great job of working with these kids and coaching them up. They will be ready. Execution will be key.
  6. Eagleville played from behind 8 weeks ago and lost that game by 3 pts. to a team with one of the better passing qb's in the state. Most of their other games they never were behind so you really can't say if they are good or bad when trailing. As good as Hale is (2,000 yds rushing) and Ryan Jordan's arms is, the real strength of this team lies with the offensive and defensive lines. The O line has given Hale the openings to get into open field where he is incredibly hard to tackle and the protection for Jordan to get the ball to his recievers. Jordan's fastball is very good. The D line has consistently won battles upfront and has made it hard to run or for qb's to have the time to get the ball downfield to recievers. I look for it to be a close game with Eagleville winning.
  7. I wasn't sure if he had passed it Friday night but figured it had to be close. Love the Cards fans confidence. Hope their players are just like em.
  8. Eagles defense only gives up 9pts a game and has a Mr Football finalist running back (Chris Hale) with over 1900 rushing yards. They will not lay down and give up for the cards. I see a good competitive game. Go Eagles! PS Try the barbeque nachos at the concession stand. They arepretty awesome.
  9. Yes the fog was crazy. I saw one punt go up but never come down. Really looking forward to the matchup with adamsville. I have seen every eagleville game this year and have read about adamsville. Sounds like similar teams. Glad I don't have to make that drive
  10. Pretty sure Hale had 250 or so yards rushing in that game and was pulled late in the game due to score. I imagine the Lankford kid will have just as good of a night. Moore county will be no match for SP
  11. I will be at the Eagleville game tomorrow night (my son is a freshman on the team) so I'm afraid I wont have the chance to see the Lankford kid. What I know about Hale for Eagleville is that he has very good speed, quick feet and instincts but by far his best quality is his balance. He is incredibly hard to tackle.
  12. Eagleville's back (Chris Hale) with 1800 plus yards rushing is a step down from SP's back?? I don't think so. I have been a Moore County follower for years. I have had nephews that played there up through last year and have seen them twice this year. Once against Eagleville and last week in their playoff game. Moore county is weak and doesn't really have a legitimate chance in this game.
