  1. There is no doubt about your statement. Lewis County was very well coached. They were disciplined. They were classy. This discipline and class is what lead them to a 13-1 record. Make no mistake, for LC players give their all to each other and to their community.
  2. The mark of a truly great coach has nothing to do with the wins that were accounted for, nor the championships achieved, but, rather, for the husbands, fathers, and citizens those player become to be. That is the only scoreboard that really matters. Did football help you develop those qualities to be a better man far away from the football field? If yes, you had a good coach. No coach will ever know if he was truly successful for several years . . . until his boys have moved on and become productive members of society, faithful husbands, and viable and LOVING providers for their families.
  3. Yeah CPA just told me they run all their 40s in cleats as well. Dang, it should be a close game!
  4. That's the funniest response I've read on this thread.
  5. How do you dry clean a shirt . . . really, always wondered that?
  6. Never heard of pack rats. . . Where's that at? I like deals!
  7. Come'on, you don't know Fred's Pharmacy? We got a great one in Fairview, and I know there's one in White Bluff, but I'm scared it'll suffer mightily when our big Wally Mart opens. But that's okay, cause Wally Mart sells ammo, and Fred's doesn't. I've only been to Billy Bob's in TX, but that's a bar/mechanical bull riding/country dance club.
  8. I bet if you give CPA some money they'll move it. Just get your booster club to pitch in. Obviously, you understand that the TSSAA gets 50% of the gate regardless of where the game is played. The two teams split the remaining 50%. Believe it or not, MBA, BA, FR, etc., would actually charge CPA to use their field. So, if CPA and LC are both getting 50% of the gate, they should pay 50% of the rental fee to get another field.
  9. Reminds me of an ol' timer tellin' me, "Sonny, you're poor if you're havin' to sell your horse to get the saddle." I just said, "Yes sir, I am poor, but my grandaddy's got a horse for me."
  10. I like going to Fred's for detergent. What great deals they always have!
  11. And you also might be surprised that CPA actually has some really back woods coaches of their own.
  12. I predict the most physical team will win Friday night. That's my prediction that cannot lose.
  13. That same ol' gentleman also told me, "It's better to have a good enemy than a bad friend." Well said old-timer. Well said.
  14. Dear "Like a Rock", First, great picture of the dog upside down to prove the dog was not in pushup position. Secondly, have you gone back and looked at the definition of race vs. socioeconomics. I never heard back from you on that one. Lastly, as an ol' man at the general store told me, "Don't ever feed nuts to a man with no teeth."
