The first thing you posted was highlights of this young man playing football, and now you want to tell us how you are interested in his general welfare. Whatever. Possibly your and others crimes in this matter are worse than what the young man is alleged to have done.

Commission of first degree aggravated felony with a gun goes a little beyond trouble youth, hence being tried as an adult.

Well the kid punished for dipping will be better off in the long run. Nothing worse for an adolescent than to have the notion that they are above the law reinforced in their mind. They already think they are the exception to the rule and must be taught they are not. As a coach this was the first and most important lesson in any team sport.

Listen, I am not condemning a juvenile, I am judging the fruit and condemning the adults who will use this juvenile and then when he is of no more use to them cast them of like trash. That is the real crime. The truth is that in the vast majority of these cases, and I have seen many, evil adults claim altruistic intentions but stand to reap tangible gain and the troubled youth ends up worse off after they are tossed on the heap. Then there is the collateral damage done to the school environment. Truth is the thing that benefits the adults that want to win football games is the worse thing for the troubled youth and most of the kids involved. The newspaper is full of the fruit of this kind of business. But just keep your head in the sand and tell yourselves lies that make you feel better. Hope you can sleep at night.

The real question is do y'all idiot skilletheads care more about this young man toting the rock or your kids?I spent my life dealing with matters such as this. The young man has been charged as an adult and it will likely be a while before his case is adjudicated. All y'all talk about miracle turn arounds but the fact is that his young man has a long rap sheet and the odds are much more likely that life will continue in his new surroundings dragging others along with him. I have seen this too many times. You can't run from yourself. Real change happens when you stay and face the music not when you try to escape the consequences.

I hope this is a good game, it doesn't look like we have too many this season.

If it were a choice between hiring Mac McCurry and the bunch back or having a kid who was a danger to the community on the team I would choose the former. Lying and acting the fool are not the same as armed home invasion and robbery.

I want to know if that Hargis man who was so indignant over the ruckus a couple of years ago, and rightly so, will say boo about this in his paper, not holding my breath. Honestly I believe that the one big obstacle for MC is the players looking ahead to SP. Some on here believe that coaches and fans hurt the team by looking ahead but that is bunk. Coaches are supposed to look ahead and what fans do don't amount to a hill of roy between the lines.

From a strategery standpoint, I think that South Kimball's switching to a Single Wing J-Bird offense for the rest of the season will be will really help them ... against Whitwell. Unfortunately it will not prevent the Red Bull suppository being rammed up their fudge round against Marion County.

Skillethead dream sequence: *Marion overlooks Meigs and goes down big early. MC mounts a furious comeback but falls in heartbreaking fashion. Several key players including the head coach immediately transfer to South Kimball and MC rehires Mac McCurry as HC and he skypes Ricky Ross during the games to be the DC. In week four Skilletheads win by 750 and VictRoy burns down MCHS.
