  1. I didn't say that we didn't. I just don't see how MC gets to jump on their high horse, I would go out on a limb and say that SP totaled more points in 8 years than MC did all purpose yards. Lol Jk
  2. Only thing I didn't like about the ship is that it wasn't painted... I'm sure yall could help with that though.. By the way, let's not pretend MC is an ELITE program you were runner up for a state championship, got a new coach, and beat SP one year for the first time in 8 years... Get a grip.. Please...
  3. Seemed like on that last drive if Holland wasn't missing his receivers, the receivers were dropping it. They just need a few games to get in rhythm. This team is young and doesn't have a lot of experience in Friday night situations so as they continue to play I see them getting much better by playoff time. But as far as blocking goes, we need to improve there I agree with you.
  4. You won a dogfight with a team two classifications below you. Congrats. Sequatchie has a pretty solid defense. I'm not taking anything away from them. Not degrading them. I'm just Letting you know this team isn't the last 8 years teams. Although they play just as hard as any of them.
  5. Not playing that card at all. I'm stating that this year is not the last 10 years. We are, for once, an average 1-A team in my opinion. Playing that card when we were beating your eyes in would have been a different story, but this year it's true. We're an average 1-A team with a shot at MAYBE making a run in the east.
  6. Is it just me or does everyone think SP is supposed to compete with a larger classification just because we've drilled your eyes out the last 8 or 9 years. Here's the thing, it's a SP standard to beat ALL of the valley teams. Apparently other valley teams that are in a larger classification hold us to that standard as well, because they are so used to it. Your AA and AAA teams want to throw a super bowl parade when they beat SP... Here is the kicker, were a SINGLE A football team. Yes it is known that SP is not as good as they have been in the past, and they do lack size, they are young, and lack some fundamentals (that will improve with experience), but in reality, and according to classification, your kinda supposed to beat us. With improvement we can compete in the east in SINGLE A football...like we're supposed to do....Just saying....
  7. Nonsense Roy. That Allen man was the real deal at taking care of Griders balls.
  8. Isn't that what this website is for? Discussion? Do you have to speak only on your teams thread? Jw. I just put my input on how I figured the game would go.
  9. I played from 2009-2012 and never once played Bledsoe, because we would have run away with it every year.
  10. I'm not making any bold prediction like I did last week. SP by a TD
  11. Hard fought game by both teams, and the Pirates will improve. I will say that if someone doesn't get a body on a body up front were in for a long hard ride. Small or not, there's no excuse for not putting a body on a body. Period. We also need to protect the ball. Basically, it's early so it's expected to an extent, but we're not fundamentally solid right now. All were playing on is heart, and that will only take you so far.
  12. Pittsburg looking athletic but inexperienced on offense. D looks pretty solid.
  13. I along with a ton of alumni donated 250 this year to the football program. Any idea of this ship was the product of that?
  14. Blevins rushes for 150+ as well as Lilly. Ethan Moss shows up big on the defensive side of the ball. SP pulls away early but SC scores again in the fourth to make it a two possession game. SP 35 SC 22
  15. True. When he ran the gun it was zone, counter, and trap. 90% of the time the zone was a backside cut.
  16. Thanks. I wasn't around much last year had a lot going on at home and was working all the time. I went to the games but didn't post much. I'm glad to be back though. I love talking some pirate football.
  17. Agreed. Vic keeps the field looking immaculate. Heck our practice field looks as good as some teams playing field. He takes care of that grass that's for sure lol.
  18. Your right, if he fills out as the years go on he may be the one teaching linebackers to get low and wrap up or get exposed.
  19. Another thing on Raulston, he is a freshman, so anything can be improved over time. The standing straight up is coachable. So in time I see him improving and being one of the go to guys later on. Just has some maturing and learning to do, but all freshman do.
