Once again you are off with the facts....Greenville was down 7 late and carter"s 2-guard was 0-11......Carter should have won that game...I was at that game.....Don't tell Gatlinburg defense wins championships...don't tell Scott defense wins Championships...don't tell Unicoi or CAK all beaten by this Carter style that defense wins Championships.....Greenville did not slow down Carter........they still were running....it seems to be an equalizer of styles....gimmick...no....relentless.....yes......flex could be deemed a gimmick...any offense can be deemed a gimmick.....it's what works and is executed....but this style Carter runs is also the ultimate equalizer.....

None taken....I don't have a dime in this bet but I will say this........back in the 80"s mouse davis came up with the run-n-shoot offense in football and all the "Conventional ....3 yds and a cloud of dust"nay sayers said you couldn't win with it....my, my look what everybody is going to now...."Spread offense"...athletes in space.....look at the college game today...uptempo...spread the floor and create...Carolina you will see the light sooner or later....you probably subscribe to the idea offense wins games, defense wins championships...that is the most ludicrous statement ever made....2 teams play great defense and nobody scores, nobody wins....offense has to be the deciding factor....if offense wins games it wins championships....besides you ask the avg fan out there if they would rather pay to see a 32-30 game or a 102-100 game and we both know that answer.....by the by....Carter led by 14 in the Hardin Valley game and made some mistakes on both sides of the ball late....pg fouled out and missed assignments...they are good but still developing a young bench......"NO OFFENSE" but get your facts straight...they should have won that game from what I was told....

Looked up his stats and saw where he is avg 27+ pts and 12+ reb per game....where were these kind of numbers his jr year?

With the pg fugate transferring to G-P and Jackson going to Carter things have opened up....AE could be a sleeper but don't see where Fulton could be stronger with the loss of filer, nance and now Jackson. How will G-P be as well as Pigeon Forge be with what they lost?

We have not heard too much from them. Who is the front runner, sleeper, etc...

Isn't carter the team that has a crazy fast style? Believe they led the state in scoring? Word on the street has G-P getting a transfer....how will Fulton and A-E be this year?

Since Q-man has done a pretty thorough job of listing 4-aa teams what will their region competition be like over at 3-aa...can you give a breakdown of that district and its teams?

Q,......summer ball is summer ball.....agree with you about Catholic....lot of youngsters with serious minutes last year and they should be in the mix but the 4-aa district should be a tight race....look at 3-aa last year....district play was brutal like the sec.....summer ball is an opportunity to get better but too early to crown anyone yet.....remember it's 17 & 18 year olds making decisions!!!

Alcoa will not be deep....lost 4 out of 5 starters with teeter only starter back! Key players on the bench were also seniors! Need to check your info on this one!

I was at the Carter/Fulton game and Red and black they had an off night shooting, BUT it was their defense that kept them in the game. They kept the pg from driving the lane and held the kid jackson to below his avg. as well as #24 from scoring double digits. Looked like pretty good defense for a team who is avg. 92 pts a game but only scored 70...that is an off night for carter...

Another "bleacher coach" assessing the x's and o's of two teams. With all due respect and I don't even know you, your assessment of the Fulton/Carter game is way off. Fulton who has all their players back since december got outplayed, out hustled and out run by a carter team who made adjustments since their 21 point loss to Fulton in January. I might add they seemed to play with more heart. Aaaaaand Defense sir/ma'am was definitely played by Carter. To the novice you would say they don't, but let me clue you in, while they were'nt scoring their usual 92+ pts. per game they held fulton in check and forced role players to be the heroes! Now, I have watched alot of basketball in Knox Co. and would like to think I know a little basketball and Qsouth89, go back and really watch tape.

Looking at the scores of GP vs Fulton they won 56-50 and Carter 93-76...GP was up 10 going into the 4th and Carter was reported to be up by 20+ most of the second half...GP has played 11 games already and the officiating there must be related to Dolly in some way?*# Should be a good game worth watching....can GP slow down Carter's run-n-gun? I will make this trip for sure!!!!!!!!!!
