  1. Bump that BRR. If the Big Red can limit the number of 3rd & 4th down conversion Centennial gets this time around, l like our chances. Also like Coach Junior said (at least 3) Cent scores resulted from players trying to do too much. And drives being kept alive by timely flags: The pass interference flag thrown by the ref as he was about to pick up the ball in the endzone & the sideline catch/personal foul.
  2. Didn't say they needed it. But if it's out there use it.
  3. Thanks, You made great points also. Speaking from personal experience, these coaches do care. That hasn't always been the case- especially after certain players left school or used up their eligibility.
  4. Did anyone hear the Centennial head coach's interview on 102.5? Later on the show, the talking head seem to imply that the coach didn't seem to concerned about facing Henry County a second time and said his team controlled the game (which they did) for 31/2 quarters then took their foot off the gas. Back in my day that was called bulletin board material. I'll say more later in the week.
  5. I appreciate your opinion and any others you might have. I know some of the things you are referring to. Please contact me using the email in the paper, I'd like to talk and share some more.
  6. Here we go. I was wondering, if anyone behind the mask of anonymity that sites like this provide would comment on the QB change. Yes talent usually does always win out- unless money is involved and we know who has that. Instead of being critical on here. Come out in the open and try to be part of the solution. Care about these young men Sat-Thurs and the off season. Root for their ACT scores as much as you do their TDs. Ask them about their grades/classes instead of their good plays. As someone who will always take the time to mentor many of these "talented athletes", it pains me when I see their names on the front page, but experience has taught me that you can only help those who can see the big picture when it's shown to them. If you have problems with someone getting multiple chances to do the right thing, take it up with the people allowing that to happen. And remember don't hate the player-hate the game. Big Red Rolls tonight!
  7. No unexplainable first round lost this post season, huh dhstennis? Congrats.
  8. Congrats to Springfield. Good to see our former district teams winning. We miss you guys in Big Red Land.Good Luck next week.
  9. ObamaCare actually helps people. the Z plan only helped line the coffers of the TSSAA
  10. Worried about this game, but win or lose our boys will spark up and show what they are. Listening to pregame shows from Nashville ticked me off. One twice called us Rossview, the other one just talked about how tough the Williamson County teams are. Didn't mention how tough a recent two time state champion might be. Play pissed Big Red!
  11. Whew, games like that are hard on us middle aged guys, right olddevil? What a tough defense team. At times I thought #2 had a Henry County playbook on his wrist. He's the best opposing defensive player I've seen since Reeves-Maybin What a great run by Caleb McCutcheon to put Big Red ahead and the defense came up big in the end. On to Cool Springs University!
  12. Agree that these 4 players (especially the underrated big man in the middle #95. I make no bones about being biased), are better than those other 3, but throughout their careers those guys made big plays when they were needed. Dunlap got the accolades for causing and recovering the fumble but- bull rushes by Long and Kendall on previous plays caused the Powell line to focus on them.
  13. If we are who we think we are- We break the losing to Brentwood High streak tonight Big Red +14.
  14. Your thoughts now? I too was impressed with the Rossview defense, they kept HC from getting into a rhythm for most of the game. The QB Justice, RB McClendon and those LBs Estep and Dunlap are good players
  15. Apparently this is your first trip across the red, white and blue bridge that leads to the 10AAA version of Asgard- Big Red Country/. Get prepared to be shocked and awed by all you behold puny opponents. (The Pilgrim speaks the truth) Regardless of the weather, I forecast a Red Swarm repeatedly battering the Hawks. And it don't matter how high they try to fly!
  16. Pilgrim, I'm starting to like you a lot, despite you being a Clarksville Wildcat and all. We forgive, RFD he delusional and don't know what's about to happen to his son's team.
  17. How much better is this Rossview offensive unit compared to the last couple that lost to the Big Red? Because this defense is superior those.
  18. Recruiting! No ground work laying here, I've learned it's better to assail character and characters before games- so my words stand on their own merit and won't be called "sour grapes" should we lose. I'm not talking about your football program- just the guy leading it. Patriots moving to Clarksville- it would take a natural disaster striking the county for that to occur. You wouldn't happen to also be an Austin Peay fan would you?
  19. Still their father's Clarksville High. Can't wait to see some stats from this game. Led by 55, 56, 95 (my underrated dude up front) and 97 and 47 in the middle. The Red Swarm Rolls!
  20. I was going to respond to kevin38, but fellow Big Red Boosters had my back. Roll Red Roll!
  21. Hey olddevil, Pilgrim seems like a good guy, but I can't believe how politically correct all you Republicans are being on this thread towards him and his team. So, I guess it's up to me to toss a boulder into in this little placid pond. (And you know I don't mind) Most Henry County fans hate Clarksville High and love beating them in anything. ALL of us have a healthy dislike for the Wildcats head coach and some of the things he did at while at Northeast. Remember the 2013 regular season game in which more than a half dozen Northeast players came down with cramps when HC was making their comeback, despite the temperature being in the high 30s? I'd be curious to learn the circumstances under which those 3 skill position kids from Northeast found their way to CHS this season.
