  1. What's up with the Coming to America gif, johnny reb
  2. the city data website lists 3 high schools in Maryville, johnny reb.
  3. Add tight end Nate Kendall to the list SEC1rules posted. He doesn't get many ball thrown to him, but has skills and instincts.
  4. GQ/Maryville may not get all the talent in the county/area, but he gets who he wants. Otherwise the other two Maryville city schools would be competitive some years. Or is it just luck that the smallest of the three is always the best. A "rogue" official or one who wasn't blinded by the Maryville light and made the correct call. The rule says no lineman can block more than three yards down field. If the ball is on the 3 yd line the end zone is downfield.
  5. Speaking for Henry County- East was the best team they played last season.
  6. Yes you did. Part of me hopes for a round two in the playoffs. Good luck tonight. Stay dry.
  7. Is there a place where I can get Memphis area game articles/scores besides the Commercial Appeal? Don't want to pay for them
  8. This is why player discipline is so important, especially in big games. I can count on ONE hand the personal foul penalties against Henry County that were not roughing passer/kicker in the last 5 seasons.
  9. It's one thing to get over the hump, another to stay over. Ya feel me? Your coaches can't kick into the wind at the end of a quarter instead of allowing the clock to run out and get the wind at your back. Whitehaven should have been in position to beat Maryville in 2011. Players reading keys better will prevent trick plays from working like in 2012.Good thing they called that ineligible player downfield. I hope you are right. It would be nice to see multiple teams from West Tn win in Cookeville.
  10. This is what "they" think about the "urban" teams from Shelby Co and they will do so until you all prove them wrong with effective game plan implementation and management from coaches as well as disciplined execution by players. Ridgeway played this way against Henry County and that's why they were able to beat them this year as opposed to previous times when they seemed to think their superior athletic ability would be enough.
  11. I'm glad I didn't drink any water while I was in Clarksville this week. Otherwise I'd be talking as crazy as the Pilgrim.
  12. When a team rushes for that many yards (417 to be exact) they should score more than 21 points The Jackets defense didn't stop HC mental mistakes did. The refs not allowing either team to get into a good flow didn't help either. The TSSAA likes to play games with HC and will probably put us in Quad 3 and send the Jackets west on the hopes it will put District 10AAA at a disadvantage. Beating a team without one of it's better players takes away from the win for some of us.
  13. Wish I could have met you. If olddevil likes you, you must be a quality guy.
  14. Hey Commissioner, You guys are legit, but that wasn't one of HC better efforts this season We seemed out of sync on offense. But good luck the rest of the way. It was the best high school atmosphere on the road I've seen in some time.
  15. Chill out Red Warrior! From everything I've seen and read Coach Wilson is a classy guy unlike some of those so-called coaches in Clarksville. This week he said nothing that could be used as bulletinboard material. Between that and the Springfield posters here, it's been hard for me to manufacture the usual disdain for our opponent. Somehow I'll find the strength to get worked by kickoff. I'm working on channeling my inner Jimmy Johnson. Can someone tell me where on the radio dial can I can the local broadcast? I'll be here til 4.
  16. Shows what a great coach he is. Bet that guy in Maryville wouldn't have thought to do that!
  17. Agreed. Tell me how clean are the restrooms and how far from the visitors are they? It's important to my wife and to me if the game is close?
  18. Springfield fans consider this question about Henry County. Has Springfield spent a good deal of time (on the practice field,in the weight room, at film study) focusing on beating the Patriots this season? I know the players and coaches from Liberty and Ridgeway did and managed to hang on to win close contests. If Springfield hasn't done the same, Henry County will win comfortably. I expect to see a more diversified offensive attack from the Big Red Friday night, hopefully featuring that beast of a tight end I saw at Kenwood.
  19. Thanks for looking out for me since I'm directionally challenged wihen it comes to Clarksville. Two years ago I turned left and ended up at West Creek.
  20. Good Luck to the Jackets this week. See you next week. What's happening in Springfield that is taking away from what the team is doing?
