  1. I understand that Quarles is a great coach and his teams arewinning machines, despite not having overwhelming talent, but can someone explain to me why it seems that year after year the best football players in a city with 3 high schools of similar size (within 200 students) all seem to end up at Maryville the smallest of the 3?
  2. Them Patriots should be OK on O and D. Looking forward to my first trip to Kenwood Stadium and watching the Big Red Roll. Go Big Red!
  3. I noticed a serious look on many of the Patriot players Wed & Thurs. If it translate to the field , they should play well enough to win. Roll Red Roll!
  4. As a black Henry Countian who has lived in Memphis (Higbee off Central and worked on Mt. Moriah) I can say with experience- Memphis isn't that bad. It's no Detroit (Another place I've lived.) There are still convenient stores in Memphis without bars and plexiglass. Neither the team nor its fans has any concerns about their safety if they came to Memphis to play anybody. With Henry County being a rural place, most fans are capable of taking care of any business as needed. Ridgeway and other Memphis teams chose to play at Henry County for the larger monetary split they will get by playing before a packed house. GO BIG RED!
  5. I didn't see the 2004 game against NW, was it as badly officiated as the 2011 playoff game vs NE? I
  6. My bad. I'm always getting him and Montrell Pardue from Northeast mixed up all the time. Pardue should be on the short list of best players in 5A
  7. As a biased Henry County fan, I like Chase Henderson providing he gets enough touches in a talented backfield. But the Perry kid from Northeast is special on both sides of the ball.
  8. I didn't. Apparently you missed the post on page 11 by the person whose username is starsnbars.
  9. Hey Mav4life, Found you info interesting, but when looking at stats, I always think of this quote, "There are lies, darn lies and statistics." Just to change the tone of these posts, knowing some history I was surprised that West's nickname is Rebels (East Tenn was very Unionist during the Civil war) and they are playing the Patriots- will there be other remnants of the Confederacy on that side of the stadium?
  10. Hey Big Red Nation, I'm sure it was an oversight that you failed to mention the great football tradition at Central High that was part of the foundation for HCHS.
  11. Major Kudos for coming within a point of predicting the final score. Go Big Red
  12. Hey bigboytouchfootball34- what were you saying about HCHS?
