Newton got the MVP for the year and Giltner got it for the tournament. This year, you could make a case for Giltner or Trey Carruthers at Harpeth or Pierre or Nicholson for Sycamore. In the two Harpeth/Sycamore games, both first halves were even, but Sycamore played a better second half the first game and Harpeth played a great second half the other night. If both teams play their best the entire game, it will be a great game. Both have to get to the finals first before we can talk about it.

Harpeth's game with MC was suspended at halftime with Harpeth up 13. Don't know if and when it would be finished. Low scoring game with MC playing a zone and slowing the game down.

Harpeth's game with Goodpasture tonite has been cancelled due to the death of the president of Goodpasture,

Harpeth played fair the first quarter, horrible the second and third quarter and good the final quarter, but it was way too little too late. Trey had 25, Kevin had 12 but the whole tema takes this loss. They were not ready to play and give credit to MC, they were ready to play and took it to us.

Giltner had 23 and Trey had 15 with a couple of dunks. 13 players scored for Harpeth. They will face a very good McNairy Central team that gave Dyer County all they wanted yesterday. McNairy/Dyer County was tied in the fourth quarter before Dyer CO turned it on and won by 8-10 points. Harpeth will have toplay smart basketball to compete in this game. It willbe a good matchup for both teams.

Harpeth has a play day next week Nov 10th at the high school. Cheatham, Clarksville High, Nashville Christian, Covington, Clarksville Northwest, and a couple of more teams.

TN Travelers 17-U won their first game 54-28 against a team from Brooklyn. THey lost their second game by 12 to the Playaz from New Jersey. They started out horrible and were behind by 21 and then made a decent game of it. They play agin tonight at 10:30.

Giltner had 20 for the night to go along with Newtons 21.

Girls region games start on Friday and Boys play on Saturday. The 1st and 2nd place teams host the first round at their home court vs the 3rd and 4th place teams from the other district. Girls semifinals on Monday with finals on Wed. Boys semifinal on Tues and finals on Thursday. The host team does not have to have 1250 seats for the first round game. The games Monday thru Thursday will be at Waverly

Hey Big Country, Thanks for all of the updates all year. Did youenjoy the atmosphere last night at Harpeth. It was a great game and I expect the next time these two teams line up again, it will be just as intense. Do you have the bracket for Saturday's games with the times. I would love tosee when all of the teams are playing. Thanks again for your input all year

Harpeth won by 29 72-43. West had 17. 10 from the free throw line. Harpeth was led by Newton, Baker, Giltner, and both Carruthers. The dunks by Giltner and Caruthers in the second half were tremendous. West is no MVP of the league./ He scored 17 tonite, but you have to contribute on both ends. The interior zone defense of SC was picked apart all nite long. The Harpeth Defense was tremendous again with a lot of help off the bench. The last four games have been 28-30 victories. Jamie gave West the three headed monster defenseman of Jones/Giltner/Newton. He got frustated early and was visible worn out with three minutes to go in the first half. The second half he did nothing.
