The timing it would seem easier to hire head coach already ob staff. Probably easiest transition at this time. The school Leaders peiority is on academics and the whole student body. Not that that's a bad thing we all know it's good but that mindset usually hire someone that has familiarity to keep school going same direction.

I heard two stories 1 was he wanted to be closer to home and his young child. The other was he was told another school in KS would sign his brother or cousin also if he came. The first sounds more logical.

Whatever happened it's obvious it's dealt with. Good luck to that kid. How big is the LB HT and WT. Is he one of the Adams that played in 90s son. Keep up with a lot of kids in youth ball I knew of parents and I'm sure one of the Adams had a son that played QB in middle school. He was good size kid.

This what was reported: he signed a scholarship with Independence which covered his fees and when he decided to transfer to be closer to home the coach never sent in because it was summer. He paid something if he didn't he wouldn't been cleared to play at EMC. An official transcript has to sent for him to be eligible to play. If wasn't phantom charge official transcript never received therefore he wouldn't had been eligible to play.

Generally the kids will adjust. But like you said the issue is with the staff and continuity with the scheme and system.

Surprised but not shocked on Jones at HVA. He will be missed. Your frosh and JV teams beat HVA but HVA seemed to improve offensively post Oak Ridge with all 3 teams (fr, if, var.). Wow going to Nashville. I see OR anywhere from 6-4 to 8-2. Farragut and MJ will be tough. Huge game vs Powell and West (will be tough to score on) HVA a toss up before Jones hire now really a toss up. Talent wise we have players and should be very good defensively. Replacing QB will be tough. Fulton will be Fulton replacing a 4 year QB will be tough and losing so much talent defensively and athletically but got some young talent. Wouldn't be surprised if Clinton competes this year but neither one of those teams will beat OR. Campbell Co and Karns not close.

The QB is very good. I wasn't at Fulton game but the talk was he should start because it gave OR more options. He got rid of ball quickly. Playoffs I sat, rather stood right next to 1 of Clinton coaches and he said that OR would be much better cause Booker holds ball to long. He said Booker would have been great threat at WR. I had to agree with because it seems him running around at QB got him tired as a DB in second half against Catholic. One kid you guys don't talk about is #12. He was special offensively and defensively. Very consistent the last 2 years. Congrats on turf and scoreboard. OR has always been the class of East Tennessee football. Fans are tough but you always put a good product on the field. Many programs would love to compete like the Wildcats have for decades. Now I'll get off OR thread. (remember I lived there in 70/80s before moving away and returning back to Oak Ridge South better known as Hardin Valley.)

Have you seen his career highlights on twitter. He ran for over 3400 yds and had under 350 carries it what I was told by a coach here that's very good friends with his dad. ( hint State Farm). His soph year he had over 1300 yds and this year it says over 1200 yards . I would love to see him in the I. You guys (looking at highlight film) did that in playoff with him and it seemed to help. Only question about Graham I have is why so many different #s. Love him in track..gritty little guy!

They spoke about him the other day on 1 of radio stations. Darel graduates on May 4th at Eastern Mississippi JUCO and reports May7th to UT. The GFM account was a last ditch effort to get a fantom charge paid at another JUCO he never played for. One of the Oak Ridge coach T writers knows a little more about it. Darrell was actually was screwed in this but it was taken care of.

The Oak Ridge game is huge for HVA. Our defense will be solid. Like its been (seemingly for both teams) our success is dependent on our O line. We have to replace our QB. Our skills are not bad. A couple of young guys must step up.

Was that the Thanksgiving weekend of 05, I was there that night and I have to agree. Rankin got out of character. That QB could run and the RB.

At HVA track meet seen a couple of your guys. J. Mitchell is out and looks good. Graham is healthy and won 100 meters (with bad start) against some of areas best. Ran 10.9. Shot out of cannon in 4x200 came back to win that. Didn't see the other kid that played football but was told he just got back out. I do know Pendergrass ran against HVA @OR but didn't see him at HVA. I know we have over 100 kids at HVA for track but good to see football players out too at OR.

I think more by committee early. Replacing Aaron will he tough. But we had some guys (Gunn and Hardin) get some work when he was injured. Our skill set should be improved from what I hear but like you we have to wait and see upfront. JMO. The field is coming along slow due to last weeks rain. Was there and it says Calaen Thompson, Isaiah Goscowitz, Vaughn Coleman, and Jordan Graham. Besides Graham don't know who else plays football. But I do know the Coleman kid is a freshman. Your 4x200 barely I mean barely missed out of state by .03 of a second. Graham started that one and the anchor was kid name Stacey Wright. I see his mother at all the track meets. I know he's a football player too. We'll be cheering the Wildcats and other East Tennessee teams on. HVA girls will battle force overall and boys have a couple of top contenders. Good luck.

Do they have any pictures of it yet? McKamey may be a better builder than coach. He does a phenomenal job with facility enhancements.

Replacing QB will be tough. But sometimes its about the PROGRAM. Maryville is a lot like Bama and Patriots. Tough to bet against. The Oakland game will be a good one. How good will Cleveland be this year? May challenge in the East. Don't know what DB has upfront but can't count them out either.

It is HVA home game. They decide. No the visiting coach has no say.

I started some threads with HVA also. You guys are the first I see (lived and worked in the Atomic City from 73 - 92 on and off til transferred to Phoenix then Texas. Moved back to Tennessee and my grand-kids graduated from HVA. Plus a coach that coach with Bill Young at Oak Ridge is on HVA staff and we have mutual friends). If you want to look I go on to other schools a lot too lol. I hope your line is what you say in week 1. But you guys always seem to be more pessimistic than optimistic. lol

Oak Ridge Boys are at it again. What did Cats predict preseason last year. It's so funny every year you all this team over achieves according to you all pre-season records. What was there record last year. I think they were 10-3. Not bad to a team that was supposed to go 4-6. Well at HVA we have to replace Dykes. Our defense will have a chance to be pretty good but our offense will have some work to do. We hope to contain Graham again. Our staff told our players to follow him to restroom. It was so funny the first play you faked to him and our safeties and corner were all in the backfield and #4 was by himself. QB is key. Oak Ridge is an option team so lineman don't need to be big. They don't run the I or an offense that need to push people around. The strange thing is why didn't they go in gun with Higgins.
