Waverly beat themselves. They didn't deserve the win. They are better than that. They shot themselves in the foot. Turned the ball over 3 times in the red zone. Pitiful they threw away a district championship BUT 1-9 to 8-2 is a HUGE turn around. Hopefully the Tigers get refocused and make a push in the playoffs because they are very capable of reaching semi-finals...

One day away. I know Fairview is tough and the game could go either way, but IMO Waverly has come too far to slip now. From 1-9 to 8-1, 1st place, chance to become 2014 District Champs, and a #1 seed in the playoffs with home field advantage...plus it is Senior night....The Tigers are going to be wide open!! You might want to be at this game and witness what nobody believed when I said that Waverly was going to be up at the top this year back in July & August!

Week 10 is here...crazy how fast it flies. Fairview comes to Tiger Town on Halloween night. Tigers are 8-1 Yellow Jackets are 6-3. Its the Tigers Senior night and they are looking to become District Champs with the win for the first time in 20 years. Predictions? Thoughts? Should be a battle!

I'll beat my chest proudly because Waverly IS the best team in the district...and like I said in August...Waverly will prove it! And the have...and will continue to. I hope Camden comes over here to Waverly thinking like y'all do and if they do Camden will be the ones heading to the woodshed. I'm here big shot! I try not to live on coacht like some. I do have a life. We played bad Friday night. It just happens sometimes. If you think Camden is gonna walk in to Waverly and have an easy night your sadly mistaken. Also if you think Camden will hold Waverly to under 3 TDs your really mistaken. The only way to beat Waverly is to out score them. Waverly will make some defensive adjustments and will be ready to battle. Bring it on Camden junkies

If y'all were in Waverly's shoes, y'all would be doing the same. The community, school, and team are excited about our Tigers. They have every right to be. They have worked hard. Do you blame Waverly for bashing Camden. They want to beat them more than anyone on the schedule. Its been a long time coming...11 years to be exact...the Tigers are Hungary and NO ONE TEAM in this District will stand in their way! This is their year and its well deserved.

This statement is incorrect. The majority of these boys did play last year & started. Waverly has just been young. The only "new" players are 4 basketball players and 1 transfer from Murfreesboro. 5 players is not the majority, but it definitely helps! All 5 of these guys are outstanding additions. The fact is..the majority of the players on the field have played the last year or so as Freshman & Sophomores. There are still several young players on this team that are starters. I was told the offensive and defensive line only has 1 Senior. Several Sophomores are starters as well.

Lol. I never made any name calling. Just said Camden will be down. I still believe Camden has less talent this year compared to years past. Camden has a great line but Brown is really the only real skill threat. Camden better use these 2 weeks wisely. They are going to need it. Don't be offended bottoms...
