Why would you drop to 120 from 126? If anything, go up to 132, a lot better chance of placing in the state. 120# is probably the toughest weight in the state D1.

It's not just in "strategy" in the state tourney. Look at the big tournaments, bradley, ryan, mccallie, etc..... most teams do not fill 14 weight classes. We should go back to 12, or maybe even 10 like college. That would make matches more competitive and more exciting for the fans. It also would allow smaller teams with great wrestlers to be able to comore with large schools.

Not really, Kinda of boring. D2 would have three champs if it was still one tournament: Elkin @120, King @ 152 and Wimper....that's it.

Your (#13) got drilled by your ( # 15) in the Ryan tournament, Bowers from Cleveland pinned your (#13) and beat your #15. You don't have Bowers anywhere. Also your (# 14) got beat by Shrader (I think Franklin) in the Ryan final. Rippy should be 6th or higher, although doesn't look like he's wrestled alot this year.

But not before Dream Team selections are made. Not sure who disrespected buckeyeintn's kid. fill me in.

I don't have a dog in this fight but here is what was sent to the rest of the state and surrounding area(s). The Grand Championship is a single day tournament that is open to all freshmen level wrestlers in the Middle Tennessee area that MTWOA services and the JV & Girls tournament is open to all Tennessee and surrounding State wrestlers. JV level is defined as 10 or fewer Varsity matches or any wrestler with a 50% or less Varsity Record

This is going to sound crazy and hate to break ya'lls heart, I am not a Ryan fan and have followed wrestling for 40 years in TN. Wrestled D! in college. If Boykin or Evans wrestled Eli King tomorrow for one period (1).... Eli wins 4 - 1. of course if they start in referees position they would squash him..... maybe.

Absolutely, King by far. One of the top wrestlers ever from TN. Not to take anything away from Boykin, He is really good, beat Evans by 1 point.
