  1. Murphy avenges the loss to king and Holloway gets a pin. 18 point swing puts the match out of reach for fr.
  2. It was 103 and he was in the 8th grade. Adam Connell and Nick Gray came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
  3. I'd love to take that bet sommers.
  4. The Baylor squad is as tough as ever and should be considered the best team in the state in all divisions. I don't think there is a team that could beat their end of season line up.
  5. I agree, I think Wrestling"God" just posts whatever he thinks at the moment without quality insight.
  6. Cleveland is certainly down this year. The honor will belong to the winner of Baylor vs FR this year. Two very dominant teams. Baylor will wrestle Bradley tonight.
  7. This feed is just sad, d2 is better and because of that yall kicked us out of your tournament. The last time Baylor won the individual tournament they could have beat a d1 all champs team. The best wrestles in recent history to compete after highschool have come from division 2. Leen, Marable, Simpson, and Cody Cleveland, compared to Keller from d1.
  8. Averaging 2.5 champs a year, cant complain
  9. The 170 you are referring to is Cayman Seagraves. He is a boarding student at baylor and has been since he was a freshman. He has been ineligible to compete in TSSAA sports because he received a full academic scholarship through the DSP (Distinguished Scholar Program). This year his parents have chosen to give up the money he earned in the classroom in order for him to be able to compete in the sport he loves due to TSSAA rules. He is from Georgia and wrestled for the club the feeds into Pope Highschool.
  10. Lets out the finals mats on stages, i think that would help a lot.
  11. The ones who ruined it for us in the first place. The ones who couldn't compete with that level of competition. The problem is the dominant percentage the average. They choose to vote for the easier path rather than put on their work boots and climb to the top.
  12. Just fine, the wrestlers who compete will wrestle to the best of their ability in this stepping stone to the state tournament. GO BIG RED!
  13. It is really just sad to listen to you whine. You cant change a refs call, you adapt and move forward, like Sutherland did when he won in the rematch. You play with the cards you are dealt. FR lost, Baylor won. It is another check mark in the win column for the bad guys. That is how it will go down in the record books, with no asterisk for a questionable call.
  14. Baylor Mccallie match, state duals, region, state. It is ridiculous, Parker and Hoodenpyle will wrestle 4 times in a month. The TSSAA does what they choose to do for money. two more region tourneys means they can charge admission more. It is as simple as that. I understand a split for duals, but I agree with your dream, one tourney, one champion.
  15. Coaches demands do nothing. Every single division 2 coach voted against the region tournament format implemented this year.
  16. Explain to me why floor space is so crucial? I do not see much floor space at the NCAAs.
  17. I wish I could have found a picture of the finals at McKenzie, that was a sight.
  18. Can we at least get in an athletic facility rather than an agricultural center where the dirt under the mat creates lumps. It is sad.
  19. Is Simpson avoiding Sutherland? Guess the first match was a fluke.
  20. that is directed at you also salterjd
  21. reftn do you understand the term "casual fan" I am talking about the people with no connection to kids wrestling in the tournament but enjoy wrestling. I guess there are not very many of those where you are from. In chattanooga it is much more common. Your issue should be improving the support for wrestling in middle tennessee rather than worrying about how well chattanooga travels.
  22. So sacrifice kids feeling like a champion and looking up at the fans stacked above them to wrestle on mats that are lumpy because there is dirt underneath them? I would drive to Memphis if that is what it took to have the atmosphere of McKenzie Arena. Unfortunately the rest of the state does not have the casual wrestling fans that the greater Chattanooga area has. I mean how could you expect anywhere but the area of the state with the most champions to have the most fans?
