Collinwood would have to be one. They won seven games last year and this year are now 8-3 with an eight game win streak. They are also in first place in their district.

As I recall,Collinwood beat Summertown at Summertown and the starters played all 32 minutes.They only beat them Collinwood by 2 or 3, again with the starters playing all 32 minutes. I believe Kephart missed both games due to injury. I've heard that the Trojanettes have had one of the toughest conditioning programs around the last two years. Maybe that's why they are as tough as nails. From what I saw in the preseason, they have Ward and Kephart and maybe one more off the bench that can play when needed. Should be a hard fought and well coached game on both sides.

I hear that Collinwood went to McNairy last week and won by a point. Any details on the game? McNairy is always good year after year.

It is very possible these teams will meet again when tournament time rolls around. Both have good teams. As far as a mvp, a lot of good players to choose from. But it's not about who brings home the individual title, rather who brings home the TEAM title. Good luck to all TEAMS.

The better team does not always win. Lets be honest, Perry County is not as good as they have been in the past and Collinwood has greatly improved. Yes, there were some bad calls, but if Perry County was that great then the calls would not have mattered.

Word has it (don't know if it is true) that Daniel had unkind words for Edney as the game ended and then tried to get her to come out of the stands during the boys game. If it is true, what a classless display of sportsmanship. If a player out performs you, give them them the respect they deserve. The FACT is that Perry County stuck their shoe in Collinwood's rear and some got their feeling hurt.

Hats off to Wayne Co. They played smart by packing it in the lane and daring Collinwood to shoot from outside most of the night. Shooting was terrible from the field and even worse from the line. Not the same team that went to Perry Co. and played with fire.

Cograts to Collinwood on a hard fought game. Was a 1 to 3 point game in the first half and stayed 7 to 8 points until the very end. the Collinwood program has improved greatly, so keep up the hard work.

Expect it to be a good won. As long as teams are overlooking the Trojanettes, expect them to continue to be in the hunt. As for depth on Wayne Co. part, we shall see.

With the two studs he has had in girls anyone could have won. Let's see if he has that kind of record after this year.

Wayne Co. will have to play better than yesterday if they hope to have any chance vs Trenton. Way to many turnovers. Bad free throw shooting. Both teams played sloppy. If Wayne Co. would have pounded the ball in the post, then the game would not have even been close. Ruddle was open all game and so was Doyle while he was on the floor. Bryant, the tallest player on the floor, posted one time. Why? Trenton may have to much quickness for Wayne Co. guard and they don't have anyone who can stop Doaks. The best team yesterday was Middleton. They have far to much quickness for any the remaining single A teams.

The more money taken in, the more money for the staff in the T$$AA. It's no wonder Carter's salary over is over $100,000 a year.

Refs must be held accountable. Right now there is none. Fired? No. Fined? No. Suspended? No. Sometimes demoted to JR. High so they can go home early. Not all officials are bad. But the ones that are, are terrible. The bad thing is to see a three man crew in which all three are bad. If a person at most other jobs do a bad job day after day, what happens? They are not around very long. Train the officials better and hold them accountable and the less people will complain.

I think what whosyadaddy is saying is that even though Lee is the head coach, Rhodes is the real coach.

The refs were bad in both games. Moffet does not have the smarts to get out of a thunder storm much less assign refs. The refs have been bad all year with the exception of two or three. I'm told that none of the coaches like Moffet assigning the refs, but what can be done? Some problems I've noticed are, 1. a lot of the refs do not know the rules, 2. a lot have gotten to old to make it down the floor, and 3. some spend more time checking out what's going on off the floor instead of watching the game. The T$$AA needs to hold the refs accountable. I guess the refs are a reflection of the T$$AA though. The T$$AA does not have the smarts to get out of the storm either.

Should be a good game. Coaching goes to Summertown. Talent goes to Perry Co. Hustle and defense goes to Summertown. Winner by 6 or less.

On any given night any of the top five teams can win it( Mt. Pleasant, Wayne Co., Summertown, Columbia Academy, or Santa Fe). Look for it to be a very tough tournament.
