Just got word Drew Johnson resigned at Columbia Central, accepted an asst position at Hendersonville... Thought Central is a good place to coach? Central has had three solid years the past three yrs.. Third coach to leave in past three years.. Why the turnover?

It's getting that time again.. Who is in the running for the head coaching jobs at BGA, Marshall Co, and Stewarts Creek.. All 3 teams have a good nucleus of players returning..

Catie Woods, former player at Lipscomb Univ has accepted the head coaching job for girls basketball at Columbia Academy .. She will have her hands full since they only won 1 game this past year.. Good luck to Coach Woods!!

A coaching legend and very well respected coach resigned today. He is going to be seeking to get into politics while running for the county clerk's position in Wilson County.. Bud Brandon at Wilson Central will be missed roaming those sidelines....

Last time I checked, its 11 vs 11 on the field... that is what it looked like when I attended the Clinic Bowl championships in Cookeville this past yr...

Coach Bradley comes highly respected in the coaching circles... He has a passion for the game of football... he will surprise some people ... the kids in MP better be ready to get to work because I know he will put them in the weight room ASAP... The kids will respond to him and I believe he will get 40 kids out to play... after talking to some folks from Wayne Co, they say he will do a good job and runs some veer and wing t offense... now that will be interesting and I want to wish Coach Bradley good luck...

I talked to Webb Williams, the AD, and he said all coaches with PE certification could not be interviewed due to no PE positions available... They only had a SPED, Math and History position available..

Got word Stone Memorial hired Coach Tipps from Loretto today ... Is this true? If it is, what a loss for Loretto... My niece plays for Loretto and they have a good group coming back next year...

This TCA team is solid... I watched them play this year and with what they have returning, they will be a tough team to beat.. TCA is in a great location and they get those good Madison Co players that do not enroll in public schools...plus, it is a great school with a great environment...

Talked to a source in MP and reason Hamilton did not get the girls job is because there was no teaching positions available for what he is certified in... They were forced to hire someone who had a SPED certification.. Hamilton is certified in PE..

You got that right... It is a huge motivational boost for the boys basketball program..

Penny will do a great job.. he has a basketball mind and knows how to get the players motivated.. He will bring discipline and the players will play hard for him.. I talked to him yesterday and he is excited about this opportunity and looks forward to summer workouts, camps, etc...

MP has made a recommendation and it is not Coach Myers... It is a guy from Wayne Co but coaches somewhere else... I dont want to say his name yet til it is official and signed off...
