Not trying to be rude, but 1. Coach Lane is an intelligent man. He's not going to cause himself problems and tell people he wants the Roane State job when there is no opening, plus cause himself problems at Rockwood with players & parents. 2. Coach Works teaches Psychology at Roane State. 3. Coach Lane is taking Psychology classes at night on Monday & Wednesday. Would go out on a limb and say Rockwood High School doesn't offer Psychology as a class.

Wouldn't believe your sources at this point. But Coach Works has to retire for the possibility to even come up. So it may be a moot point.

Not trying to be rude, but the Roane County News & Morgan County News have both as co-champions. You were correct in your statement, but the tiebreaker was used to determine the#1 seed for the tournament. Does not change the fact that both were 10-2 in the district. I think you would see both schools & coaches agree with this thinking.

Please try not to show wasteless hostility towards Devils97. Follow the Golden Rule towards him. Let us sing the praises towards the other teams in District 4A and not waste energy on things we cannot control. Congratulations to Coalfield on their win tonight.

Devils97 seems to have forgotten that Oneida defeated Harriman two weeks ago. So much for the devils not losing to a team from Scott Co. theory. But then again, look at the source of the theory. Peace on earth & good will towards all men.

Rockwood actually ended up as co-champions with Wartburg in District 4A. Both schools had 10-2 records. Wartburg gets the number one seed in the tournament with their sweep of Harriman during the regular season, while Rockwood split with the Devils. Best of luck to both schools next week in the tournament.

The Tigers actually are co-champions of District 4A. Monday's victory over Wartburg gave Rockwood & Wartburg identical 10-2 records. Wartburg gets the number one seed in the tournament due to sweeping the Blue Devils of Harriman, while Rockwood split with Harriman. Congratulations to Wartburg & Rockwood on their championships.
