  1. Henry County is a pretty good football team but that the officiating was a joke. There were so many uncalled holder penalties and pass interfering was going on a lot too. I hate that the weather played a factor too. I think that game pretty much ends our chance at winning the state championship and maybe making the playoffs.
  2. We shall see. I'm still sticking to it. The mighty Hawks come in and get after you.
  3. By everything I have read from Henry County people it seems like you all really struggle defending the pass. Also, we will bring a big crowd and the normal home field advantage will be limited some. I'm ready for this one and hope that we get good weather!
  4. We have more passing yards than anyone though
  5. Wow, wow, wow now. Make no mistake. We will exploit Henry County's weakness on Friday. And I'm serious about you all being ready to be upset at home this week. I've heard that Henry County is a pretty decent place to play and that it is comparable to playing at our place
  6. We are young but we are a great program. We might not beat Henry County (especially with all of the rain we had today causing mud and maybe taking away our speed advantage) but we have to believe in our kids.
  7. Finally, someone from Henry County who gets it. We are great at passing, Henry County (according to all of you HC people on this board) has struggled defending the pass. This will be the biggest test Henry County faces all year
  8. We will bring the passing and you bring your umbrella because we are going to be raining on your 4 game shutout parade. The weather was bad Friday and that slowed our offense down some but the weather is supposed to great this week and we will be primed and ready. GO HAWKS!
  9. We will have success throwing the ball for sure. We are the best passing team Henry County has seen so far and should be able to score a lot of points. We struggled to stop CHS, but shut Dickson down and should have a good chance at slowing Henry County down now that our defense is clicking! I'm saying 42-28 Hawks!
  10. No way. We will win big tonight against Dickson, Henry County will win big against CHS, and then we will go down to Henry County and beat them to get back in the playoff hunt
  11. You have got to be kidding me! You must be replacing Rossview with CHS. We played with Henry County last year and came up short and they are down this year. A couple of teams have thrown all over them from what I've read on here and Jordan will throw all over them as well.
  12. I just believe in our boys! We are young, but we are big and have played a much tougher schedule! We will win this one and will keep winning!
  13. We are so much better on the line than CHS! This one won't be close!
  14. You can say whatever you want but it's a 35+ point win for the Hawks! Rossview has bought more tickets than CHS and the sea of red will be coming and will fill the entire visitors side and most of the home side and will see their team dominate!
  15. Heck yes we have played a tougher schedule! CHS hasn't played anyone yet! We win by 35+ just like last year!
  16. I'll take all of the winners that you picked, but the CHS pick is so off it's ridiculous!!! Clarksville High hasn't played anyone good yet and is by far the worst 4-0 team in Tennessee. Our boys at the BEST school in the state, much less the city of Clarksvile, is used to beating up on 6A teams. Our move to 5A only makes it easier! Rossview WINS and WINS BIG!
  17. Hawks win by 35+ in dominating fashion. Station Camp isn't very good and lost to the worst 3-0 team in Tennessee in CHS in their first game. Rossview is about to show the world what they are all about and will send Station Camp to 0-4 and will hand CHS a loss in back-to-back weeks. Go HAWKS!!!!
  18. Pilgrim, you must be delusional. Rossview has been a 6A powerhouse for years now and is stepping down to 5A and will dominate there too. We aren't worried about CHS at all. CHS barely beat an 0-3 Station Camp team that we are about to go out and beat by 35+. CHS will lose to Rossview by 28+ and won't make the playoffs this year and will be watching the Hawks make a deep playoff run!
  19. After talking with some of the other parents in the stands during the second half against McGavock, yesterday and at church this morning, I’m a little surprised that no one has talked on this board about this issue. It’s public knowledge that three or four of our players were suspended for doing things that are not in line with being a high character person. Coach Lambert stated that we are a “disciplined program†but kids getting in trouble for the things that these kids got in trouble for goes deeper than that. It was stated in the local newspaper that those players would be suspended for two games. Here are links to our coach discussing the suspensions: http://www.theleafchronicle.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2014/08/28/rossview-seeks-st-win-season-key-players/14764823/ http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/high-school/2014/08/23/hillsboro-rossview/14479893/ http://clarksvillenow.com/sports/short-handed-hawks-knocked-down-in-opener/ Whether or not that is an adequate punishment is a separate issue altogether, but here is the issue. Those players that were suspended for “two games†were on the sidelines during warm-ups and during the entire first half of the McGavock game. Our star QB was injured during the first half and it is obvious that being down as many points as we were to McGavock already with those players out and now with our QB hurt that we were going to lose the game, and probably pretty badly. My understanding from my son is that the decision was made to play those suspended players in the second half as a result of our QB being hurt. What is that teaching those kids? I can tell you that the message it sends to my son is that winning football games is more important than making good decisions and that your actions do not necessarily have consequences if you are a great player who can help your team come back. Having those kids back definitely helped us almost come back in the game against a very good McGavock team, but at what cost? Coach Lambert stated in one article: “I believe in discipline. I believe in doing things right and when guys don’t do the right thing their team and themselves have to suffer the consequences.†But he did not stick to his guns and I’m a little nervous about where that could lead down the road. Our kids were 9-2 a year ago and have a very talented team, but I just hope that we are doing the right things to show that doing the right things off of the field is important as well.
  20. We were one the best teams in 6A last year and now we are primed to be the best again next year. We beat Northwest, Northeast, CHS, West Creek, and everyone else on our schedule except Henry County. We will be a 6A powerhouse again next year and I cannot wait to see our boys get after it again. We have Charles and Isaiah coming back, both MAJOR Division I players, and now have another great RB in the Luke kid from Fort Campbell. I've heard about what you are talking about with some witch-hunt investigation opened up on us allegedly recruiting kids to come play for us. This is crazy. We will win all the games next year, I'm sure of it and now they want to open up an investigation on us. PUH-LEEZEEE. My son came home yesterday and said that all the talk around the school is that they might be in trouble and not get to play next year due to possible punishment from the TSSAA. This is BS and I'm tired of people trying to hold us down. We are Rossview and we will continue to dominate.
  21. You will lose to us and it is going to be ugly.
