  1. Barnes from Eagleville is a role player, not an MVP candidate. Role players are extremely valuable but their only trophies are the wins they get! Pierce is good but her team is stacked with really good players. I'm afraid the best player in the district will not win regular season MVP but I bet her team wins the tournament!
  2. I think Chapel Hill is prime to win. They have the best player in the district plus really good players around her. Also they have the best coach in the district. I think they are beginning to put it together so they should be ready for the district tournament!
  3. Putting the blame on youth now and expecting to lose? This isn't the Moore County I remember.
  4. From the games I have seen this year the refs have enforced the rules correctly. I have seen coaches out of control, parents out of control, and fans out of control. The TSSAA needs to step in!
  5. It sure is very easy to blame the refs. Did the refs get MC in their other L's? Seems like something else is may be going on
  6. What's going on with the MC coach and that team? He gets ejected and they are not winning like they normally do? Bad coaching? Bad playing? Not enough parent help?
  7. She is a good player but I think D-1 may be a stretch. More like small D2 or NAIA
  8. The issue on this post is not public vs private! First things should be first and that means 6 classes in basketball should be the focus!
  9. I think more could be done. Take a look at the proposal on the first page, it would be tremendously better.
  10. Don't some of the division II districts play each school only once? I wonder how that is going? Does anyone else do this?
  11. Please look at how Alabama reclassified with 7 divisions and compare that to how Tennessee does it. It only requires a bare minimal of common sense to understand how much that type of breakdown would benefit schools in Tennessee. http://highschoolsports.al.com/news/article/5400683244727820341/ahsaa-reclassification-by-the-numbers-where-your-school-fell-in-terms-of-enrollment-for-2014-16/#/0
  12. Most teams in rural areas have a good bit of travel anyways! At least they would be traveling to play schools close to the same size!
  13. Word around is that the NFHS was at the Alabama state tournament all week because they are so impressed with the format.
  14. The fact that the TSSAA creates 6 classes in football and 3 in everything else is absolutely pathetic. Our system is outdated and utterly embarrassing. When coaches/officials/fans from other states hear about this they can not believe how far in the past we are in Tennessee. It is the right time for the TSSAA to step up to the plate and fix the classification issue!
