Crockett wins easily in this one. If Crockett is smart, they would get Jones out as early as possible, forget about him scoring 6 and 7 touchdowns. The offensive line for Crockett can win this one with any of the other backs running the ball. The test is gonna come when they meet Trezevant defense. Johnny will need to be fresh and 100% for this physical defense they play. Winner of Trezevant/Crockett will be in the Championship game.

I like Coach Puckett's chances in this game. He will have Lake County ready to advance in the playoffs.

I've never seen a game won "on paper" yet. That's why they fuel the bus up, put on the pads and travel to the game and "PLAY FOOTBALL". Liberty got a little too cocky this time around. All of that preparing for the playoffs by playing MUS, Brentwood, etc..heck you could have played teams like Westview, Milan and oh yeah Dyersburg to get the experience. This was the team to make a State run but I not so sure about the next couple of years.

I guess i should have been more direct when I started this post. I need for Gerry Bertier or someone with true knowledge of how the playoff picture looks according to wins, losses and so forth by TSSAA standards. I don't want woulda, coulda, shoulda comments. Just the facts.

May be a little early, but what is the 3A playoff picture looking like?

Now everyone wants to blame the refs. I have always seen how the lowly inner city schools get a raw deal when playing. TSSAA refs overall are some of the worse and unprofessional, I have seen, especially, the crews in West Tennessee. I have been on the sideline in a playoff game and an official starts going off on the coach for no reason, before the game even started. Needless, to say the coach got no favorable calls till the game was safely out of reach. Most, don't know how to call a game without letting their feelings get involved. Unprofessional!!!!!

Hey Dyersburg fans and Haywood fans what are your thoughts?

Well, cousin Specialed is taking this season off but has given me all his facts and resources. JCM enter this year with heavy hearts after the death of a teammate. Alot of questions will have to be answered from the loss of the Maclin brothers(Bethel), Kris Todd(Mississippi State), Rodney Clark(Tennessee State), Devondre Williamson(Navy) just to name a few losses. Terrance Kinnie is back along with key returners, Austin Parker, Jacob Chandler, Juakeem Owens, Maleic Clark, Darius Phinnessee and others. The key will be the offensive line and can they protect Kinnie and open up holes for Travone French. Jalen Marshall and French were parts of a State Championship finish in track, 4x100. JCM will be fast and smart, it's just a question of youth and maturity early. Special teams will determine the outcome, as Breelan McKinnie took 2 kickoffs back for TDs for JCM last year. Dyersburg coming to The Rock, is a far cry from the friendly confines of Sawyer Stadium. Don't be surprised of a Green and Gold celebration at the end of the night.

I keep up with quite a few recruiting services and a keen eye on talent, but you are right, I haven't seen all of them. The key here is that I have seen HIM and I can't imagine anyone better in that class or position. Like I said though, this is just my opinion, everyone have their own.

This young man has been a dominant force for all of his youth football days. Always demanded double and sometimes triple teams. He was actually flagged once for hitting too hard(go figure). Mr. Gooden in my opinion is the best high school DE in the country for 2016. While competing in Turkey Day National Youth Football Championship in Atlanta, Ga. he was the talk of the tournament and because of his size and dominance, the coach had to show birth certificate numerous times(lol) MAN CHILD!!!!

Until the parents realize they don't control who play or when they play, it will forever be doomed. I watched McNairy over the years and wondered how a team with the size and speed they had with the Mood kid be so below average. Well after reading this I have my answer. If it doesn't change you will be Forever Miserable McNairy.

The question is, will the kids respect him. Sounds like he coached at a Christian school where it was already a great environment. Nothing against people at Fayette Ware because I know there are great student there but sometimes the bad apples ruin it for everyone. What I'm saying is, can he handle some of the kids that may not be "perfect" but are usually very gifted athletically. If he can get them to buy in, then the question is can he get quality assistants to help him. Yeah, its a total process and you must know how to handle an untapped abundance of talent walking their hallways. Good luck to the coach.
