  1. It may be? Who knows? Have you coached with him? Do you know this man publicly? All I've seen you do is bash him in here. Is it right the way he got this job? That's opinion. However, the fact remains he is the new head coach at Central. There is nothing that can be done about it. Let's be perfectly honest, there weren't too many big name coaches knocking down the door to come to Central? If they were, our committee shot them down for reasons unknown. Time will tell with Bloodsaw. He is not going anywhere. He has said this is his dream job. He has been in our community for 20+ years. We have to support him like we would any other coach. Just knowing he is going to be around for a while is a start.
  2. This will never happen. Central will continue to struggle and lose athletes. I am not a Ooltewah fan by any means. I despise them. Why would a kid want to come to Central when the coaching at Ooltewah is consistent and more individualized. Their coach came from college and continues to place players collegiately. We can't keep a coach? Our administration has continually hired coaches that don't want to stay. There have been coaches that have left for personal reasons that did good jobs, but others weren't here for the long haul. Central needs to take a step back and really reevaluate their athletic programs. This starts with Finley and the rest of the administration! What emphasis do they want to place on athletics? How important is it to the school/community? Until then, we will all continue to stay on here complaining about them. I really fear that Central is fixing to have some dark days in athletics overall. We have to start going out of our way to make the kids want to come to Central! This community is starving for success.
  3. Honestly, I am tired of these coaches coming in and selling these kids the world and leaving. I'm all for someone who wants to be there. Whose heart is in it. Who is invested in the community. No, his name may not be an upper echelon type name, but Gary Bloodsaw will not go anywhere. To heck with all them sorry committees that brought us "greatness". What can it possibly hurt? Really? Central has had only a handful of winning seasons since moving to 58! If Bloodsaw is indeed the new coach, I support it! At least I know he is gonna be there. He's not gonna quit on the boys!
  4. Mallory is a politician as well. It's a done deal. He has blatantly lied to them boys face. If Bloodsaw isn't your new head coach, hcde will have to pay him a lofty settlement payment! Happy Thanksgiving pounder nation.
  5. If that's the case, get it out there. The boys at least deserve that much! If he don't want to be at Central......so long! Do not put us in the situation we were in last year. Thank goodness for the talent we had this year. That's all I will say about that!
  6. Our thread. Don't need to hear from Ooltewah about anything. They had a great year. Go to your thread. Let us live in misery along with other Pounder fans. Still haven't seen anything in the papers about Mallory. Could it all be hearsay?
  7. Why is a Ooltewah guy always so invested in what's going on at Central? It really don't even concern you. We know what the situation is at Central. Yes, we know that we will probably have another coach. Same story, different season. Worry about Ooltewah and let us worry about Central! I guarantee you we dang sure don't worry about Ooltewah.
  8. Polk lost just about all their studs due to graduation. Sequatchie returns two good pitchers. Not much else behind them. DeKalb team lost a bit. Should be interesting. Central returns both pitchers and 7 starters. Bench will be very deep. They are strong, hit for power and have the speed to beat you in small ball. You are right though, should cruise through district play.
  9. This team will be a force to be recogned with this year. They have all the key assets to be in the Boro this year. Any insights?
  10. What does anybody know about this district? I know that Central will be real strong. They return 8 of 9 starters and bolster a strong pitching staff.
  11. Pretty sure it's tough. They need to schedule some for sures.
  12. Notre Dame better reap the rewards from playing in public division as a true private school! The public-private switch is coming and let's see how they do in their true division. Talk all you want about not recruiting. Everyone on here knows it's a line of crap. Not bitter at all. Just tired of the gloating and big heads. You are delusional if you think that you all could play with the big boys in D2.
  13. Lots and lots of discipline and running. That is where he will lose the players. He will run multiple sets(pro set, I, wish bone, doubles, trips, and heavy sets). That's what he ran at Brown. He will have trouble finding coaches that will truly help him. He will make sure it is known he is the head coach. He was at Brown for many years. He is one guy that will definitely stay. I still believe that he has way more football knowledge than Mallory. If it is already determined he is the man now, he will try to get the community behind the team.
  14. The way I understand it, it's a done deal. This lawsuit must hold some serious weight? Not sure how much approaching Rick Smith would help. We are not one of the power three schools in the hc school system( East Hamilton, Ooltewah or Signal Mtn). We are just lowly Central that can't keep a football coach even when we are successful!
  15. It's a fact. Bloodsaw will be your next coach. The lawsuit is real. They would have to pay him dearly if he were to be overlooked this time. I like our chances more so with him than Mallory!
  16. Bidbaddude, If you came to any games this year you would have seen what we are talking about. Obviously you must be Mowery or Brett Mashburn. This senior class is laced with talent. Lack of coaching by Mallory on several occasions showed this. He is a school teacher paid by our tax dollars. If he can't deal with the heat( obviously he couldn't) then the best thing to do is leave just like all his predecessors. It was flawed from the onset of his hiring. Many knew that, only few would say it. We just accepted it and went with it because we has no choice! It's pitiful that we keep hiring the tier of coaches that we have. Ultimately, the kids are the one who suffers year to year. I just hope the next guy stays. That would mean the world to these kids. heck, we win and can't keep a coach!
  17. Might as well be rec! That's the direction it's going. Several players have told me that Mallory is gone. It's out there.
  18. Stop the pissing contest. I don't care where the coach comes from, if he can coach that's all that matters. Central football is fixing to become cellar dwellers again.
  19. Bloodsaw coached that same group that played this year in 8th grade and won the county with them. I know that don't mean anything, but he has to know more than Mallory. I know he will work the stew out of the kids and will jot put up with any bs. You are right fish. He will have to be fired to leave Central. He is not going anywhere. Question is.....who is gonna coach with him? I heard rumor that he is bringing the Morgans back that coached JV two years ago?
  20. 58boy07 weren't you saying something the other day that you talked to people that said John Allen will be back next year? Wonder if that trumps Bloodsaw? Finley always liked Allen and said several times he would welcome him back.
  21. Bloodsaw will in fact be your next coach. Think about this.......yes he may have got the job by the lawsuit, but I guarantee you he knows more football than Mallory! This is just another kick in the balls to the kids up there. Carter will coach under him. He has coached under the last 5 coaches, so why not Bloodsaw? The one that may not will be Braswell.

  23. Malory is out. Bloodsaw will be the next coach for Central. Just announced on sports talk.
