  1. Cleveland now has one of the best recruiting coaches in the biz, he did a great job at West recruiting the local area, some of his star players live within miles of where they were suppose to go but West developed a class that no one else has or program to make it all look on the up, guess we will see if Cleveland can develop the same type of programs to open the boundaries for the rise to state championship status.
  2. Red and White game Monday looked pretty good, we were missing most of our line I think or at least two, we seemed to throw the ball way more then run but, our running game was terrible last year and I am not sure it will be much better this year, looked to have descent numbers. Thursday will be a chance to see what things really look like, coaching staff seems kind of thin.
  3. I was told they are going to be traveling to Florida, Ga, OH, TN, and some others, I was told they are working with the QB guy here in Knoxville.
  4. Clinton and SC QBs playing on the same 7 on 7 team, and some other area top level players are on the team as well.
  5. I agree I think UT could get to Atlanta next year, lets see SC will be down , Fla? although they sucked this year and still beat the Jones train, who else from the East, OH yea the Champ from the East for the past two years Mizzo, UT as a long way to go but, with all that four and five star talent they are on their way. Butch will need two mics to run that trap next year at practice to be able to exhale that ego of his but, other then that UT as a chance. Next year will start telling the story for real or just fantasy, my beat is allot more hype then function.
  6. UT way impressive with their wins over UTC, Kentucky, Vandy, as long as they can continue to play those teams I think they have a great chance of finishing in the top three of the SEC East every year, was outstanding in the bowl game playing those Hawkeyes, all though the big 10 is BACK so I guess we all can look at that win as BIG.
  7. if and butt's that's all TN fans have, still haven't beaten anyone significant so I guess you can continue with the ifs and butts, seems that Butchy having allot of kids leave his program, do some research you will see TN has more then any other school of new recruits, once the smoke clears kids see through the BS.
  8. GA and LSU had the best freshman running backs in the nation Hurd is ok but 122 yards against a team that was way over their head on speed isn't something to get to excited about.
  9. The man is either not certified to teach the subject or not certified to teach HS, there is a difference, get your facts straight, I spoke to someone very close to the situation yesterday and I posted from what he told me period. I was just trying to add to the conversation as in reality it makes a hill of beans to me who gets the job other then the Halls Powell rivalry, I do wish the best on the coach they get because the kids and community deserve way better then they have had.
  10. that is the rumor mill but the LA thing was pretty solid I think.
  11. the latest, LA out doesn't have a teaching cert, DC at SD out, just didn't fit leaves the Farragutt OC and Clinton OC, down to those two and that was the word at Hump's
  12. IDK I was told that its down to two guys, who knows HTV?
  13. 877 yards 6 tds 79.7 yards a game 74 of 155 9 ints
  14. The QBs dad was not retained to continue coaching at Central and from what has been said the Q quit the team and will be transferring to another school, I would say where ever daddy goes is where he will be. Have heard the back up is good though.
  15. Central HS will be working a new QB next year, according the latest.
  16. I have no idea, also the DC was wearing his SD gear and not Powell's so he could have very well been there to watch , just odd that he would be there with all the other stuff going on, I have no idea if any of it will work out that way but once you her something in the rumor mill and then hear it over and over from people working in the profession you start thinking there maybe some truth to it,
  17. I have been to almost every Halls BB game for the past four years and I have never seen the man there and yes I knew his kids goes to Halls because his son was playing football this year but had to take some time from it, HTV you aren't the only guy that knows people, not saying that to be mean but when the talk is going around between coaches and the talk is pretty strong then you start reading a little more into it then just being at a game. DC to Powell OC from Farragutt to SD to replace him OC stays at Clinton, I could be 1,000,000% wrong but that's the talk.
  18. Speculation? well the South Doyle DC was at the Halls Powell basket ball game Friday and a coach that coached with this guy told a coach at Halls that he is the guy, its his job to turn down, now HTV is the man so he may know but seems awful funny that a guy that is in the running would be at the schools BB game when he coaches some where else.
  19. Well here is a good article on the subject, this is the largest organization and if they see drops like this year after year it will take its toll, there is 100's of other organization as well and they all have seen numbers drop, according to my friend that travels and does camps all over the country says that just about every program where they do their camps the coaches talk about the drop in numbers, I went to a clinic that he done for youth coaches and one of the slides spoke about West Lake Carroll HS that as seen their freshman team go from having around 90 kids a year to less then 40,so when you say its a small drop you are wrong. Regardless what side anyone is on the sport is being attacked and having a passive attitude toward it will help the cause of the ones that want to see the sport go away. By the way this coach I am talking about has coached for almost 30 years and has done camps all over the country for 15 plus years so I trust the information he has shown our group because he always has reference material, which I have been sharing on here. http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/page/popwarner/pop-warner-youth-football-participation-drops-nfl-concussion-crisis-seen-causal-factor
  20. I never said there wasn't an issue and your comparison is not even close, you have a group of people that would love nothing more then to see football pass away and using an issue that has proven to be a hot topic to get their way is what I am talking about, listen there has been thousands of football players play the game and if you listen to the roar of the defragment beast you would think we would have a bunch of zombies walking around that have no reason in life and that's just not the case, how many players have been paralyzed, how many have had career ending injuries? the issue is these people are using this issue to destroy a game not make it better, youth leagues, middle schools and high schools are seeing big drops in their numbers, some of it is due to the scare statistics and some has to do with other sports and some just has to do with kids being pure lazy, MY POINT IS MAKE THE SPORT SAFER, stop using the issue to destroy it. We can go back and fourth all day and everyone will see it their way, all I am saying take a little time and find out the facts before saying because this pro guy or that nero guy said something; if you like the sport , care about the sport then find out the facts before worrying about a bunch of guys that made great money, blew it and now want to help destroy its integrity for their benefit, talk about double dipping.
  21. you are right there is an issue and it needs to be dealt with in a manner that helps promote the sport not destroy it.
  22. Its not being cautious, its making sure they prove their point for their piece of the $800 million, no bigger statement then not allowing your son play to prove your point, I will post a report about the study that was done on the 400 plus plaintiff's in this case over 80% of the guys that have jumped on board are broke, 80% some of the players that are on the list played very short period of time in NFL but are set to get around 200k a year for life, again look at the facts, I have posted some reference materials, I can list a bunch more, there is 3xs as much material on the based facts and not speculation like the recent OSU player that committed suicide, that's sad but how can anyone relate it to concussions why, because it fits an agenda.
  23. Listen allot of ex players have spent everything they had, another words they are going to jump on that band wagon as the litigation over this issue is huge not to mention these guys are now nobody's in consideration of where they once were, so staying in the spot light and piling on that $800 million stock pile one can rest assured allot of these guys are going to have scrambled eggs, funny thing was you never heard them complaining when they had it all, don't get me wrong but the agenda of why these guys have their issues is as much about money as it is anything. if a person as a full fledge concussion they would have trouble performing at the level that some of these guys claim, they say they had head injuries but kept on playing in games, well every person that I have seen get a concussion can't hardly perform at a high level.
