The year after Catholic won state they had a huge chip on their shoulder, they got moved into the same district with Maryville and Catholic fans said bring them on, after a couple years playing in that league they begged out, Catholic is a very well recuited 4A team but they are not the best team in the state, Funny is that Maryville been in every state championship since 2000 EXCEPT 2003 and have repeatly had undefeated seasons and a team comes along has a couple good years and they are all of a sudden the best team in the state, just fans supporting their teams but reality is what it is, if Catholic so good step up and play Maryville next year, oh wait everyone will say Catholic has allot of seniors, point made maryville has seniors every year and they are back the very next season....when Catholic, Fulton Whitehaven, Oakland and any others you care to add play every year for state then maybe you can call them the best in the state, by the way I'M NOT A MARYVILLE FAN

Bearden played two of the wrost teams in knox county to start the season out which made them look allot better than they are made it easy to run the scores up, Bearden will lose Thursdsy night for sure.

Catholic tried to play with the big boys once it didn't workout to well, Heritage even beat them that year and that was a year after state championship with most of the starters back, Begged to get off Maryville schedule.

Until Karns gets rid of any and all legacy coaches the program will never grow, Karns likes to let the players run the team rather than the coaches, for a program that's been so bad for so long the community certainly expect allot, if a new coach would come in and clean house and get coaches that hold kids accountable they could win there and be a very good program.

The RED DEVILS, what a great season for these young men and their coaching staff, it's good to see hard work payoff, tough game next week and maybe a wild scoring game, SS thanks for the shout out.

Some great players but more about popularity then just football,

That's one of the best recruited programs in the state up there, plus they did much as Webb does here they play some teams that they really have no chance to beat, which does make them better but then they that is Indiana HS football not the guy bed for HS football but really TN isn't either in comparison to FL,TX, CA, and before anyone wants to jump on me about the statement I'm merely talking in comparison.

I put 7 and 3 teams because some of those records are from playing those best 5 and 5 teams, the bottom line teams win they lose but, in our thinking we have to make the losing team feel like they are way better then their record, sometimes you don't have the right players, sometimes it's the coaches, BUT, IT'S NEVER THE PARENTS FAULT WHO tells their kid and other kids on the team that their coaches are stupid don't know how to coach, funny thing is if all these parents are so good at it then sign up and do it, high school football is begging for good coaching, then we could eliminate a team from being the best 5 and 5 team and the coaches not using talent jargen ... IMO good teams are more then just good players but, that's a whole other rant, my point on the best losing team is just this, if you are losing games be it one, two, four, five or whatever and you are saying your the best team with however many losses, in essence you are saying hey we are the best losers, get a grip and start telling your kids facts, that team was better, maybe their kids worked harder, maybe they had breaks, either way just stop with the feel good BS and insprie kids to strive to be the best not just the best they can be but the best as a team and if they end up 5 and 5 make it painful not enjoyable by saying you are the best 5 and 5 team out there.

The best what? It's funny how teams that can't win talk about being the best with the record they have, a team that's 5 and 5 is so because they were beat by another team and for that given game the other team was better, just say what it is, our team won five games where they were better and they lost five because the other team was, there is no best 5 and 5 you may as well say, if we graded out team for losing we are the best five game LOSER, it just another way to gather acceptance for losing, it's just like allowing all 6A teams playoff births, it is testing the water to gather acceptance to move all classes in that direction, yes it's a money thing and its also the good ole every one should be rewarded, mark it down all classes will make playoffs in the near future, if TSSAA Durant implement them some parents that feel they have the best 5 and 5 team will file a law suit to get equal rights for their best 5 and 5 team.

The new coach at Central has improved the team by getting rid of the trouble makers but, Central hasn't played anyone but MW which they lost to and they did beat Catholic at about 75%, it's funny how a team beats a few bad teams and they think they are a good team, hey they can beat the bad teams so that does make them better then the bad but, to think a good record against bad teams makes you good you are mistaken, Central is benefiting from a good senior upper class man team this year, once these guys are gone you will find out real quick what the team is,ie, south Doyle, last year they were good because of the players, good programs win year after year regardless of class. Central is good as long as they keep playing union county, a bad Powell team, a bad South Doyle team and so on, until they beat a MW team or a Fulton they are average at best.

How many games have you seen Halls play,? Please look at us as not having speed, Karns has way more athletes then Heritage and halls done just fine, I've been at every game this year and I have to say these coaches have the players playing very well within their abilities, I know we may not have their HC but our guy is doing fine, regardless it looked like Heritage couldn't stop the pass last night and we can throw it just a bit.

Heritage does seen to be playing better but they are playing in a very very bad league, yes they gave West a game but probably 10 out of 10 seven or eight of those games would be blow outs, assuming heritage beats halls is basically like saying being the best of wurst makes you good, West will get blown out this week and show they are not an elite team this year, heritage will make the play offs as will my Red Devil's and both will exit the playoffs quickly, Halls nor Heritage has beaten anyone that resembles a good football team, wish the best for both.

That's the best thing to do blame the ref so the blame can be his fault, wouldn't want any kid to be held accountable, it's like the player in California that guy the other teams player with helmet and the mom went on national TV and said it was an accident,

I am sure the kid didn't mean to do that there is just no way he meant it, there should be no n punishment as it wasn't his fault, he was just playing hard and the ref got in the way, I think TSSAA should consider giving him the MrFootball award for such hard playing.... High school football use to have intigerty and coaches actually held kids accountable, suspension for a game WOW wouldn't want the kid to feel bad about it, let's just keep giving in to ignorance and allowing the sport to lose more and more respect as it has gotten out of control,

Bearden hasn't played a team that is very good and the one that they did play they lost to, beating Karns is like lining up against your JV, SD is playing so many young guys it's like playing a freshman team, win tonight and I think you have something to say the program has improved, get slammed and to me it's much the same with a few bright spots, hey glad for the guys, trust me I feel the pain every Friday night out here at halls.

Catholic aren't going to post much unless they are winning and that's just not happening for them right now, allot of talent on that catholic team.

Halls has some talent this year young but talented, QB starting his second year at the controls, they will miss the Jones kid but if they can build off last years success Halls may just win a few more games this year, maybe even playoff possibilities.

lots of issues I heard.

Halls has some good young talent, the QB is starting for his second year and the rec core looks pretty good, it will interesting to see which one of the Halls team shows up, if the team that got three wins last year shows then we may start the season with a nice win, if the team that played Clinton in the season finally shows up then the Hornets will have a happy ride back out Strawberry plains. Good luck to both teams but I hope my Devils can get it done

lots of timing issues for sure ones didn't play that much but when they did it was a little sloppy on the offensive side, the D looked good but Cherokee didn't look to be very offensively polished their line was bad, we looked like we had some athletes out there but just not linking up I think the summer will help those areas and the Devils should be somewhat improved over last year, it will be interesting to see how much we throw as the run game looked to be about the same as last year.
