Now lets be serious, Halls is improving but they have three very good teams coming up, I would like to think the boys will play hard but, hey we have won three games and that's better then it has been the last couple years and we beat our biggest Rival, I would like to see us win a couple more.

you know there has been Halls teams that would have lost to Powell last night, we still have away to go but we are certainly not going in the direction of Powell, the Powell coach should be replaced today after doing what he done to those kids last night, it is the worst disrespect I have seen to freshman players.

Great job Devils, I felt really bad for those kids that had to stand behind the fence that was for sure the lowest thing I have ever seen a coach do to his freshman, I have watched Halls for a long time and I can't remember when we threw the ball this much, the QB looked sharp at times and had a few bad ones and the receivers have been playing very good as well, maybe something to look forward to with this team being so young,

den, lets not get ahead of our self here, we are getting better for sure but, this team as to be ready to play a whole game, if we get Powell it will be a great win then it will be time to move on to the next one, I hope we roll but just to play a complete game and win will be good for me.

From what the talk is I hope you guys get a new coach if things are true, seems to be since he ran off the radio guy and then turning a once very good program into a team that is struggling as such, best of luck to the Panthers and its great we are on TV to show the great rival these teams are.

Seen the South Q here in Knoxville at the Red Devil field working one afternoon with a bunch of talent, that kid looked to be a D1 prospect all the way, he was by far the best Q there that day and I think there were nine others from all over the state. he is pretty good.

Karns can score but Oak Ridge has some good players on D, Karns has some good players but I think their coaching doesn't know what to do with it, they have this number 32 who took one 80 yards on us and I don't think he ran it again or ran it so little it was not noticeable, they run their Q a lot and he took a beating Friday night and from what I seen they just never used their players in away to test anyone, I'm with you SS hope they get one soon as time is running out but, I don't think it will be this week...

Our passing game has improved to a level that we seem to be a passing team, a ways to go but, it is moving in the right direction, I think this will be a good game and if our QB and receivers have another good night it could be very good for the Devils....Thanks for all the support!

Well my Devils played well through a couple Karns scoring drives and then a down pour to come back and win by two touchdowns, big game this week, hope we play well on TV and get some respect.

No dig toward any coaches just the facts, and the facts were the kid was caught on tape, called or not it has to be dealt with, with just a bit more emphasis on doing the right thing, I don't care were the incident took place at which program, coaches are worried way more about winning then doing their job, its high school football for god sake, set an example for the kids and show them you are going to do the right thing... Oh yea what about the fire works miss firing and hitting some of our players, coaches and refs, a ref told a mother that they would contact TSSAA about the incident, fireworks in the end zone great over a teams head behind their back a little extreme for the hype machine, oh well I am sure CC will say fire works miss fire every where it shouldn't effect us, just like our defensive kicker play, fouls happen everywhere just cause ours was caught on tape shouldn't mean anything...

Well another Saturday morning waking up on the losing end of a Friday night game, we came out throw an interception on the second play which set the tone for the night, then we proceeded to execute the worst play that I have ever witness as a fan of high school football, our up guy on the punt retreats back and gets a real good kick in the a_ _, it was absolutely the funniest/worse thing I have seen on the football field... Lets face it we are better then last year but in reality that doesn't mean anything if your going to run the same five plays every week, our special teams looked like a middle school team trying to cover, to be honest I was fired up about the season but it looks like much the same from our once proud football program... Now for the saddest part of all, I was blown away that the CC coaches made the grand jester of setting their great player and disciplining him for his intended field goal body kick, oh wait he sit a total of about two minutes, tells you allot about the coaches , the community and what they think a win is worth, now to be honest I doubt we do any better against CC but, you would like to see coaches just ONCE hold a kid accountable for being selfish and displaying such an act on the field. I know all the CC folks will say well he didn't start but come on are you serious, just goes to shows you it takes more then wins to have a CLASS program but each to their own, cause as I see it we can't get out of our own way to compete at a level to win ball games, we had a chance to tie the game up on a wide open pass play and the QB throws it in the ground which would have tied it at 7 but, again once you have a past coach DESTROY your program because of his selfish EGO and drive players away and your numbers are down this is what you get, then we just continue to look foolish at times and it all adds up to a very bad football team at times. On the positive side the passing game looks to be much improved, defense plays hard until they run out of gas, maybe Knox county can do some redistricting and help my poor old Red Devils out of the pits. Congrats to CC on their big win, hope you feel pretty good about the great example your coaches set for your kids and showing them the minimal amount of punishment for such acts in a game that once had discipline as a pillar of its boundary's, and we wonder why we hear about all these issues with upper level players, it starts at the high school level with direction as was shown up there in CC Friday night, great contribution coaches, keep up the good work...

Don't know the kids name but 24 should be out for his dirty play but, I am sure there is a reason to look past it and just let it go, I expect us to play well but, CC just to good for us to beat.

RidgeKat, thanks for the compliment, I feel our team is just a couple players away from being ok, now that doesn't mean district champs but, more so a team that goes out on Friday nights and competes with a chances to beat anyone they play within the district, I think with a program like ours that would be the first step, with all that being laid out I think those couple players are on the team but young, we are playing with a bunch of young guys that are growing up quick, I just hope we compete Friday night and show more improvements...

Halls shot its self in the foot Friday night as usual, we could have went in up a couple scores before half as we had the ball on the 2 first and goal and then the QB has two very bad plays that were UGLY, I mean he fumbles a snap that hits him square in the hands we get it back then on a roll out he tries to do his best impression of Eric Ainge, never mind the play call, yes halls as been at the bottom for a few years, yes we play like we have no clue where the end zone is, yes we lose games but, this team is much improved over last year and if and I did say if we can put together a full game then we may just slip up on some teams and win one we shouldn't, CC has for sure improved and Halls would be honored to be co champs of the district but, allot of us would just be happy to win a few games. I guess I must have been asleep when the Middleton kid was playing that unreal dominate game, he was going against a freshman guess his 5 sacks and 15 tackles and 20 catches made him look real good, oh yea none of that happen I guess wins come cheap at oak ridge, hire a coach back with checked past, turn in your rival for a transfer, and then turn around and do the same thing with the dominate move in player, my dad always has told me winning isn't everything but it is important to some, oh yea you guys did win but playing deep in playoffs is not in your cards... instead of making excuses for the first half why not give a little credit to a halls team that played you pretty well in the first half, tells you how much respect I have for your team we were down 14 and I thought we played well but after seeing these post I see arrogance is just part of your deal, your big number 5 was shut down most of the night due to great play from my boy JT guess that would be to much for you ridger's to admit...

Halls is much improved from last year but, still not at the caliber of an Oak Ridge and for sure not with five starters out, I am sure if you took five starters from any program it would effect the teams play, Halls will go down in this one with out much of a fight, look for the clock to be running in the second half, SS don't judge our play to badlly as we are trying to get some traction and win a couple more which would be a great improvement over last year.

I think the best thing to do is just forget about the rules because every time something doesn't go our way we blame everyone and everything else. The facts are what they are, I believe if the Woods kid isn't eligible then maybe the Middleton kid shouldn't be either with all his issues at Powell that he had. The bottom line is LC as any schools as an obligation to hold kids accountable and only LC and the Woods family knows the facts. Let’s just change all the rules to say, do as you please do as you want and if we ever disagree there maybe circumstance that you have to deal with so that way kids can do whatever and still be rewarded. Anyone with a common sense thread knows the kid moved because of issues with either the team or school otherwise he would have stayed and played because coaches and others always made sure the kid had a way to practice and anything else he needed as I watched it with my own eyes. I guess it makes no difference that the kid told team mates if Ortiz got the job that he was leaving. I can assure if the kid was just another player with average athletic ability this forum, Clinton or anyone else would CARELESS and that’s the real travesty in the sport of high school football…

I noticed we have some new coaches, does anyone know anything about them?

I see what your saying but OS was big and played hard, I'm pretty sure OS has been to the playoffs allot more then we have over the last few years, I think it wasn't about winning a scrimmage, the team looked much better in how they were playing the hustle that was going on and how excited all the players were the whole time, as far as I know scrimmages don't get listed in the win, loss column, OS was a good team they had some good players and overall the scrimmage was pretty good.

Halls scored 6 and OS scored once,Halls scored on every position and only had one negative play the whole scrimmage on offense, my cousin plays receiver and is fired up about the season.

Things looked better in Red Devil land this spring, may win a couple this year, maybe??? anyone else see the scrimmage Friday?
