Congrats to Cleveland Middle for the big win, but Rhea County has 3 middle school football teams that feed into the high school.

We are close on the winners but I think Page and Marshall Co scores will be closer. I originally had picked Lincoln Co over Giles but it could go either way. Best of luck to all Region 4 teams this week it's our week to shine!!! And Swarm good luck with Waverly!!

Dang Swarm. I had to go back 13 pages to find my prediction for the Lipscomb/Page game! If they ever finish that game I still maybe right! When you're as old as me you can't remember one week to the next. Good luck to the Yellow Jackets this week!

Giles is better but Spring Hill is much improved and Page has the beef up front to hold on to 2nd place in the Region.

You are right BooWho; I shouldn't have implied that Page going 0-3 with a new administration maybe looking for a new coach; but the rumor of them moving to 5 A football is the real rumor. I believe they have been in the playoffs for several years in a row so I would think all things are good in Rudderville. Thanks for reading and good luck to the Raiders this year.

A couple of things I hope for Region 4 this year: 1. More success in the first round against Region 3. 2. That all supporters of high school football stay positive for their teams and make comments that support their teams and coaches. Being a high school coach is hard enough doing all the things they have to do during the school day and then working with 50 - 60 teenagers for 20 plus hours a week; whether they win or lose we don't need to put the blame on them and criticize the coaches or players. High School coaches don't make enough money to used a public forum like Coacht to talk about them in a negative way. I love high school football; I think it is the one sport at the high school level that builds teamwork and teaches the hard lessons of real life that they will need one day to raise a family and pay bills in the real world. Go Region 4 4A have great and injury free 2016!!! The Big Tuna!

After 2 weeks I think it is safe to say the top 4 teams in the Region are: 1. Marshall 2. Spring Hill 2. Giles 4. Page The only close game this week will be Spring Hill at Page; Page may give them a good game but right now I'm saying Spring Hill by 2 touchdowns.

According to the Cleveland newspaper; Cleveland has over 1600 kids this year if so then it is probably bigger than Walker Valley.

The Big Tuna is already hearing lots of rumors coming out of Region 4! 1. Marshall County maybe looking for a new coach next year if the Tigers make it back to the semifinals this year several 6 A schools will come calling looking for a coach. 2. With Giles back in the mix expect more transfers from the North. 3. Page numbers are going up maybe moving to 5 A next year with that and a new administration I wouldn't want to start this year out 0-3. 4. Spring Hill, Tullahoma, and Lawrence County no rumors are good news for those schools.

Boowho; why are you picking against Region 4? I heard just 2 days ago that the new tailback for Page is the real deal (Bigger and Faster) than last years TB. Most of the OL are back bigger and stronger, with the new QB they will lean on the running game. If opposing teams don't have the ball its hard to score!! Go all Region 4 4A teams in the non-region games.
