  1. Your right, they did lose some good players from last year's team and I hope a team from Region 4 gets a chance to play them in the semifinals again this year. If that happens trust me I am cheering for Region 4. Now to the part about the Big Tuna being crazy; even Alabama gets beat sometimes while winning a National Championship so I know on any given Friday night a high school team can get beat, saying that I haven't even looked at Catholic's schedule but I will buy you a hot dog and coke if Knox Catholic loses 4 games this year. Best of luck to all the teams in Region 4 4A (WT)
  2. News Bulletin: Knox Catholic is in East and they are the 4 A State Champs; 54-35 last year's score in the semifinals will be worst this year. The Big Tuna is wishing all Public Schools the best of luck against the Irish but I don't know if Maryville could beat them this year. They averaged 43 points a game in the playoff's last year and they have everybody back. Go Region 4 but the teams in Region 2 has owned the playoffs for the last 4 years.
  3. Most all schools in Williamson and Rutherford counties numbers are going up! Independence and Summit maybe 6A and Page could be over 1100 this year if so that could put them up to 5A: Fairview is growing so they may move up to 4 A. All Rutherford schools will be 6 A except Eagleville. No one will know until the state numbers are turned in; but it is fun talking about it and making our own predictions.
  4. I heard Tullahoma scrimmaged a 5A school from east Tennessee yesterday does anyone know what happened?
  5. Thanks for the update; I heard that Page scrimmage Richland; somebody please give us an update on all scrimmages in Region 4 4A.
  6. Oh No!! Somebody is about to get a butt whipping!!
  7. The Big Tuna is a little disturb with all the acquisitions that there is illegal fishing going on in the off season. Seems to me everyone should just be working on getting the boat ready for the up and coming season.
  8. I am now thinking i will be fishing in deeper water this year; sometimes the Big Tuna move to other locations and you have to gas up the boat and go where the Blue Fins are. Having said that Tullahoma will end up on the bottom of the Region this year but will surprise someone with a win. 1-9 for the young Wildcats. Please list any scrimmages for the first week for Region 4 4A. Don't forget Monday Night Wicked Tuna Outer Banks on NGC!!!!
  9. BooWho, when fishing for the Big Tuna if you catch a shorty (under 73 inches long) you have to release the Blue Fin for another year of growing bigger, faster, and stronger. That being said I am sure the young talent has put in the hard work in the off season, but are they going to be strong enough for 4A football. Side note for all fishermen out there the new season of Wicked Tuna Outer Banks starts next Monday at 8pm central time on NGC.
  10. I talked to an old fisherman that knows his fishing and he says the Tullahoma Wildcats are looking pretty good in the 7 on 7 passing tournaments. Best of luck to Coach Olive and the Wildcats; I hope they get back to winning. Rumors are flying that the Patriots maybe getting too big for 4 A football; the school is growing and the recruiting is paying off in the number of kids out for football. I also hear that they are trying to settle in on a QB but the new kid from Summit may have to sit out a year. Spring Hill ( as Forrest Gump would say) is like a box of chocolates you never know what you are going to get. They could content for 2nd or might be at the bottom of the Region.
  11. 1. Marshall - not even close; no one in the region will be within 2 touchdowns 2. Spring Hill - new staff and energy 3. Giles - no one works harder in the off season than Coach Conner; could be #2 TIE AT # 4 4. Lawrence Co - hard working team and coaches 4. Page - lost all skill players but they have done a good job recruiting; line play should be good 4. Tullahoma - will be better but needs more time Looking forward to the season; best of luck to all teams and stay healthy!!!!!!
  12. The word on the boats that fish for the Big Tuna is that Centennial has caught its Fish! Again this could be just another fishing story.
  13. Hey Hogan in what area did I miss the Big Tuna's money Facts? The numbers I posted are not for new teachers and coaches. It is only for Teacher's who have more than 22 years of experience at the Masters level. Maybe Hogandoesn'tknow
  14. Money Facts about teaching and coaching football in Williamson County! After much research and talking with coaches in Williamson County, the Big Tuna has caught the Facts. Masters Degree 22 years experience teachers make $70,008 Head Football with more than 15 years of experience $10,395 Head Football can also get a % of the strength supplement $8561 If Head Football was also named the AD $10,000 Now the hard part in Williamson County is that they do require coaches to teach but if you were lucky enough to get a PE position that would be lessen the load. I don't know of any public schools in the area that pay that kind of money. Private Schools is a different story! With that being the Facts, i don't think Ravenwood or Centennial will have a hard time getting coaches.
  15. dadx5, I did go fishing a little early but I know the Giles faithful are excited about OC coming back and I really enjoy reading the conversations that take place on coacht from Region 4. Good luck to all teams in the off season!! Everyone is undefeated until August 18th 10 pm.
  16. Since Giles County has named a new coach is it too early to make predictions for Region 4 in 2016!! The Big Tuna will keep a close eye on this Region. 1. Marshall Co 2. Page 3. Giles Co 4. Spring Hill 5. Tullahoma 6. Lawrence Co
  17. This time of the year the water is really choppy and fishing is rough on the Big Tuna so you have to spend long hours on the water in hopes of landing a Blue Fin. Staying the course and knowing what type of bait to use is key to coming back to the dock with a prize Tuna. That being said best of luck to both teams tonight and in the playoffs; stay healthy; and maybe you will play again in 3 weeks. P.S. For all you Saturday morning Quarterbacks; whatever the outcome is tonight just be positive to your team and coaches. The second season starts next week and both teams need your support to represent Region 4 AAAA at the highest level.
  18. Looks like Region 4 AAAA is set: 1. Winner of Marshall County and Page 2. Loser of Marshall County and Page 3. Lawrence County 4. Giles County assuming they beat a Tullahoma team who hasn't won a game. Good luck to Region 4 teams in the playoffs!! Make us all proud. Match ups for the 1st Round: Winner of Marshall County and Page will host Cumberland County Loser of Marshall County and Page will host East Hamilton Lawrence County will travel to Livingston Academy Giles County will travel to Stone Memorial
  19. Don't be hard on Spotlight he has been with me; out in the Atlantic the past 8 days fishing for Blue Fin Tuna.
  20. Not so fast smpanthers; if Hixson upsets LA at home and that could happen ; and EH beats Stone then it will be EH 1, SM 2, LA 3
  21. Also if Lawrence and Spring Hill both win this Friday then that would put Spring Hill at 3 and Lawrence at 4 assuming Spring Hill beats Lawrence next Friday.
  22. Do they count teams with a 5-5 record as a winning record? Spring Hill has only played one team with a winning record outside the Region. Lawrence County has played 2 teams and Giles has played 3 teams that would make Giles number 3 and if Spring Hill does beat Lawrence then they would be 4.
  23. The Big Tuna needs help in breaking up a tie; if Lawrence County loses to Lewis County and Spring Hill; Giles County beats Signal Mountain and Tullahoma; and Spring Hill loses to Lipscomb then beats Lawrence County: you have 3 teams at 3-7, 2-3 in the Region how do you decide who is 3rd place in the Region; I know 4th will be decided by head to head after the 3rd place team is picked. Thanks I need to get back to fishing this is confusing the Big Tuna!
  24. The coaching staff has been doing a great job of keeping the players focus on each week's game, but I would bet you the coaches are trying to get as much film on Page and getting an early plan together for the Region 4 AAAA championship game next Friday. I remember the time I thought I caught a 500 lb Tuna but when I got it to my boat it was a Hammer Head Shark, so after fighting the Shark for 48 minutes I had to cut it loose. Moral of the story is even though it is not a region game you need to fight for 48 minutes.
  25. My fishing buddy out of Rudderville; tells me the Patriots are using flexible poles and a weak line while fishing in deep water for the Big Tuna. This is not a good combination! I also heard that several of the Patriots are limping around in practice this week; but looking at the schedule of both teams it would appear that the Patriots would set the anchor on solid ground at home. The unknown is the new coach at Giles; he was able to circle the wagon against SH and this gives the Bobcats a lot of Momentum going forward. I will let all the experts on coacht make the prediction of who's winning but when it comes to catching the Big Tuna no one knows more about that topic than Hard Merchandise!
