  1. Your right, I don't coach. So I can only go by the numbers. Since 2005 his winning percentage is barely over .500 and he has only won 2 playoff games in past 10 years. Seems to me several coaches have figured out his offense.
  2. I have heard that. Seq best class are upcoming juniors. Like I have said before, I don't think seq can afford to hire a coach who hasn't proven he can win with our type players. I heard Ricky Rice has applied. If you can't get Fritts, in my opinion Rice should be your man.
  3. Sequatchie County is a complete mess right now.
  4. Didn't realize they allowed internet time at the crazy farm Ambassador? You need a breakdown of Ricky Woods career coaching record?
  5. IMO that was not a great Trousdale team. Way too many injuries. #5 was a big time player but even he was not 100%. Their line was very average. If Peabody beats Adamsville then they will have the "Ricky Woods" factor. Not many coaches anywhere with his credentials.
  6. I believe Marion wins Friday but I think the champion comes out of the west.
  7. I assure you that you have not seen a RB like Blake Zeman this season.
  8. IMO the best hire would be Mccurry. I was told he has never had a losing record and never taken over a team that had a winning record the year before. He lives in Franklin County according to people on here. I guess it just matter how bad Franklin wants to win.
  9. I have been sitting here at work and thought I would crunch a few numbers. Based on coAcht schedule and scores Marion averaged 38 a game last season and gave. up 14 a game on D. This year Marion is averaging 43 and giving up 12 a game. So yes the numbers speak for themselves but I also believe Marion schedule was weaker this year based on most teams being about even with last years except for Sequatchie and South Pittsburg who were obviously worse. So is Marion really better than last year? Maybe, who knows. It helps 21 has shined this year and correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't he out most season last year? I know he didn't play against Sequatchie. The X factor here is Trousdale injuries. I would take a healthy Trousdale by 14, but in this case I will go with Marion by 10. I just hope it's a good game. I may spend my $8 and see for myself. Good luck to both teams.
  10. If we had hired Brandon Johnson when the principal decided to hire his buddy Ken then we might not be in this shape. Very energetic guy with good background of working for good coaches. Loves this area.
  11. Very good point here. People around here act like football is important but the Adminstration ties the coaches hands. Trousdale is a top notch program.
  12. I'm not saying hire those guys. You missed my whole point. I said those guys were hometown or guys with ties that have gotten it done and ran very successful programs.
  13. Problem with not getting someone with ties or hometown guy is that whoever comes will not be in Sequatchie long. It will just be a launching pad for bigger and better paying jobs. So what you get by getting a young guy with no ties is one of two things. 1- someone looking to boost their careers. 2- someone who is just not a very good coach. This county needs a program coach. One who knows how to win and one who is going nowhere. Needs to have hands on with the middle school and youth programs. Set up a system that is run for many years. The examples you give are frankly because those are good guys but not great coaches. How about Davis at Polk? How about Rice at Wayne County, how about Creasy at Trousdale? How about Grider at South Pitt? Those are hometown guys who have all been very successful doing it just like I said.
  14. This won't be a coach the majority want. It will be someone the administration wants and if that's the case it will once again be a failure.
  15. So let me get this right... You think Ross is a better coach than Creasey?
  16. I see Marion winning but you must be hitting the hard stuff tonight to think it will be by 35.
  17. No disrespect to Jackson County. They have definitely improved but this won't be close.
  18. No way. He can't win in Sequatchie. Won't be able to recruit. Sequatchie don't have "sister" schools or classes which allow them to be granted hardships to attend. They play with what they have grown and developed.
