We should be able to schedule 3 nondistrict games next year. I sat for sure Milan and McKenzie. The third game should be either Camden or possibly union city

No sir you have me mistaken as well. Haven't had a kid play in a while. Last time I had a family member to cheer for was about 5 year's ago and that was my nephew. I just hope these seniors don't get on here and see what Kermit and stangfan have been posting. They would rather get on here and boast about players that haven't proved anything yet. Instead they want to talk about players who they think should be out there. They must have been the ones who coached their kids in that little youth league and are upset now that they are no longer in charge. My 18 month old and my 3 year old grandsons could have ran on Gleason and milans team in the 4th quarter when they had the kids in the band playing defense. Seniors if y'all do get on here pay them no attention they have about as much football knowledge as my coon hunting dog. I hope by next year they read read up on some football books and gain a bit of knowledge.

I have bit my tounge over the past week after reading your post. Is it to much to ask to show some respect to the seniors? If the Pearson kid was as good ad you make him out to be he would have been out there this year. He has an extremely bright future and I look forward to seeing the great things he will accomplish in the next few years but your spitting in the players face with your comments. Its obvious that you never played football and are not a true mustang fan. Learn some respect and football knowledge before you post next season

At the end of the season there is only a handful of teams satisfied. I want to take this time to thank the seniors for their dedication over the past 4 year's. Being a mustang will always help them in their future. I know this what the outcome we were all gunning for but this is how the cards fell. Tonight is going to be difficult. I still remember the night my football career wad ended some 35 plus years ago. Keep your heads high and always show your mustang pride and I promise you will be able to accomplish what you wish. A New chapter is about to start for them and if they attack life the way they played football they will be successful. Still proud to be a mustang

I Will never talk negative about players ability or lack of abilities but I will say something when the effort and heart is not there. These last 2 weeks I have not seen any effort or heart out of the team

I strapped up and played for Coach Ward so let me tell you this I knew what heart was, and this team doesn't have it. Everyone on the team is selfish and doesn't want other players to be successful. And you must be crazy if you think they practice for 4 hours a day. Back when you was in the band y'all might have practiced for 4 hours a day but high school football teams don't

If you were at the game like I was we all saw first hand that we can't pass. Its not that we can't throw its that are backs couldn't catch a cold. Its not ideal to run on 3rd and 16 but you have to when there is no one on the team that can catch.

Just another week of the same old same old. I guess it's time to put the 8th graders in. Because our Senior junior sophomore and freshmen players can't get it done. I don't wanna hear about this young guy and that young guy. Its embarrassing to watch this team. Don't think it's the coaches fault either. You can't coach effort and the team lacks effort. I have yet to see a single player with heart. The teams student section has more heart about the game than the team

I couldn't agree with you more. I'm not saying our young backs don't have talent because I watched them some in middle school. My point is I think the older backs give us the best chance to win. That's just my opinion. If these young backs were ready for the challenge I think Swenson would have them out there.

Does Eric Swenson make mistakes? Absolutely but guess what so does Nick saban and Bill billichick. If these young backs were as dominant as you make them out to be Swenson would be running them nonstop. Obviously since he is not he like me doesn't think they are ready. This is big boy football now not daddy football like they grew up playing

My views are unbiased because I don't have a kid out there anymore. Grandson still has a while before he gets to suit up. You seem like one of the young backs is your son. Like I said before these youngs backs are not ready. If they are ready then why did they constantly keep getting beat deep??

Have been tired up with work lately,and have not had much time to get on here. I have to say that game last week was probably the most embarrassing game I have seen the Mustangs play in 10 plus years. I think we all learned that we are not as good as some think. We have a lot of young talent,but I think we all saw first hand that they are not ready for the spotlight that some may think. I hope that the team actually shows up this week because it seemed like the entire team missed the bus last week.

Been hearing that #11 Johnson got shook up a little bit on a hit he took Friday night. Anyone know if there is any truth to that, because I never saw him limping or favoring anything towards the end of the game??

I'd like to just give a shout out to the HYFL. This is my grandsons first year to play and over the past month I've seen some special athletes. I know these kids are young but if the continue to get better like they should the future is bright in Huntingdon. With that being said this will be a hard game to pick. If Huntingdon comes out and plays Camden like we played West Carroll this game will be over by halftime. But if the mustangs play like they are capable of we will pull this one out. But we are going to have to play our best game yet, we can't have our young backs putting the ball on the ground this week if we want to pull this one out

Heard in the break room that Huntingdon is bringing back some former players to suit up for the game.

I think this game will be more competitive that most think. They key to the game in my opinion is our young backfield. They have not been hit like they will be hit Friday night. If they can stay calm and hold on to the ball, we have a chance. But the key is how will they respond, and no one knows that answer just yet because they have yet to be challenged like they will be Friday night yet
