  1. Packer has some weird phrases too. Discom-"boob"-ulated, "Simple Stupid" among other make it up as you go phrases. lol
  2. Going to be a great/fun game to watch! Good luck to both teams! Oh just saw this on twitter: PrepXtra Pick: Greenback 28, Coalfield 24.
  3. Wow 600+ yards! I knew they did well but that's a lot offense. Both teams look to match up. It will be a big test to try to get to 7-3 but I think no matter if they win or lose this will be a good game especially near playoff time before they play McMinn and Loudon two teams I think Scott will beat.
  4. I know the broadcasters from 104.3 were upset! They didn't care to tell what they thought at all! If it had been live on another station I would've turned it. They were even talking about the Jackets fans not cheering - being silent saying it was like they were at a tennis match. I hope the problems get sorted out. I remember a time when Kingston was a team to look out for every year. Good info. I predicted my score completely on the Cumberland Co vs Dekalb(43-28) game and York's game with them being close with Kingston beating CC 40-7. IDK anything about the teams York plays, they did play Scott in years past and I think Scott scrimmages them in the fall a lot. Losing an athlete like that will make a big impact especially a QB. I'll take Kingston ftw still.
  5. Just read he had a second half, lower extremity injury, not buying it. I think the coaches gave him a whipping at halftime and more than likely butthurt Back on topic, GB 47-19.
  6. I saw one TV highlight when they beat TKA 42-27 of the QB and more on max-p. If I'm not mistaken they said he scored a lot running the ball on TKA but look to have decent size/speed/skill. They beat Scott 46-20 in 2015 which I think they had a lot of seniors. I predict it's close in 2016, Scott 33-28 but Scott will have to be playing their best all 4 quarters.
  7. Yeah it didn't sound good. Took 20 minutes I believe to get him stabilized on the strectcher. Was in on a tackle, got up, was dizzy, grabbed his neck, went to his knees they said on the radio. Bad thing here in Scott is our hospital closed and it's 40 minutes from the school to the nearest one in Campbell. Anyway, I think Kingston gets the win. Prediction 42-19
  8. Probably from 1 of the 7-8 sponsors they constantly mention over and over and over between plays. lol sorry. GB 47-19
  9. I was listening to it on the radio but I believe they said he was in on a tackle inside the Kingston 5, they didn't know exactly what happened but he got right up, seemed dizzy and then grabbed his neck, went to his knees and etc. They had to stop gameplay for a while near the half. Took him off the field on a stretcher. Might been a precaution(I hope). It was a sophomore.
  10. First..... I hope the young man from Kingston is okay! Prayers for him and his family. Good win for Scott. Way more points scored than I guessed! Could be looking at a 7-3 playoff team if all goes well for the Highlanders the rest the of way especially with Hall back at QB. Best wishes to the Yellow Jackets the rest of the season.
  11. Thanks, missed the 1st score. Listening to it via WKNT -FM live stream, thanks to Coach T's scoreboard for listing it!
  12. Thanks for the info guys. I didn't know Hall had even made it back on the field yet. It's hard for me to make it to a game on Friday even at home. I've been out of it after a surgery(nothing life threatening but rough). Sellers is great D player, I've seen him put some hits on people and for a biggin' he can move. Having Hall back and being able to have both playing freeing up Sellers at D should help a lot. I think it's close through the early 3rd qtr. I thought last year's game(wasn't it raining/muddy?) would've had more points scored but Kingston came back in a defensive game after Scott went up 10-0 early and Kingston got the 2 scores they needed. Going to be one of those games were you can't make mistakes and have to put some points on the board. I said 26-13 but may not even see more than 3-4 scores. Keep us posted please. I try to get updates via @IHVarsity, wish there was a Twitter account like OHSradio for Scott seems like there would be!
  13. Is he going to get to start? I never did find out if it was his throwing arm or not. I thought Sellers might go in and play a couple of series, see how things start at the first of the game offensively then maybe put him in? I think Kingston will be tough, my guess a close game the 1st half, it's always a big rivalry game, and Sellers has been the QB since Week 1 against AE. I just don't want them to put him out there and since he hasn't been in all the way back to 8/16 and only 1 qtr playing in a real game situation. I know that's a coaching decision and I know Scott's coaches will make the right one. Anyway if they can get past Kingston and maybe Seymour(should be a tough match up) then imho Loudon and McMinn will be wins and good situation to get Hall ready for the Playoffs. BTW sorry for the novel. BTW for anyone interested in listening on the radio I "think" Scott will be on first(WBNT 105.5) since Oneida was on first last week plus the Indians play Sunbright and no disrespect should win that game no problem.
  14. Okay. I thought Fulton was 3a a couple years ago and then moved to 4a last year with Catholic and etc. All this classification changes over the years, lol, Anyway back to what some were saying "I'd like to see a Scott-CAK rematch." Also not sure about the OL/DL(1 on the OL is a senior I know) but most of Scott's skill players are Seniors, #4, #3, Hall(injured qb), #20, and the starting WRs except one "I believe". A few Juniors and Sophomore see playing time on defense.
  15. I'm fairly sure they've never been a 4a football school. When I went there in the mid 90s(93-97) they played Kingston & York every year. Webb, Harriman(Copeland's Senior year(?) in 93) Loudon(2a Then?), Oliver Springs, Campbell(96 or 97) I believe in non-district play some at that time. Unless when I moved to GA for a few years in early 2000s thing got switched up(?) They played Fulton in 1993 2nd round of the playoffs(14-7 Fulton).
  16. I made my picks at around 6:10 and it was showing as 8/26 on the site.
  17. Yep, at CAK next week, you have to fire on all cylinders for 4 quarters against the Warriors as Grace and Scott found out an early decent sized lead can quickly become a 1 score loss. Well I didn't over bid. Good luck to Kingston against CAK!
  18. I picked TKA last year though I hated doing so being an Indians fan, and I hate to pick them again in 2016 but TKA by 7 in a close game. I think Oneida has a decent D and offense but TKA finds enough offense to win. Just IMHO, please no one hate me!
  19. IDK anything about Grainger either just that their 1-1, to Union Co(W 48-6) & Sullivan East(L 33-24) again to start the season. Scott beat them 46-8 last year. If Grainger returned a lot of players and got better I would "guess" Scott still has a decent chance to win with the returning players and team they have in 2016. Grainger didn't lose as much to SE as this past year(35-8), though but again IDK Sullivan East or how well and etc their playing in 2016. I'll take Scott. The Highlanders are playing them at home this time not making the 5 hours drive.(!) I think they bounce back from the CAK loss, plus they need a win to get to an even(2-2) record especially before playing @ Alcoa. One score in the 2nd half against CAK and we could be looking at a 2-1 Scott team, and If the QB hadn't got injured at Austin East "maybe" a 3-0 team.
  20. He broke his collarbone on a handoff while driving on Austin-East near the end 1st quarter of the 1st game tied 0-0 at the AE 20 yard line. It's questionable when, IDK, local paper didn't give a timeframe or if it was his throwing or non-throwing arm, and when he does get back will/if he'll be ready to take over the qb position again. They put in a sophomore #16 and then #3 I think against AE. #3 had played QB running the ball in scrimmages in 2015 I know, but not sure if he took a snap in 2015 in games. Scott has been playing some JV players after that injury trying to get #3 off the field at LB, #15 & #16(maybe more) both sophomores. They kind of used Sunbright last week to get them ready by pulling and trying players off the JV. Shannon obviously was worried about depth/getting #3 hurt and said he didn't care what grade they're in, if they can play well they're going in. Sidenote: #15's Dad was a freshman starting RB in the mid 90s, a team that lost to Fulton 2nd round of the playoffs 14-7 but had a very(!) if you know what I mean, questionable block in the back call on a punt return TD at the end of it that would've set up a tie. Too his uncle lived in Scott but moved to Nashville right before 9th grade and ended up playing FB for BAMA mid 90s. Tough loss for Scott, just couldn't score in the 2nd half. 3 straight penalties on one drive, had some good plays(10-25 yard gains) that got called back. 1st half forced a fumble for a TD to go up 27-7, moved the ball running and throwing but with the depth imho + how well/hard they were playing/trying in the 1st half it wasn't a surprise like I said in my earlier post if CAK came back + CAK was down to Grace, 22-6/19-6 or something(?) I can't remember exactly but to goes on to win 36-29 & then over Scott 41-40 in OT down 34-10 halftime. Great game by both!!!
  21. I thought Scott could possibly hang in there with CAK, didn't expect the results so far in the first half. Still 2 quarters of football left, CAK did make a comeback on Grace. Interested to see if CAK can get something going like at the end of their 1st half drive. I'm surprised by the score right now either way.
  22. I wondered why Sellers(senior) didn't go in at QB. Was it because of a jersey switch rule or something? He was #3 in 2015 went to #52. I saw him in 2015's scrimmage against Rockwood playing QB running the ball. Not sure about his pass ability but for a biggin' he can move. Read on the Independent Herald Hall broke his collarbone, not sure how much we'll see him again in 2016 guess it all depends on his recovery, how the team is playing then and etc. Didn't say whether it was his throwing arm or not. I agree JacketsFan, Kingston should have this one by 21. Will be a good bounce back game, iron out some stuff from week 1. Harriman destroyed Wartburg in just one qtr! Good luck!
