East TN - Stanley Valentine (Hampton) a all-around beast, Middle TN - John Payne (Goodpasture Christian) leads entire state Single A in 30 pt games this season if I'm not mistaken, West TN Jeremiah Martin (Mitchell) another beast at guard spot. Double A. East TN- Jordan Bowdan (Carter) Can do what he wants when he wants Middle TN - Braxton Blackwell (CPA) one of the 5 best players in state at any age and class or Ross Cummings (Creekwood) best player on one of the best teams in state. West TN - Chris McNeal another outstanding kid that can do what he wants. Triple A- East TN Kordell Henderson (White Co) can score with anyone in the state Middle TN- Garrison Matthews (Franklin) one of the best all around players in the state West TN - Donte Fitzpatrick with the upset here! MAN!!! All I can say. But Lawson will win it.

I wasn't going to respond to anymore post but something was brought to my attention today. Alumn89, seems like i was correct in atleast one thing, the Payne kid was and is being recruited by many schools. And your hometown newspaper even made mention of his loss before anything else. He clearly isnt a top player in TN. Cant wait to read more and more of your obvious biases toward particular players and teams. C Ville doesnt have a prayer agaisnt White Co and i look forward to your bashing of the Henderson kid also

If there is really a single person iut there that thinks what is taking place at CPA should be acceptable, then I really question your judgment. It is not on the up and up and every single person knows that. You can make any argument you want but we all know its accurate.

Mr. Payne, is there any chance you might be interested in a word of advice from someone in the loop regarding your sons recruitment?

Mr. Payne, very nice to have parental input. I value the things you have to say and respect them very much. However, with all due respect, parents very often have no idea what is really going on behind the scenes. You yourself said above that I said a few things that led you to believe I may have some connections. That is because I do. And just because those are the schools you are familiar with doesnt mean that there are no other schools interested in your son sir. In fact there are several I have spoken with directly that like him a lot and are very high on him that you didn't list. I in no way intended to upset anyone or cause any confusion but I stand by all of my statements. I promise there are a few coaches from schools you did not mention that want your son. I stand by my C USA claim because that is what I was told directly. I apologize if I offended you sir. But both your son and Henderson are very high on some lists of schools that have yet to offer.

Fair enough. That may be a bit harsh but fair enough. The offer not only didnt come for Henderson but it didnt for Payne either. I always was very clear to point out i cant guarantee anything but i see your POV. You cant back up claims then you can expect jabs. That's fair. I only reported what i was told. I do know one of the NAIA schools that are so high on him.

Spence already has some schools interested but from what i have heard no offers for him. I am not tied into every coaching circle obviously but he will continue to get looks. And looks lead to possibilities. I dint know Bryan guys to say he will land there or not but if the trend continues with the classes they are getting, they prob wont have a spot to offer him

I know their names and basic info, i just dont know them very well at all. This is my first year doing what i do with NAIA schools. Don't have as strong ties in that avenue

I would like to get to know those guys at Bryan. They are one of the few groups I dont have a direct tie to in the college ranks in this area. Anyone know them? Invite them on lmbo I'm sure they wouldn't be caught on here

I like you 90warrior and I'm not saying Spence wont play at the next level but you are exceptionally nice i believe. I think you want these kids to play at the next level and that's very admirable. They all very well may but only about 4 percent of kids do. Not sure he will. I would say it may be difficult for him to obtain a full ride anywhere but maybe not impossible to play at the next level. I have a feeler out on him from a D2 head coach and i haven't heard anything back yet.

In all honesty, absolutely nothing. I will be first to admit that. I am in a position that calls for skill criticism but i couldnt ever get on here and question a kids heart or effort. Not in a forum like this. And to directly call out a kid because of that is wrong. This are kids. And to have a direct bias ( for reasons i think are pretty obvious to see ) is a down right shame. Ive never actually witnessed Henderson have a bad attitude or give up on plays. I could be wrong but only from my perspective i havent. I have seen him be outplayed by similar talent but ive seen him dominate similar talent also. My guess is someones kid didnt get enough playing time, or something along those lines.

Spence will garner some looks but it wont be at a high level. Havent heard very much regarding him in terms of possibilities but i will happily sniff around and let you know what i hear.

I will respectively disagree with your viewing and assessment of said players based on obvious dislikes and biases. I can basically prove with stats you have a bias against the payne kid. And hendersons numbers and performances can argure the same, maybe even more so. Again with the jabs ie andy katz. Ill accept it for what it is dude. Also being matched up goes both ways. I just watched a link to Paynes highlights and several from last season were on Henderson. So not only was payne on him but he was also matched up with payne defensively on several occasions. Just saying. The video doesnt lie. But I'm sure ur memory trumps the video.

There is also a reason bates never got a d1 SNIFF. Just saying. And as far as your poking fun at my comment about payne guarding henderson, those 6 times were in a 2 1/2 minute highlight video! So it obviously happened more. You statement said it didnt happen at all. And you also failed to comment on the fact they matched up for 2 years prior to your boy bates arriving. Nice way to dodge your false statements though.

You obviously have a strong dislike for both the payne and henderson kids. you are also again using words that are directly aimed at making fun of me. i can send you links all day about those 2 kids if thats what u want because u obviuosly think im just on here blowing smoke. but that is fine. you also obviously love the bates kid, and thats fine. but from a pure talent and basketball skill set, none of them are in hendersons and paynes league. period. it is not up for dicussion. there is a reason why they both have serious interest and or offers at that level. payne is up to 4 d1 offers now. that can be verified before u call me a college insider again. henderson has several looks. just funny that everyhing u say about some of these kids in terms of their negatives are what college coaches are saying as their upsides and positives, but who am i to question that? just that simple. i do agree with u that henderson is the only d1 guy in the district. croslin, cole, richmond are all naia players in my eyes.

Payne did guard Henderson. I have game footage and highlights of both payne and henderson from last seasons games on my pc now. But considering bates was only there 1 year and payne has been matched up with him since they were freshmen, id imagine he has guarded him a time or 2. And i just counted 6 plays on hendersons film were payne matched up against him. Not sure what u were watchin. I happened to be at the freshmen tourney were payne torched him. Also coach Kermit at MTSU mentioned the same thing. Don't mind to drip his name cause he said i could. The yoder kid lit him up last year twice. And i have seen do things similar to what u just mentioned. Could be why he hasnt gotten the bigger looks. And i meant as a talent. Best upside. Alos, no offense because we turned a page from arguing a while back but there is new talk about some player issues with the buford kid at c ville and bray. It doesnt seem to be dying.

That is a good point. I have seen him struggle against Stone and Yoder twice and C Ville and the payne kid a couple times. But I've also seen him light up a few good aau teams.

I'm in no way in any positron to question that. I dont know enough to question his heart. I know he has skills and can play. Don't know about the rest. I'm gonna dig though cause its odd.

Different coaches. Not the one that said he is trying to work out an offer. I just reached out to get a feel from a few coaches i know well on a personal level and both sort of shut me down quickly. Just said they were choosing to pass. Another coach i know said he thinks he will end up d2. Im not sure. There is something not coming to the top on this. Talent is there. No question. I am not well versed enough on the kid to question his heart but he showed some this summer.

I am not sure what the issue is. No one would really go into it with me. Talked with a D1 coach in Nashville and one in East TN this morning, both said they simply want to pass on henderson. Wouldnt elaborate. I initiated the talkand asked why they hadnt offered and they both were really short just saying they passed on him.

I like him A LOT!!! He may be my favorite kid in the district. Had a chance to see him play over the summer a few times. He is really high on some NAIA radars. Good NAIA teams at that. NAIA basketball is underrated and over looked a lot.
