Fun fact Springer was actually the 3rd fastest guy on that team based on 40. Our RB and Wr both were faster in the 40. Spring had great game speed though and played so much faster than he actually was. He was really shifty.

I understand what you are saying. I will say that you guys are one of the few if not only private schools that did things the right way. You have to understand why schools “cry” especially smaller schools is because it’s a distinct advantage when you can just go out and get players from wherever. LC remembers having to play ECS, USJ, etc they didn’t operate the same way you guys do.

That may be true but most privates aren’t operating that way. I can count about 3 more state championships that LC could potentially have without playing private schools. ECS personally cost us probably 2.

I wasn’t trying to downgrade a program. I just do not think it’s logical to say people were crying about privates. Of course it was an issue because smaller public schools don’t have the ability and resources to just go out and get players to replace what is lost. You guys acting like being private and playing against public schools isn’t an advantage is laughable.

Somebody sounds upset because his team is now having to play other private schools and went 3-7 this year.

To be honest with you, I was hoping to play Huntingdon in this game. I felt like we matched up much better with them and was thinking we could probably beat them by 2 scores. I mean no disrespect to Huntingdon because I know that they are a great team just liked that match up more. Cornerville plays great defense and will make us have to grind this one out for a win. Fewest mistakes win this game. I think if LC can score 24+ we will win but if not things will be dicey. Good luck to both teams and congratulations on great seasons thus far.

Naw, I think I like this thread. If you recall swo, this started with Atlas bringing LC up earlier in this very thread. Up until that point the only thing any LC poster said on this thread was congratulations. So it was a UC poster that brought me into this.

That statement is completely false.the fact remains that UC gets players from: Mississippi, obion county schools not named UC, a basketball player from ohio, and a female player from GC. Looks to me like UC might as well be a private school, but it wouldn't matter they would find a way to stay 1A with the multiplier. Also, I can't help it that the LC kids just mature faster than others lol. I am sure that most kids would rather run through the concession stand smoke and mosquitoes, before playing on that hideous purple field. I mean it looks like Barney threw up on it.

Yes, they both beat south Pitt but I'm sure the south Pitt team LC beat was quite a bit more talented than the one UC beat.

Everything I say is 100% fact not accusations. UC did decline to take the 2 female students, yet, they still took the lewis brothers. THat is fact swo so maybe you should get the facts. Also, LC does have 2 titles and won those titles playing against much tougher opponents than UC did to win theirs. Your response will be what have you done lately, we have done just fine considering our numbers. You are the largest, so called, 1A team and to be perfectly honest UC was very average, most years, when they played in their appropriate classification. LC has just as much history as UC and win they won their titles it was with only 3 classifications and if it was not for private schools LC would probably have a few more. Speaking of Private schools the only difference between UC and a private school, is that private schools admit to recruiting and offer financial aid. Also, you say that LC is crying, who was crying when no UC players were selected distrcit 14A MVP. You will say you got the gold ball and that is what matters, however, you along with others still were crying about it. Since LC is so inferior to the mighty UC, it impresses me that LC has beaten UC 14 times in their school history. I am sure that no other 1A can say that. So, us playing UC has nothing to do with the problem that I have with UC. It is the principle, you said it yourself that LC has nothing to offer kids and that everyone is flocking to UC. So, why would the mighty UC want to continue to play against such inferior competition? Is it because you know that UC cannot continue to have the same success in a larger classification? Apparently, LC is not as inferior as you would like to think, based on the fact that all of you UC posters choose to keep responding. That is what a rilvary is about. I have accomplished what I have set out to do. I want to thank all the UC posters for providing me with all of my amusement, in the midst of your glorious state championship weekend.

How many titles did UC have when they played 2A ball? Let me answer that just in case you do not know 0. So, glad it took UC moving to 1A to finally win some.

Not bashing UC, I'm just stating facts. The Lewis brothers were accepted while 2 female non athletes were not. Nate Coleman transferred to UC in 2005. All I am doing is stating facts. There must be some truth for you all to get so fired up in defense.

This year and last year, yes, the kids came from UC. In O5, Nate Coleman came from Mississippi. I know for a fact that the year the Lewis brothers came from SF that 2 females that were not athletes were declined enrollment. So, while I do believe that the kids on UC team this year we're from UC; there have been many years where UC has brought other kids in. Maybe, UC brings the scandal on themselves.
