Yes D'burg fan's definitely are not looking through those rose colored glasses others seem to have no. We want to win as bad as anyone but reality shows that we are probably not going to be the favorite on the next couple of Friday nights even if we get by Liberty. I think that predicting a Trojan win might be like my getting a loan for a million dollar house, and I am making minimum wage...... My desire to have the house and the miraculous miracle of my getting the load does not erase the fact that... in all likelihood my salary will dictate I am not going to make this happen......... not wishing anything bad or trying to be a pessisimist but the truth it what it is......Go Trojans, prove me wrong.... I don't mind. I took a peek at Crockett's Bracket.... I can see them going to the state semi's at least maybe even to the state finals. There are not a lot of good teams on this side of the bracket to stop them unless there is a upset. Liberty, Trezevant and Dyersburg are about all I see stopping them and of course those three teams are all on our (Trojans) side of the bracket. Seriously, Heatwave was banned how did that happen? He is just a kid having fun...... and getting on everyone's nerve I suppose.

Yea, you are right once again DHSTennis about the (Plan of Doom) Z-Plan. I am glad that after this year we are returning to some normalcy in the football playoffs. I think every year since this plan has been in effect, that upon the completion of the season the administrators at TSSAA has had to critique it in some way. Perhaps after about 5 years of this playing a season for naugh unless you are undefeated or finish number one or if you are just plain lucky (Lexington) maybe everyone will not be so quick to complain about travel. Yea that part about Lexington getting a home game now that really sucks. I guess we are playing for a cookie, or a lollipop..... a sucker for a sucker. I also don't like some of these big first round games..... Milan vs Westview, and D'burg vs Liberty....I would like to have not seen us playing the same teams in our district at least not until the third round. Oh, but once again that's the infamous 'Z' Plan strategy.... I guess slick1 needs to get with the program.

I found it amazing that D'burg finished higher and beat Westview ... yet we have to travel to Liberty. WOW.... sort of weird but to get where you want to get you have to beat the best. Good luck to both teams.....

Thanks Trojan and DHSTennis, I call it like I see it did not say I wanted it to happen and would be glad to eat crow and be wrong but all factors point to this being a short post season for the Trojans. I was not aware that we had two injured players and that could only make a bad situation even worse. One point was valid if our boys are spending more time on Coach T rather then focusing on the coach and the game in all probablility they were a done deal anyway. Go Trojans... love the black and Gold win, lose or draw.

Yes, I heard that Myah committed to UT on yesterday that is a great program close to home and great coaches. I hope that Kevin is there for a few more years because I can see him talking over a bigger program. I think he would make a great coach at University of Memphis women or an assistant on Holly staff..... he is a coach. It is amazing what he has done with UTM.

Tks for the information GC and you provided what I needed especially the part about the Jamboree. I that the D'burg Jamboree is normally the second Saturday in the month of November. I hope there is a great list of team adn I want to see what kind of schedule we have this year and where the district and Regional tournaments are being played. I did not see where you reported anything on Obion or Union City lady teams this year, how do they look? It might be that neither of those teams were representattve at Westview a contributing factor as to why there is no report. You are a wealth of basketball knowledge GC

Thanks for the report GC, I have been watching for scheduleds and Jamborees locally (West Tn.) you have any information? Glad to see that the Lady Trojans are still looking like they might be competitive, the past two years have been great. I hope that Myah remains healthy throughout and she will be one of the top players in the state. I wonder if anyone is looking at her. I thought maybe Union, Bethel or Freed would all three be great programs for her skills. I will talking with you throughout the season GC......

I thought we might get a little easier first game then this. Oh well, it's possible to win but we better come ready to play. I hope we carry a good crowd and pull the upset. Liberty beat Ripley handily last Friday 54-7 while we somewhat struggled with the Tigers especially in the second half. Any predicitions? Liberty 34 - Dyersburg 13 I hope this is not the final score and I am not wanting to see the Trojans go down but my predictions is base off what I know about both teams. In this case I have to go with the facts rather than the heart.

Yes Heatwave, it does look like clear sailing for Crockett all the way to the semi's. I see you all being better then the first three for sure. Dyersburg got a tough draw Liberty on their field,but that is what happens when you lose games. I only hope we go there and play a respectable game. Liberty beat Ripley 54-7 and we might have won by 13 pts., not sure of the final score. Base off that and the caliber competition that Liberty has played things don't look good for the Trojans. I think that Liberty also beat Henry County and the Patriots might have finished 8-2. I think the strength of schedule must have been the determining factor in our being seeded so low. Looks like Northside had a better seeding then we did. I am hoping that Crockett goes all the way good for our district. Guess we better start dusting off the basketball equipmen, which looks like another long season for the Trojan men.... perhaps once again the Lady Trojans can save the day, as they always seem to do.

WOW... look like a great night for football.... Halloween.... Trick or Treat........I guess I will root for the Cavs that will give the Trojans a second place finish.... possibly a home game somewhere in the playoffs maybe?

Rellim51 I think you succeed in getting some of us stirred up (Cavalier), however the game is played on the field and anyone can be beaten at anytime. I wish Crockett the best, but the closest they have come to being challenge thus far (not taking anything away from anyone) was their game at home with the Trojans. I am sure Westview has improved since their game with Dyersburg and we were lucky to have been on our game that night to escape with a victory. I hope that Westview does put the scare into CC., because due to their (CC) not being challenge the entire season it can come back and bite them in the butt when a game is on the line. We need to see how they will react under pressure, Westview has been behind and has fought through adversity, but has Crockett? Some of you might think I am being petty, but I have seen a lot of good undefeated teams get to this stage fall behind in a game and turn on each other and panic. Westview is going to be on their top game come Friday and hopefully Crockett will also..... Let the game begin.... Go Trojans.....

I thought that Ripley would be a challenge prior to the game on Friday night, even after the Trojans jumped ahead 18-0. It took them the entire first half but after a while the Purple Tigers started to represent. The second half the Tigers started to step up and at one time the score was 18-15 D'burg, however it was then that the Trojans regrouped and shut it down.... rolling to victory. Two players that really impressed me for Ripley was the quarterback and Sportez.... Great job Ripley, I think you guys are headed in the right direction. I still find it hard to believe you lost to Halls in the Jamboree preseason game.... what happened?
