I haven't seen anyone on here bragging about LC beating UC or Humboldt. You play who shows up to play that's all you can do. At least when we beat Peabody they had everybody playing.

I hope if he does have something up his sleeve we see it tomorrow nite at UC. Our boys are a different team than the one that played UC at the first of the season. I think it will be a much closer game than anyone expects. Cheer them on for me I'm not going to be able to go. I see your Middle College team has been showing out. I have always agreed with you about how good they are. I think they are one of the best teams that we have played this year.

First of all I didn't realize I was responding to a post that you had made and second of all I was posting simply about our boys attitude not about Whitby and his coaching methods. As I said I can understand showing attitude during the game whether it's because of a mistake you've made or one you think the coach is making. I also talk to this school member daily and I know exactly what you are talking about but that had nothing to do with the post I made. I just wanted to say that in my opinion these are some great young men and I wanted to say something positive about them. I also didn't say anything about one kid being more talented than the other. I go to all the games I know who I think should start but I'm not the coach and I also don't know what is going on behind the scenes. My post was not about talent it was about attitude. Maybe I'll see you at UC and we can talk about this some more.

I know each of these young men personally and none of these players have a bad attitude. Sure they may get frustrated during a game and show a little attitude but who doesn't? You guys are just on a message board and your showing a little attitude. Don't judge them for what you see for an hour on the basketball court because there is a lot more to them than that. I never see them when I'm not greeted with a smile. Give them break they are still teenagers.

On Friday night January 6, 2006 Lake County was better than Humboldt. The better team is the one with the higher score. If any game was a fluke it was Trenton beating Humboldt.

Big Wes I just want to thank you for reading my mind and posting it. All of these thoughts are running through my mind but I just can't state it as well as you do. I told your mom yesterday I needed you to get on here and post my thoughts and you just did it. ( Especially about the refs cheating for Lake County, what a joke !!!! )

When last year did Trenton beat Lake County without Doaks? Lake County beat Trenton this year because they were the better team on that particular night.

From Lake County I'm thinking Tony Tyler, Sep Valentine, Brandon Springer and Channin Geanes. I love to watch Robert Yancy play, you know he is going to make something happen. Wish I had all that energy. You can tell he has a love for the game.

How did the homecoming for the Tidemen go today? I'm sure it was a great party. They have a lot to be proud of. They have overcome a lot to get to this point. It takes a lot for adults to pick up and move on but for teenagers to do it says a lot for these young men. Well done.

Lake County schools did let out one hour early for fans to make the drive to Middleton but a lot of people don't work at the school and had leave whenever they could. I just don't want people thinking Lake County does not care about their teams because we do. At the time of this game, it was a possibilty of school closing due to the flu, so there would go some of our days. Also we are building a new elementary and junior high, so days are being saved because due to construction we will have to close for that. I don't know about the seating and I don't actually care. What I do know is Lake County does care about their teams (all of them not just basketball.) It is time to move on. Congrats to Middleton and Peabody for a great season.

I've never seen Wayne County play but to be this far in the game, they have to be talented. But what I have seen is a Peabody team faced with what most people thought was a season ending controversy and come through like champions. My hat is off to the Peabody squad and their coach for overcoming these obstacles and making it to the final four. Also to Doaks for moving past this incident and leading his team. Win or lose, this team has showed everyone, that they are winners. Good luck Peabody.

I wasn't at the game last night but I did listen on the radio. I did hear 31 and 55 a lot. Not much info maybe someone who was there can tell you more.

I have also complimented your team but I wish that every issue did not come down to a problem with Lake County but you are entitled to your opinion just as I am. Just like you I am very loyal to my home team. You've got to love a friendly rivalry. Good luck to you and your Tide.

No actually I'm not wrong and I do remember, could you be wrong? I was there at every boys game and I saw empty seats. I'm not blinded by a loss. I do hate it for our boys but it does not cloud my memory. I do remember enough empty seats for Middle College's team to set in the Trenton section at the championship game, do you remember this? Probably not. If I did not know the facts, I would not have posted the comment. The empty seats were there.
