We used to have to play Alcoa, Maryville, Knox West, MUS, Brentwood Academy..... to get a gold ball. Lost to Alcoa twice in the semis (one a heartbreaking 1 point loss) and beat them in a qtr final 42-14. Played Maryville one time and beat them in a semi 14-13. Beat Brentwood Academy for a gold ball. Beat Knox West in a semi on our way to another gold ball. They were the only team to score on 1st string defense that year. They went up 7-0 and we beat them 41-7. We used to have to some very tough teams.

I don't doubt it. He was good. The whole team was good but Malone stood out to me.

I'm not sure what ever happened with him.

I still have nightmares about Malone..... lol

Reality is setting in. I ain't jokin either.

Seq has some good looking kids. Jasper didn't play a couple kids on offense in 1st half. Martin was able to bust a couple plays when he got in finally. Threw the ball very well in 2nd half. I would say next week's game will be a lot more of that and a full compliment of players to start the game.

You guys do a great job. I've watched the Marion game a couple times.

They've gotten better each week I believe. Still tinkering with the offense a little and fighting the injury bug too.

We like to aggravate each other for sure but there are some good people down there and I guess they may have a point. Thanks for the kind words and the same to you guys. I've watched 2 of your games and you guys have a great team again. Just stay healthy and prayers for you guys as well.

Most of the teams I know nothing about so I couldn't really do a top 10. I can see Westview and Meigs being there at the top. If the qb stays healthy it will be hard to beat them. I'm partial to Marion but we aren't a top 5 team but could get there by the end of the season. We have a long ways to go to be a really good team.

MC threw a few times tonight and looked good doing it. Still a lot of work to do on offense. A LOT. 1st string defense has only given up 1 TD this season. Forrest always has some good looking guys kids. Their defense played pretty well for the most part. Offense was just limited in what they did. Score may not show it but they're a pretty good ball team.

MC offense sluggish as well. A lot of that is Forrest defense though.

Shhhhhh........ Lol..... I can remember an away playoff game many years ago and walking from the parking lot to the field and leaves crunching under your feet. Get inside the stadium and the field was a mud bog. I guess it only rained on the field

I think the field will be fine. The sun is out now. Rain supposed to be out by mid morning tomorrow and then 2 full days of sun. Who told you about the helicopter?

To be honest no one at Marion has been impressed so far either. I've only watched highlights of the 3 teams you mentioned. Riverside and Huntingdon should be able to hang with them because they're top 10 teams as well. I'm not sold on Lewis Co. but of course seeing something on video is a lot different than in person.
