Any guesses on who will win this tourn? Id like to go straight up with Clay but too many teams have split or games have been very close in this district. Clay only beat Monterey by two, JC got beat by Monterey and PC. Crange beat PC and Monterey both games but lost to JC. I will go with Clay but think any of the other teams can cause upset. Just hope tourn games are called better than some of the reg season games ive saw. Dont want refs deciding the winner

Thanks for the info 2020. I didn't realize the Beaty kid played both sports. I saw them play last year but I didnt recognize him in a hat I guess. He is a great PG for the Buffs and now that I know he plays both sports, I look forward to watching him when Crange comes over the hill to Celina. Not familiar with the other player in basketball or baseball but look forward to watching the games and good luck to all the 7A teams

Any opinions on how district 7a will stack up against the other district in regional tourney?

As I stated before Im a basketball junkie. Who are the two players that play basketball too 2020? I am not that familiar with 7a baseball players. Just saw a few games last year but did enjoy it

I give a slight edge to Clay as well. I think we are deeper and for sure have a great coach. Monterey has been underestimated this year. Crange proved last year it doesn't matter what place you start out being picked in... Its how you finish. District tourn will come down to who wants it more and whose shots are falling.

And I'm not knocking all refs. Some do a great job and try to be fair. Those that do know exactly the ones that don't. Nobody is perfect and can miss calls etc but when you can clearly see and hear what is going on RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU...do something.

I agree also. The officiating has been bad in a lot of games. It doesn't seem to be in just one area either. Several people are complaining from different places. I've saw a few games that's been almost to the point of being dangerous. Players getting hurt, games being decided by officials not players, officials letting fans get out of control, the list goes on and on. Something needs to be done before a player gets hurt badly or real violence happens at a game in the stands. Come on TSSAA- surely somebody there cares and can come watch and reprimand these actions or lack of actions

Thank you Mr Johnston for an unbiased run-down of what happened. Great post. And I agree Intense, no excuse for racism anywhere in our society. All young players should be taught to have good sportsmanship and never take part in anything like saying racial slurs. I know Coach Aaron and he is a great person. He would never condone that kind of behavior. I hope he doesn't get a bad wrap for it. Parents- let's all teach our kids to build others up. Not tear them down. Let's teach our kids and grandkids to be good people on and off the floor. No excuse for any racial comments, trying to purposely hurt other players, or targeting any player for any reason. Hope TSSAA puts stop to this kind of behavior by anyone.

I don't usually comment on baseball forum. I'm more of a basketball junkie but when I saw this I had to throw my two cents in. Last year I went to a few games and saw alot of yelling, trash-talking, and poor sportmanship with some of the teams. I must say I was impressed by Crange players. Not just on the field but off. I witnessed first hand the sportsmanship and class these guys have. A couple of their players helped me unload my trunk and carry over my cooler, chairs, etc. They offered to help and were very polite to my wife and I. After the game in which they won, they were humble and very respectful to the other team. Class act. Good job Coach. It shows what a great bunch of guys you have. Must cheer for my hometown-Clay Co but shout out to Crange team. You're attitudes don't go unnoticed

I think us folks in 7a are in for some exciting tourn games. Any of the teams can win and nobody should be counted out. A few have got off to slow starts but are coming on strong and its going to make some great basketball action for us all to see. Good luck to the players and all the teams. Hope everyone stays healthy and injury free.

I love watching basketball always have. Am a clay county resident but enjoy watching all area teams. Not trying to knock or talk smack about any school or player. I see a lot of great players in all the teams and try to be unbiased. Their all kids and work hard. Not taking anything from white county. Awesome wins first two times. I wasn't there to see them but I know white hastwo great teams

Talking smack? I only stated crange won and that they were the better team last night when the excuses started. I wasn't at the other two games so I don't know how those went or why the outcome. I got to the game last night

Sorry my bad it sounded more like a knock to me. I was clarifying if all counties with more than one high school need to classify by total enrollment of the county instead of classifying by enrollment in school. I think Fentress Co is a little different from other counties because of York being state funded. The county only has one county high school so technically any county elem student can go to the county high school but then they have a state run high school that any student in the state can attend so its different in that county than most.

So Stone should be classified by the enrollment for all of Cumberland County? Cookeville High should include all of Putnam County enrollment?

I don't understand what is going on in white/crange game. Crange came out on a run then lost the lead and came back within three only to have their coach sub in and out just enough to cool his starters off. Great game white county. Lots of great shooting
