ummmm, it didn't rain in Lewis County during the game. We just got socked in the mouth and didn't like it too well. Apparently Lewis County hits harder than "some other" schools we have played and beaten

#5 does not like contact, just watch him play basketball. He is a bit soft. Several on the team welcome contact and I would venture to say #1 will sock any of them right in the mouth. Waverly will bring it this week so be ready Camden

Oh there has been plenty of doubt... You may not have doubted them but there has been plenty.

I certainly mean no disrespect. Just a little friendly banter among friends is all. I say the very same thing to my friends from Hickman County. I can also understand that the comments could be taken incorrectly. With all the blood pressure getting up by those who doubted Waverly, I can see the reluctance to cut up. See our boys have no pressure. They have far exceeded expectations and are just having fun. It is evident watching the boys play, they are having a blast. And just think, we have not even started basketball yet, now that is when the fun will really get going!!

I mean really, it is HickMan county. HickTown is not too bad. Try a visit there and you will understand.

It’s really fun seeing many people rationalize Waverly’s success as being a fluke because they have not played anyone with a winning record. Waverly actually contributed to those losing records. They are also not just winning, they are destroying these other teams. The starters have yet to get a full game in. That is the down side of their dominance early in the season. Yes, the next three weeks will be the toughest tests. When we win these games you all will likely say that everyone else is having a down season. That is ok too. Our boys will hold their head high and play with pride and character. Just think, after this week’s Lewis County game, you will be able to say that Waverly has beat another team with a losing record, aka current 3-3 & 1-3 (D) Lewis County. While our coaches and team will not look past this quality opponent, we will certainly be there to play.
