Moonshiner I'm tired of being negative, but something has got to give. Players and coach have to get better. Know way we should be 1-15. Terrible defense fueled White Co's fire. Won't get much better Tue vs Upperman. Next possible win i see is on Jan 15 vs Smith.

Dexter, you were right. Coaching could be the problem, seems non interested for Smith. Who knows, just one game that i saw too. Very inexperienced team. Not alot of talent. Cannon doing much better than anticipated. Keep it up down there.

Dexter, u might be right. Dekalb could finish 8th. But i still believe that Watertown and Macon are 4th and 5th and that Cannon, Smith and Dekalb will battle it out for 6th-8th. I can't believe that Dekalb is 1-14, but facts are facts. Cannon seems to be playing some good basketball. That's great for them. The top 3 are definitely heads and shoulders above everyone else.

Tigers123 i agree with your assessment. I have been on the coach and i won't change my position on that. I will say this, the players need to play alot better and take some responsibility and come with a different attitude in 2019. Your right it's not all on the coach, players do need to quit hearing all the garbage in the stands. It's absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing to me as a fan. I've had to move so I'm not associated with that mess. Hopefully everyone will come together for the greater good of seeing Dekalb Co basketball be good. Things need to change all the way around in 2019, because honestly tournament time is all that matters. I believe Sanders will get things turned around. Sometimes it takes longer than what we want. Not one person in the stands could coach a lick or have the guts to sit down there and make tough decisions. Sometimes I'm no better than any of them. Good luck Tigers and Coaches in 2019. I'm not going to sit here and blame everything on the coach, i like the guy. Something is a miss and I'm not exactly sure what it is. Sanders didn't own Dekalb in is time at Smith, but he did beat Dekalb. What Sanders did have at Smith was one the best groups to ever come thru Smith. He had Shepperson and King 2 of the best ever. Both 1,000 pt scorer's. So hard to judge all of his coaching. He did win regular season one year. I hope he can turn us around, i like going to the games but this has been hard to swallow. Moonshiner you summed up the game pretty close to what happened. Still playing way to many kids in my opinion, with no rhythm for the kids to get in. Oh well, time to move on. We have played at least 15 games so we can't use they are inexperienced anymore. Time for the kids to get better and start playing. Will say this, i did think this was the most upset all of our crazy parent's and fans were after the game. They were looking for blood, coach had a police escort out of the gym. When u lose to a 1-13 team that will happen. Everybody thought we were better. Tiger's will turn it around, got the 2nd half of the season to make the most out of it. Well my Dekalb Tigers are definitely heading in the wrong direction. Lost again tonight to our border rival Cannon Co at the Watertown Christmas Tournament for the 2nd time already this year. Our losing streak is now extended to 12 games in a row and our record sits at 1-13. Not at all what i expected from Coach Sanders. Maybe we will figure out how to win, don't have that killer instinct and belief from our players or coach. Oh well, we get lowly Westmoreland tomorrow, surely the streak comes to a end tomorrow, because they just aren't very good after watching them play, but we aren't either. Good luck tomorrow boys.

My Dekalb Tigers extend their losing streak to 11 games, to a not so good Forrest team tonight. We looked awful. 1 pt in the 1st Q. Hopefully we can get a big win tomorrow vs our border rival Cannon Co. Big game tonight.

Tiger123 i think it's a combination of the players and coach. Hopefully those things will work themselves out. Poss coming back tomorrow will hopefully be a big lift tomorrow night at Monterey. We shall see if the last 2 games are a continued step forward. I sure hope so.

The Tigers have definitely played better the last 2 games vs Warren and Jackson, poor decisions down the stretch may have cost us both those games. Oh well, time to move on to the next game on Tue.

Tnhoosier i agree with some of your assessment. Though the effort and discipline or lack of, no strategy, numerous substitutions and strategy in end of game situations fall back on the Coach. Parents in the stands last night hit a all time high. This bunch is better than what they are showing, now next year will be tougher on Sanders. First year i can recall the Middle school having a winning season. So maybe that helps High school down the road. I agree Dekalb has suffered in that area. Hopefully things can turnaround this year and we can get a little Confidence. Didn't expect to see a 20 win season, but did expect our boys to put up a better fight. Oh well, time to get back on track Fri.

Wow, is all i can say about tonight's performance by Dekalb. May have hit an all time low tonight. Anybody else have an opinion about tonight. 10 points at half, just unbelievable. Oh well, move on to the next game.

Poss coming back will be a huge boost to the team. Only kids returning that played any last year were Norris, Atkins, Cook and Poss. All those other seniors on the roster never played, so no experience. Have no idea why Martin left, but wasn't a bad nucleus left for Coach Sanders. He will turn it around, i have no doubt. Got to win tomorrow night. Must win. I do believe the coaches are complete opposites so sometimes that takes an adjustment. Sanders has had plenty of time to implement his system, coaches get the whole month of July to practice along with team camps in June. Now when Coach Fish got hired for the girls job he didn't get the job till the beginning of school starting. Oh well, Sanders has some talented underclassmen that i look forward to watching. He will continue to grow and mold these young. Future is bright with talent and coaching in Dekalb.
