  1. Go Blaze! Me and my crew are on our way to the Met, play hard and play your best beat the Heck outta of Hoover.!!!!!!!!
  2. I see your point but if you saw the whole game did you notice the horrendous officiating 16 flags to 2, did you notice Miami Central dressed a whopping 38 players in 100 degree heat after traveling 800 miles vs Hoover's 120+, did you notice from 9 minutes left in the 3rd that Miami Central benched their QB and ran the Wildcat with their WR who ended up with 160yds rushing and adding insult to injury Miami didnt attempt a pass during that time. How in the heck did Miami win at all. The Colquitt game was a complete mismatch and a physical annihilation by the now #3 team in the country Hoover is afraid to even whisper their name for a game next year. That game could be probably be uploaded on Youtube but Im sure Hoover would probably sue the uploader. Lol
  3. Phenix City and Fairhope are in the south and the only way Hoover plays either is in the State Title Game. There are 3 teams in 6A that most think would win state in 7A. Hoover has indeed ruled the roost and have some national recognition but alot of people are not aware that the city of Hoover only has 2 High schools so imagine a city the size of Mufreesboro with 2 schools. How good could Oakland and Blackman with a talent pool like that? Hoover should win 7A here in Bama, for instance even in their region they have nearly more than 1000 students than just about everybody the equivalent of a medium sized highschool, however have you ever wondered since they are such a juggernaut why havent ANY of their players excelled on the college scene. On this side of the border we know why they have the numbers, financial support , city tax dollars, and fantastic infrastructure because the homegrown talent is mediocre to average.
  4. Normally people have allegiances and root for the local team even if not their own team vs a team from a different state etc. This is not even remotely the case here in Bama. Most of us want the Blaze to blaze Hoover
  5. Im not shocked nor suprised. Hoover is very funny in that way, dang near cultish. When they believe they will dominate they'd want it on ESPN or any TV for all to see (ironically they only scheduled Miami Central because they thought they were in a down year because they were aware their whole All American offense graduated, now if Miami Central offered them 1 million for a rematch play again in 2015 they'd turn it down LOL). Their former coach Colquitt Co Rush Propst knows how they operated and he only wanted a Home and Home which he got. The same is with you all at Blackman if you all whip'em and say "Hey come up to Murfreesboro in 2015 or 2016 at our house to return the favor" They go Nahhh thanks but no thanks however if they anticipate having a very good squad on paper in 2020 and you all are down, they'd try real quick to finalize that paperwork in 2018 thats how they operate. Every team has Hudl right? You can go to EVERY team's Hudl in the nation without signing in and view team or individual Hudl highlights but guess which one you cannot. However only being 1 of 2 Highschools in the entire city their attendance is not very good, so they are trying to have a "BLACKOUT" and a Halloween theme to draw a crowd could be another reason they dont want it televised.
  6. Blaze45, This years Hoover squad has been overrated from the get-go. The writers try to paint the picture of dominance with the talk about 30 or 37 game win streaks depending how they spin it but this years team is 7-2, 0-2 with comparable talent and 7-0 vs overmatched opponents. Blackman is 9-0 and of comparable talent, as far as this so called ton of SEC recruits is a complete myth, they have a some recruits but have no real SEC impact players and the closest they ever had was Chad Jackson in 2001. Jennings without a doubt is the best QB they have seen and #24 will be the most physical RB they have played against. The key will be If Blackman OL blocks well and commits to running the ball because Hoover wants their opponent to pass so they can rush and not get worn down, even if not if they stuff Hoover's ground game and force them to pass Hoover loses and just might get embarrassed.
  7. If Blackman shuts down the rush game and doesnt lose the turnover battle Hoover wont score 17
  8. Blaze supporters the Local sports prep writer in Alabama is predicting Hoover wins by 2 TDs easily, exactly the same predictions he made before the Miami Central and Colquitt County Ga defeats. I dont think he personally believes it but he would probably get a ton of nasty emails if he picks against them. http://highschoolsports.al.com/news/article/5301166050663482901/alcom-readers-and-jeff-sentell-weigh-in-on-whos-winning-week-11s-big-games/
  9. yes they are a good team, but read my post about the Miami Central game. They played a decent team last week who is 5-4 and the score was 24-24 with their opponent had 1st and goal on the 1 in the 4th qtr and blew it...they are good but very very beatable. Im here to see their games. If it was a 2003 or 2004 squad which Ive obviously watched Id say Hoover 45 Blaze 10. But they are not them
  10. 1. The Hoover MC game was arguably the worst officiated game I have seen, I was embarrassed for the AHSSA. MC had 16 penalties and alot were beyond questionable. That made the final score very deceiving. 2. MC special teams were god awful as they had 2 punts blocked in the first two possessions. Their star WR DeVante Phllips, RB ,backup RB, didnt play the last 1 1/2 qtrs from cramping. Their starting WR move to Wildcat with 7min left in the 3rd and ended up with 170 rushing, and thats after the starting RB had 160 in the 1st half. lol 3. Very true about having a big OL, but were you aware that Miami Central only dressed 38 football players in 100 degree heat vs Hoovers 120+. So if the game was close what does that really tell you, and they lost. 4. They have never seen a QB like Jennings, who I watched on ESPN and UT is gonna get a good one. Colquitt County just physically punished Hoover from the 1st snap to the last one, which I saw, and I assure you Hoover doesnt want that tape out LOL good luck finding that on Youtube. I did watch Blackman game on ESPN. good size good athletes physical RB and Good QB is a recipe for a Hoover whipping.
  11. Honestly thats what I believe. A mobile QB with speed who can throw is their worst nightmare. Heck if you saw the Hoover Miami game, Miami pulled their QB in the 3rd qtr and ran the Wildcat for 30 straight plays down their throat with a 170lb wideout who never even remotely attempted to throw, granted Miami line average about 300, but even still the biggest OL Hoover faced averaged about 225
  12. Im a big prep football fan and I live in the area of one of its regional opponents. Not only am I rooting for The Blaze I believe they will win.
  13. Hi Guys, 1st post on your Forum, here to tell you all Blackman has a squad quite capable of beating Hoover. Looking at Blackmans strengths its Hoover's glaring weakness. Hoover plays in Region 3 7a in Alabama. Ive witnessed every team in the region it is weak and none of the teams can beat any of the top 5 teams in the next lower classification and Hoover has played 2 real capable opponents and lost to both of them. Blackman is playing 2014 Hoover, not 2002,2003,2004,2005 etc those earlier squads were machines that would annihilate opponents, this edition is not even close to that level. Dont think they are the Boogeyman they are far from that. Defensive line tall & quick but small, Linebackers very very rangy but arm tacklers and use all their energy celebrating. They cannot handle teams running straight at them for a couple of qtrs either. They have problems with physical Running Backs and Elusive QB's who can run and throw which you all are blessed to have. Secondary is pretty good theycan tackle. Offensive line is small, center is about 175lbs, and can be abused (see Miami Central film) Starting Quarterback cant run at all, inaccurate and if 1st read isnt there he panics. He just throws it up and hopes his athlete can make a play. Receivers have size but are average, but they are good blockers. run hard but not elusive, H-Back is a very good blocker but he tips the play. Hoover doesnt have the speed nor line to get to the edge, if Blackman shuts down Hoover run game between the tackles, Blackman wins. Hoover's #1 advantage over Alabama opponents is numbers the average team they play has 1400-1600 and they have double that.
