Unionville beats Lady Hornets by 6. Too many missed shots by the Lady Hornets. Fought until the end.
  3. Lady Hornets keep it to within 6 until about 1:30 left when they had to foul. FINAL 61 to 52 MTCS.

I am a little bias but I think my Hornets will have a good year with them returning the majority of their starters from last year. Huntland underachieving in the district tourney last year. Hopefully the returning players learned you have to bring it every night.
  6. Huntland welcomes all the Clarksville Academy fans this Friday night. I can not tell you anything about the offense or defense of Huntland, but I can tell you that you will find a small school in rural area. The concession stand is great so plan to eat there if you do not stop in Winchester or Fayetteville on the way to the game. The only fast food in Huntland is at one of the local stores. Only expect to get cell coverage if you have Verizon and then there are no guarantee. The football field is top notch for a small public school as well as the visitors bleachers. Expect small town charm and great southern hospitality. We love our small town and hope you enjoy your visit.
  7. For those unable to attend the game WCDT AM 1340 has decided to carry the Huntland game tonight. You can list on the web. Thanks so much to WCDT for supporting our boys. For this coming to the game, bring rain gear and cold gear. It is nasty out.
  8. No way Huntland believes any rumor about MTCS.
  9. Huntland games are not normally on the radio until Saturday morning. Franklin County High School game will be on the radio Friday night. Maybe MTCS has a radio station that will be carrying the game. Verizon will be the only cell phone carrier that will pick up in Huntland and at times even that reception is poor. Text will go out normally but voice calls are unlikely. Good luck to my Hornets. ONCE A HORNET, ALWAYS A HORNET
  10. Huntland has a new softball coaching staff this year. The head Coach is Daniel Wiggs and I have heard that Kermit Reed will also be helping. We at Huntland are excited about our new coaches. Neither of these men have girls that play on the team so I can assure you they are not in it for their kids. Ace1 Huntland is a small (class size averages 50 students) in rural, southern Franklin County and plays in District 9A. Huntland will be returning several seniors and we hope to continue to improve. Of course 9A is a great softball district and it will be a battle to get in the top 2. For those who have not heard Coach Campbell retire last year due to health reasons and suffered a stroke the week after the season ended. He is still recovering but doing well. Please keep him in tour prayers because ONCE A HORNET ALWAYS A HORNET
