  1. I did forget to mention that, sorry. But yea I believe Stockdale will be a finist this year. Along with a mtchell player and maybe Tucker from Adamsville
  2. As for Mr. Basketball, I believe Stockdale will be a finalist because of how UC is playing and he is the best on the team, so him winning or being one of the finalist shouldn't be that a problem. If his character and grades are good then he is good to go.
  3. I'm proud for Union City because PB showdown has always been a very competitive tournament but I checked stats and I saw were malik stockdale went 8-18 in the first game, 7-14 in the 2nd game, and 4-8 in the last game. That might be the reason that he leads in scoring because he shoots a lot, but those shooting numbers are not good. Last year in the tourney, Jaylen Barford scored 36 pts going 17-21 shooting, Chris Mcneal scored 30 while taking 15 shots. Malik hicks scored 26 while going 7-11. Mcneal had 9 assist in that game too and Hicks had 15 rebounds. What I want you to know is that Malik Stockdale is a good Single A player, but he is not the only player around putting up numbers and filling a stat sheet. Honestly put Stockdale up to players like I just mentioned or the Lawson from Memphis or Blackwell from CPA..... That's a big difference. But I will say again before y'all claim that I don't like Stockdale or that I said he isn't good, I will repeat, MALIK STOCKDALE IS A GOOD(OUTSTANDING) SINGLE A PLAYER. HE IS THE BEST ON UNION CITY!!!!!!
  4. Besides FW and CPA, Jackson South Side has played a tougher schedule than anybody on this list. Yes they are 8-6 but those 6 loses were to very good teams. south sides schedule was made for McNeal and Hicks, but now since Hicks is gone Chris McNeal is left with a big task at hand. McNeal has his team playing at a high level right now, so don't sleep on the reigning champs.
  5. I'm sorry for saying trash, (my slang), that is what I used instead of saying not living up to potential.
  6. Listen to what you are saying in 2012 that made them either a freshman or a sophomore and you said Sisco put his faith in dewberry.... Now you have to be pretty good for a coach to put faith in you at that age I don't care if he 0-100. I'm done with this Union city stuff because we are going back and forth on players like we are debating on the best player in the state and these 2 are no where in the heck close to that.
  7. THANK YOU!!!Someone that understands.... I never knocked stock sales talent and what he does on the floor but deberry is a no brainer D1 prospect.
  8. I understand that. I even said that Stockdale fills up a stat sheet.
  9. Yes!!! Hubs dissapointed me and that summer before his senior season at Dyer co. he was killing and started to become a national name but since then, TRASH!
  10. If you would read the earlier post I have already said Stockdale is good.... You guys are acting like he is the best thing in the state. He is good don't get me wrong but you are coming at me like I didn't give him credit at all. He might be the best on union city... Since he is the best on the team that makes him a Mr. BB finalist?
  11. Team wise I haven't seen everyon . So therefore I don't want to put my opinion out there just yet. Top players-(West Tennessee) Houston SG Marlon Hunter has been putting up big scoring games and so has Guard Nych Smith from White station and Guard Chad Culbreath from Ripley. Those 3 might have had the best scoring performances from the first half of the season. South Side's PG Chris McNeal has had a few scoring burst but what he has done that sets him apart from a lot of players is that he is averaging nearly a triple double. Mitchell High school trio of guards are playing sensational, on both ends of the floor! North side high school has a hidden gem in Chavis fuller and so far this season he has been a 20 and 10 type guy. Bolton High schools Junior guard Jaylen Fisher, has probably been the most exciting player so far this year, he has been unstoppable and he is showing why he is a highly recruited prospect. There are many other players in the state they have been playing outstanding but these are a few of the ones that I have seen that stood out to me. As you notice these ate West TN players because I haven't made my way to Middle and East TN just yet.
  12. yea, didn't Campbell just get MVP of the lighthouse classic game?? And I think you are talking about Will Shelton from Hardin county if I'm not mistaking.
  13. UC also will be better with Moffitt on the court playing defense, then eventually the new kid comes back. So they'll be just fine. Do you think any player on the team might be a Mr. Basketball finalist or all state by the end of the year?
  14. What schools are offering Stewart? Theres a lot of hype around him, hate he got hurt early on.
  15. I understand where you coming from and you know what, I'm baseing this off the 3 or 4 gamed I've seen UC play.. You seem to be more knowledgeable of the team since you can go back years to now.
  16. I understand your opinion.. And like I stated earlier, I mentioned stockdales motor.. And I did state both were good players so it can go either way..
  17. You act like cordova is the best AAA team in the state... UC still lost to SS which is AA.. You need to worry about Mitchell, a Single A school that is playing a national schedule right now and still competing. There whole team is back besides maybe 2 but their big 3 is back..focus on trying to win a state title
  18. if you could clearly read I said they both can be in this position. Your opinion is Stockdale and mine is deberry.. Did I say deberry was a point guard? heck No.... I said he stepped in at point and I did say that deberry has a better skill set than Stockdale and if you knew basketball then you would clearly see that.. Stockdale is one of the few kids in the stat that fills up a stat sheet and that's uncommon now in high school basketball but who shoots better?? Deberry.. Who dribbles better?? Deberry...Stockdale gets puts backs and dump offs and that is how he leads in scoring. Stockdale is like a short, poor mans Alex poythress from Kentucky, he gets his own buckets from putbacks and dump offs and that's his job. He can stroke it a little but not good enough to be a legit 2 guard. And if you want to get real about things.. I can easily put Mitchell's point guard Naba Echols ( Mvp of state last year) over both of these guys, top 2 point guard in single A with Zy Moore.
  19. .... When ss played uc first game of the year, the new kid went out and deberry stepped up at the point position. Deberry and Stockdale are both versatile but Stockdale is better down low in the post... Who recruits 6'1 post players??? Even if deberry was in the post, who recruits 6'5,6'6 post players??? Deberrys is 6'6 and has better guard skills than some one that is a little over 6 feet, and you call me crazy? They both are fairly good players on the Single A level but deberry is a overall better prospect. That doesn't knock anything that Stockdale does but I will go with Marcus deberry and that's my opinion. Seems like you don't like deberry that much do you?
  20. it was a toss up between the 2.... Both can be in the position its just I believe deberry has a better skill set ecspecially for his height but malik Stockdale is a heck of a player also with a high motor.
