Nether is ok. I believe the heritage a@m and hillbilly stuff has been going on much longer than a few weeks. That goes back to my first post.

No it's not the first time. I have been on here for a few years.I have seen it for years. That's my point.

what does heritage a@m and hillbilly sound like?

It's odd how maryville fans talk about how other fans show no class but how they like to make fun of other kids.

He did. One of the worst breaks I have ever seen. To show what kind of football player he was they let him play in the last East West Shine game. This was a year after he graduated. He had not played any football in a year and a half. He played quarterback in the game which he never played in school and was the game offensive MVP.

Phillip played two years before the team 75 team. We were sophomores his senior year. He lives just up the street from me now. Steve and David Compton were great football players. Steve broke his leg in 76 and that probably cost them a second state championship. He was as tough a guy you would ever meet. The 76 team lost to Rockwood in the semifinal game played at Alcoa. They turned the ball over 4 times which you can't do and win.

The choice for most of us was between Everett High or Walland. The year after this Walland and Everett had a scrimmage and Walland won 48 to 0. That's when the Maples family changed to Maryville. Looking back maybe Walland should have not played well on that day. Nothing has changed about the way kids and parents look at it. They all want to play for a winner.

I played on that 75 team. We had only two players that came from other schools and they were part time players. The rest were all walland boys that grew up together.
