One thing I've noticed about Smith is he is still a little indecisive when he rolls out. I know he hasn't had much experience, but the sooner he picks up on that the more he will be in there. He has the ability to throw or run, he just needs to either hit the receiver when he gets open or take off.

You are propbably pretty close with that score rvd. But it could go either way. Eliz. looked a lot better but still has some problems not within the players if you know what I mean. I see another low scoring game from the Eliz. D.

I heard Tenn. High doesn't run the usual wing t offense we are used to seeing. They are throwing a little bit more. I'm really confused about this Eliz. squad. They have the talent but it seems like they aren't getting the right people in there.

Really wrong on that one. The enrollment for Eliz. this year is a little over 750.

Eliz. and Tenn. High and in trouble when they play South. South doesn't run much variety but they can get the job done.

I know Unicoi has more students than Eliz. and JC, but both of those teams compete in 4A. But Erwin is mainly baseball with a little basketball.

The Science Hill and Elizabethton game was also left off.

I can see where all these outragous scores are coming from. But if you were at the game, you know that Eliz.'s D will not allow more than 24 points. They will have Harmon back from an injury. If the offense picks up the pace a little, the D will have time to breathe, this will be close game. SH will not run and throw all over Eliz.

I don't think this game will be close, Tennessee High will be too strong for Virginia High.

You have to remember, JC is really a 3A team. But Hampton plays more like a 2A or 3A team. If Hampton can stop that smashmouth football, then they will win. I think I'll go with Johnson County because of Smith and their QB, not sure of his name.

Another thing to add about Jeffers, when teams are blitzing seven guys, you can't run 15 yard routes, you have to throw the slants and hitchs and short outs. He can't roll out and avoid the rush to throw. They need to call plays that better suit the players. But I doubt if the coaches realize that.

The Cyclone D won't let it happen. Especially if they try to throw the ball. The D-backs are really good. The run is what they couldn't stop against DB. DB only completed 4 passes for like 44 yards and 1 TD.

You are totally right on that one.......it is really sad, especially for those kids.

If you weren't at Elizabethton's game last night, you would think DB dominated Eliz. on offense, but they didn't. DB's average starting position was Eliz.'s 38. The Cyclone D was probably on the field for close to half the game. It was Eliz.'s offense they did them in. Their D looked really strong, but it is tough for any team to stay out of the field as long as they did to keep holding a team like DB. I don't think SH will score more than 20 in this game. It will be a low scoring game.

DB dominated. That's all there is to say. Eliz. missed out on a really good opportunity. They should learn from this.....I hope. Not only the players, but hopefully the coaches also.

You really have a problem with Elizabethton. Why not go ahead and state their problems? Everyone already knows you are always against them. You haven't even seen a game and you are already criticizing them.

DB does have the edge in the kicking game......a huge edge.

I know you aren't saying they are underdogs against Elizabethton.
