69, I'm back out of the hole just for you. Let me clarify what I'm saying. Before the advent of the internet, players were limited in their exposure to colleges. There was the scout, the coaches opinion, and if you were lucky you got your name mentioned in a small article in the Saturday paper. Fast forward to our enlightened age and you still have the scouts, coaches, and the local newspaper but............ now you have multiple news articles available online (some within an hour after the game ends), combines and camps year round, recruiting services and to top it all off a website where just about anybody can see anything, from a players GPA to his speed, his strength, his film and probably if you know where to look, his shoe size. Things have changed a lot in just the last few years. Back in the day I would have laughed at a man who told me that one day I would set in front of a computer and talk to other people about high school football or know the score of any game in the nation while sitting at my own teams game on Friday night. Are today's coaches important in the recruiting process? Sure they are, but they are a smaller part of a lot bigger picture than they used to be.

Haven't been subterranean, just want to get the facts straight before I open my mouth. A man learns much more from listening than talking.

I respect the job he has done. He took over a team that was on the verge of giving up and helped coach them to two title games. I know, for a fact, he has spoke with multiple colleges since Christmas but that doesn't mean they are going to bite. Like I said in an earlier post, a coach is only a small part of the equation when it comes to recruiting. The parents and players both have to be pro-active in the process. It's can be a rough road. Bass, how many of our kids, out of all that have played football in this county, do you remember signing letters in the last 25 years? You can probably count them on your fingers (and maybe a few of mine).

Here's some numbers for all those wondering why CRR hasn't got every Senior on the team a full ride. On national signing day, 291 Seniors, from Tennessee, signed letters. Out of those 291 ONLY 28 came from Class 1A and 2A COMBINED. Six of them came from Mitchell High alone. So, if signees is what makes you a great coach then yes, CRR and just about every coach in 1A and 2A did not try to help their players and clearly suck. It would be nice to see some of the folks in our area look at the big picture and actually use their brain before making derogatory knee-jerk comments about people.

Would be interesting. Let's ask all the old timers on here to post who all they can remember going to the next level.

With this statement you assume that RR has not talked to multiple schools for LW. My guess is your wrong. Today, it takes a lot of footwork by both the parents and players to get an offer. It's not 1975. These scouts do not have to come to a game or ask a coach about a player. Everyone's highlights, and what they post on social media outlets (and yes scouts look at what you post), are out there to see. While I agree it's good for a coach to promote a quality player, I do not believe it makes or breaks him as a great coach. Remember, ultimately it's up to the college whether a player gets an offer, NOT a coach.

May just do that. I believe we'll have several that can play at the next level after the 2016 season ends.

Congrats to all these young men. Not many of them that I haven't heard at least a little something good about. That's saying a lot considering the distance from one end of Tennessee to the other!

Dude, if I'm a mixed bag of nuts your on the shelf next to me. Your the one reading impaired. I said I have no way of knowing how good of a coach he is. I never once said he wasn't a great coach and I never once said anyone could do it. I have never, on any thread, bashed a coach. All of them know way more about football than I. If I can't state a reasonable observation without you getting all "injured gluteus" then we have nothing else to discuss.

Okay, it's obvious that you have a common interest in SP and BB football. It really doesn't matter to me who the #1,2,3,4.......... coach in the area is. That's pure conjecture on anyone's part. As far as Vic goes I could care less. I don't know how good of a coach he is because I've never seen him coach anywhere other than SP. Looks like to me there's been three different coaches in the last 15 years or so at SP and all of them have taken their teams to state championships. So, is Grider a special coach or could you put a blind giraffe on the sidelines coaching the kind of talent he and others have had and still go to state? Who knows? Just like who knows what direction CRR will chose. I personally believe he can build a successful program anywhere, if he chooses to go. One last thing, if ole Bassy tells you a coach is exceptional I would believe it. Of all the poster on here he tends to know the game better than any. Although he is a dreaded SP fan he makes more sense than most.

Dude, you sound like you have a serious personal problem with CRR. If your willing to lay down on the couch I'm willing to listen. Did these outburst about opposing coaches start when you were a child? Do you see CRR hiding in the closet at night? Does the Boogeyman wear purple? I want to help you through this.

Folks, try not to stray too far from the word of God. I know it's hard with all the ancient aliens and through the wormholes and mysteries of the bible indoctrinations that air daily. I respect a man's right to believe whatever he wants but there's no denying the further America gets away from the teachings of the word, the further this country has fallen into chaos.

Look up the definition of clueless and ask yourself if it applies to you and your knowledge of Coach Ross? It's not an insult if it's true.

True, I don't stay on this site 24/7 so I may have missed your previously stated opinions.That's why I ask your opinion now. If you feel your time is too valuable to reply to my question then so be it. And friend, if you knew me, you would know that my feelings are not easily hurt. I'm glad you have your opinion about RR and I can respect it. He is an above average coach in many ways and exceptional in other ways. And in the future try to show respect for your creator by not using his name so loosely.

So, out of curiosity, what level would you put Reynolds at, average, above average, or exceptional? Since you have no problem rating other team coaches, lets hear your own coaches rating. Not trying to be smart just like to hear a Bucs fan's opinion.
