  1. Still coming around to the fact that my older boy #24 is done with the Heritage loss to Cheatham. Feels a little better that Cheatham was able to take our Harpeth though. Props to their coaches for not having them quit down 20 vs Heritage and not allowing them to be satisfied either as they took on Harpeth. Going into the tourney I was thinking WHH v Sycamore final. I got Sycamore tonight. Youth and size over experience.
  2. 62-59 Heritage made a 3 with about 2secs left. Very deflating loss - looked just like the game last Friday at CC, where it felt like Heritage was up 12-15 points, but every time you looked at the score CC was inching closer an closer. Tonight I think that Heritage was up by as many as 20 early in the 2nd quarter. They let them off the hook and CC made enough big shots and FT's to close out the game.
  3. http://brackets.jim314.com/ Looks like the higher seed hosts the 1st round in 10AA
  4. Hopefully no one uses the Heritage two early season loses to MLK as a measuring stick. Two of our top 6 players were out. That was our starting backcourt during the summer.
  5. B52 here you go http://www.coacht.com/tennessee/standings/standings.cfm?seasonid=321&groupid=23,60,85,71, Rank Team District 1 East Nashville 10-0 2 Stratford 7-3 3 Whites Creek 7-3 4 Hume-Fogg 2-6 5 Maplewood 3-6 6 MLK 2-6 7 Pearl Cohn 2-7 I watched the East vs Stratford game online about a week ago. East looked good, but I think that they're capable of playing better. Stratford looks beatable if someone can force them to shoot.
  6. Heritage laid an egg on Sr. night. out coached, out played, even the 8 Greenbrier kids in the gym were louder than our sorry student section.
  7. Happy for the Westmoreland kids. That 0-22 record had to be heavy to carry. Not sure if it was as heavy as the L that they gave WH though.
  8. 2/2 @ Home vs. Greenbrier 2/5 @ Sycamore 2/9 @ Cheatham
  9. This guy gets it... Both Harpeth and Heritage held serve winning on their home courts. Last night, the Harpeth crowd was definitely worth the 3-5 point difference. They're a different team at home. At 50-50, Heritage turned the ball over on 3 straight trips and Harpeth made 5 FTs. Ball game! Props to the Harpeth kids, (10) and (14) that balled out... I think that they had 41 of the 55 points.
  10. Like a breath of fresh air - you should post more. Year after year, all we ever hear about is how great White House is... followed by the excuses as to why they lost.
  11. Heritage WH has a couple of young bigs, but their front court was dominated last night... in the 1st game earlier this yr... all three games last yr ... and even the yr before last vs Heritage. Just like anyone, if the WH 3's are falling, they're tough to beat. Last night, our PG put the team on his back. He basically said, you shoot first and I'll shoot last.
  12. Some good insight until you said this
  13. Tonight's games: Springfield vs. White House-Heritage - Springfield dominated WH over the weekend for their 1st win on the yr. pick' em game. @Heritage Harpeth vs. Cheatham County Central - Harpeth off to a strong start, i go them going to 3-0 in district play. Greenbrier vs. White House - No way WH loses a 3rd straight game, right? Westmoreland vs. Sycamore - Westmoreland is bad, I got Sycamore.
  14. Heritage + Portland scrimmaged on Tuesday for 8 Qtrs. Mix of Varsity/ JV. Both teams looked sloppy as to be expected. Both are young... Heritage is breaking in 4-5 new faces into the rotation. Portland has Springfield’s old coach - we’ll see how that works. Heritage will likely take their lumps early in the season as the young guys are figuring things out. These kids should have already played a ton last yr during some of the blowouts... they didn’t. That’s Petrone for you.
  15. Where else did Bo have offers from? I tried looking but didn't see other schools listed.
  16. Spot on... exactly what i was thinking. I have Heritage by 5 too.
  17. I'm guessing the WH fans that left early tonight weren't leaving early to come post on this board? Good win tonight for Heritage - 68-52
  18. If the buff Jim Carrey look alike with the crew cut shows up to ref the championship game, god help us all. He struts around like a darn chicken hawk... ruining every game he touches.
  19. Are you sure?? Springfield from just 2 weeks ago says hi - By what? 30 points @WH Harpeth says hey, twice Heritage said wsup early and late in the season. Even Sycamore waved at them just 3 weeks ago White House could win the tourney. Absolutely... and they've played good ball in the last week or 2, but please don't feed the trolls. The better teams have absolutely slowed WH down... TRUTH
  20. Agreed with Preppy... DesMarais is the MVP. He's a great athlete and his impact on offense and defense is unmatched in this district. Would be one thing if he were 6ft guard, but at 6'5, he commands a double team in the post, and can handle the ball out on the perimeter. He also scores from 3 and he gets to the line. Probably even better on defense, to be honest. I lost count on the # of chase downs, jumping the passing lanes for easy breakaways, and weak side blocks... All this with the Heritage coach forcing them to sit on the ball for most of the season.
  21. Just saw the score... how on earth does 116-103 happen? Did anyone play defense? Or was everyone that played on fire?
  22. Have the dates/ location been set for District tourney?
  23. B52... Pretty close on the Heritage/ GB game 61-32 Heritage with the win,
  24. Heritage 53 - Harpeth 33 Strong defensive game for Heritage. Dominated the boards and were in the passing lanes all game. Biggest concern is staying out of foul trouble as Petrone only plays 7-8 kids. They did that tonight. @Greenbrier on Friday
