  1. I'll check into it, but if LMU is involved that is something Booger would be on top of. If true it would offer Booger and you an opportunity to sit down and work on your political future.
  2. That is a poor example as her father was a rock star athlete and she got his genes. I saw her play 4 times last year and she did well in all 4. The last game was about as exciting of a soccer game as there is.
  3. I think a player's skills, situational awareness, and soccer smarts are the key to a successful career. Certainly there are positional positives and negatives for height. A tall mid is likely not as effective as a shorter, quicker mid. Likewise, a 5'1" center back imposes minimal intimidation compared to one who is 6'. Messi is short. Renaldo is tall. Each bring great skills to their respective teams. The U.S. women's team has had remarkable success with both short and tall players. UTC will be an interesting study. With 6 potential contributors 5'11" or taller, it will be fun to watch how they perform. They will be hands down the tallest team in the SoCon. Faith can quarterback them to a championship.
  4. Booger, I believe you are good to go then. Playerscoach is one of the most conservative, straightforward people in the mid-state. You two will make an unstoppable powerhouse of a presidency. I do believe his first order of business would be to outlaw Elmer's glue, though.
  5. I would reach out to Big G and Playerscoach. Both are well connected in the midstate soccer area. They could help you reach out to potential candidates. It sounds as if you have a solid foundation in place.
  6. That is a great offer but Golden Corral is a little above my pay grade. I like that wonderful French restaurant, Le Arby's, or that down to earth farmer's restaurant, McDonald's, where everything is fresh from his farm.
  7. I don't know about that, Elmer. Many a time when my wife and I have been faced with 3 hour waits at fancy restaurants in Nashville, the mere mention of the name, Playerscoach, has gotten us immediate seating and free drinks. The man is a legend in the midstate. That is why if Booger and he ever get together, they could announce a guaranteed successful run at the presidency. That, my friend, would be something to see.
  8. Linebacker on 2 of coach Spark's championship teams.
  9. It was indeed, my friend. Courtney can be proud of their great run and the fact she left LMU in much better shape than she found it.
  10. I think you're safe, Booger. This is the Tennessee senate, not the Roman Senate, although if Ceasar, aka Playerscoach, shows up it might mean the coliseum and lions for you. I'll be cheering for the Splitters either way. Keep shocking the world, girls!!!
  11. I was at the 2-5 loss to CN early on. When the keeper went down and the ref let them keep playing for quite a while with the girl on the ground and then CN takes a long shot to score, I wondered if that might come back to bite CN down the road. 2 wins in 2 weeks over CN is huge for LMU. As the announcer said, they are the new big dogs in the SAC.
  12. I thought players typically signed in February. This will be good as it will give the coaches a clear idea of who they have on their coming roster.
  13. I wish all those players nothing but success on their journey, but it is still a big jump to college. Playing ECNL will be a huge advantage for them. If I remember correctly, aren't 5 of UTC's 7 commits playing ECNL somewhere?
  14. I watched the LMU vs. Carson Newman SAC Championship game yesterday. It was a classic, physical battle with many Tennessee high school girls playing for both teams. Notre Dame's own Boogerette played very well and was prominently mentioned by the announcers several times. The Coach T Ghost, a.k.a. Booger, must be proud of the effort and win. The win guarantees Booger will be prowling the sidelines for at least one more game.
  15. Sounds like the freshmen class, if nothing else, will push the upper classmen to improve. Although I did not see enough to comment specifically, if only one player is scoring their goals, consistent winning will be difficult.
  16. Congratulations, G. Good job!
  17. Who knows? Transitioning from high school to college is a big step. Playing ECNL will make the move much easier as the competition would be similar to the SoCon. Your decision to have your daughter play with future college teammates is wise. They will develop bonds through playing and traveling together.
  18. I realize your team would have hoped to finish stronger in the SoCon, but there seems to be a foundation there which your daughter will only enhance. If her offensive prowess in high school makes a smooth transition to college, UTC should have one area of concerned addressed, namely scoring goals. Pity, though, that Booger has banned you from Chattanooga.
  19. Hopefully this year's freshmen class continues to develop and can provide some offensive punch next year. UTC's 2019 class has some high school and club level scorers. The hope is this translates to college as the Arnold kid needs some help offensively to free her up.
  20. That must be one impressive 8th grader!!! I guess she already has multiple D1 offers.
  21. Interesting article, Moon. I believe Players is underestimating his daughter's athletic ability. Along with obvious scoring and passing ability, she has the athleticism of a multi-sport athlete. Her greatest strength lies in her soccer knowledge and field awareness. As the article stated, she is just the type player who will excel in college although with Booger's influence on all things UTC, it is likely her father will be banned from watching.
