  1. Tell us more. What adjustments should they have made??
  2. I’m sure they are improved quite a bit. Glad they have. They have passed on 2 big revenue games by not playing 2 teams that have historically been in their region/district and are separated by a couple hundred or so in enrollment.
  3. Wouldn’t hurt my feelings if the pirates hung 50 on the Bears. Wish they’d have hung 100 on Jasper. In your scenario They would hang 100 on WV right? You think I’m joking but I’m not.
  4. Not to mention playing in the worst region in 5A
  5. I said the schedule was softened up. No McMinn, no Cleveland. Swapped for Karns and a down 2A school that got half a hundred hung on em by a 1A school. 4-6 would have been 2-8 last year so that’s my point.
  6. Swapped Cleveland for Marion County? Didn’t want to play Bradley either.
  7. The Cleveland job has challenges. The previous hire was labeled good if not great too. Time will tell. I do think Wheeler is a really good football coach though. Re: walker valley...... I think they have benefitted tremendously from a softened up schedule and if they continue to be successful their guy will move on and up sooner than later
  8. That did not happen under Ron Crawford. It did after he left. Sad day for the Blue Raiders when he left. As to Dabears 76 comments about what Price would have done with the talent of the last 8 years........ a lot of that talent would not have been there if not for Coach Floyd. That’s not a knock on Price either, just truth.
  9. Careful what you wish for 76. Damon has the program in the best shape it’s been in since the era of the last title in 76. You forget how bad things were before he got the job?
  10. I think he meant due to injury. They don’t have a big roster. Far as I know everyone likes Wheeler. Similar to Crawford.
  11. Head Coach is the one with final say so. That’s why they have run the ball so much. It’s Wheelers offense. Renshaw would throw it around more if it were his offense 100%. He’s a spread guy. They are conservative in part to eat clock and keep their defense off the field. They can’t stop the run. Talent and depth are their problem. They have roster numbers similar to a 2A school. There is one dominant 1A school in the area that dresses as many as Cleveland does. Adam Renshaw is the least of the problems with that program. The one and only problem is no longer there. They will in good shape in 24 months.
  12. Basically the head coach. They Will be fine. Can’t fix what took 4 years to run in the ditch in 1 year. Wheeler will get them back on track. They will start keeping their middle schoolers. They don’t have a lot of talent and no depth right now. Some Cleveland folks like to blame Bradley for recruiting but reality is most kids just didn’t like the culture of the last 4 years and chose a better atmosphere to be in. My guess is Cleveland makes a big jump next year.
  13. That wasn't the point I was making. I heard of the issues. The rumors being floated here were that the Bradley Coach had direct contact with a Cleveland kid which I didn't think was accurate and it was stated Bradley was going to get sanctioned with no Spring practice which also is not accurate. My point is that Berrman (not Bearman) had asked a question and then provided an answer making it appear that he already knew the answer to the question when he posted. Looked like someone stirring the pot to me.
