Youth leagues start at 5:00 pm.

Upperman had some out, but still looked pretty good. They were up 3 to 1 when we left. Upperman scored on two runs and a pass. D gave up one big play during WC's scoring drive. It was on a pass play and the DB was in good position, but the WR had a height advantage and pulled it in over his head. Overall, good work against a 6A school.

Just The U this year. My guess is that if it works for them, they'll cover other teams in the future, kinda like Hard Knocks. Looks like they're trying stuff out in Baxter, like this and the 7 on 7 showcase, and if successful, will branch out in the future.

Not sure. Since it seems to be a pre season kind of thing, may only be two or three of them.

Just about 17 mins, not too bad. Caine talks about his background, the QB battle, C Harris and a little about the last scrimmage. Will be another one next week.

Will have to find out. I think their jamboree is in Hartsville this year.

Yeah, most are in the same boat. Unless you're one of the reload programs, everybody else is waiting until week 1 to see what they have. Upperman will roll out a sophomore QB, need some new o-linemen to step up, and someone to step in at LB. Looks like DL and RB will be strengths. At least QB is 6'-3" and plenty athletic with a live arm, but you really don't know until they start keeping score for real. Safe travels.

Are you guys coming up? Just leave that 6'-10" QB (I think that's what he's up to now on the other thread) at home, lol.

FYI, scrimmage H20 in Baxter at 6 pm tomorrow. Bring a chair just in case it's on the practice field.

Believe Upperman had a split squad. Curious if you saw both?

Don't think he'll play for a while, maybe not the rest of the season/playoffs.

He's also a legacy. His mother played basketball at UHS.

Qualls is a really good coach. Hated it when he left Upperman.

He sent out game week schedule this morning, so business as usual. Too much drama created over one football game. Everything Upperman had to play for before this game (region, playoffs, etc.) is still out there. Learn from it and move on. It's only a bad loss if you let it turn into another one.

We have a Cookeville address and only live a few minutes from Upperman. It takes 3-4 times as long to get to CHS, depending on traffic.
