Here goes. Every year, EVERY private school in Tennessee (preschool, elementary, and high school) runs an ad in the paper when it is time to start taking applications for the next academic school year. This includes GCA, Webb, Catholic, St. Joseph's, Berean etc.. My neighbor happens to be a supervisor at the Sentinel. Schools absolutely have no say in where that ad will appear. The Sentinel places it where it will best fit and then run it. Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine that anyone could possibly conjure up that it means anything more that what it is!

Don't be in denial tiger. The kid is a good player, but he likes to run his mouth and it caught up with him! You know him and you know I'm right!

Well said Pride. I don't know what's up with them this year. I thought we were going to leave with a win Friday night, and we did that stupid onside kick and everything just spiraled out of control from there. One thing I know for sure is that we didn't come alive until we started throwing the ball in the RW game. We can't win by running the ball up the middle like we always do. Most of the teams we have played this year throw the ball just about every play. To win games you have to be able to do that and we aren't getting it done!

Great post Pride! I've enjoyed it too! I realize I get bent out of shape easily when others accuse our team of cheating. It just worries me about any strays bringing in fleas and getting the program in trouble! I'm gonna bring my gas mask to the game Friday and be ready, be ready, be ready!

I'm not beating up "our" team. "Our" team is out there working their butts off everyday and KNOW what's going on. I'm just going to get off here and let you go back to living in fairy tale land where everything has a happy ending!

Pride, thanks for calling me out on that one. That was a typo and instead of to Clinton, I meant at Clinton.

I have always wanted GCA to have a winning team, and had hoped this would be their year. But let me tell you something that makes me sick, going down to Marion Co last year with 2 minutes on the clock thinking we were finally going to a state championship game the next week after all these years! It was hard losing that game with just seconds to go!! That was probably the loneliest car ride back to Knoxville I have ever traveled and I don't want to do it again!!! We lost that game simply because our boys were totally out of gas! Enough said!!

In all likelihood GCA will run the score up on them, just like they did to Clinton in the jamboree. A new clan from Central moved in on GCA this year and the dad wants to build his sons' stats. For a while, the dad was hidden in the box calling the plays, but now he has made his way to the field and is coaching. This is what others are questioning on other threads about the dirty things that are going on at GCA. Those who know this family DO KNOW the FISHY way they got there!! Watch out Raven! I know who you want to see on the field, but "daddy" has a freshman on the team that he wants to take big brothers place!! He is AFRAID of competition, so he will just change your guy to another position like he has done to two others!

Yes CAK was definitely a much better team , but come on, Webb is just plain rotten. We layed down like whupped puppies!! I know we could play them again and beat them bad!! We are just in dire need of some change!!

i really don't think you have a pretty good handle on what's going on Pride. First of all you were clueless when i let it out of the bag who is in the box calling the plays! I'm also worried you may be suffering from hearing loss if you haven't heard the disgruntled fans wanting to know what's going on. We had a good thing going on last year! #9 did a great job last year. He is an example of a true team player, never trying to be some super hero!! This year fans are in the stands screaming "throw the ball" and we have receivers wide open but someone wants to have all the glory for himself!! Do you really not hear that??

You are right young man! There's a lot of talent standing on the sidelines that never touch the field. You will find out as you go that it's called "daddy ball"!

Friend, that's just it, you better hope that mule gets you where you need to go! Since non-division games don't matter, maybe we can tell all the crowd of people that come to see GCA and CAK play to start saving their money and stay home because it doesn't matter who wins!! Personally, I want my kids to grow up and be successful and strive to win at everything they do in life. Learning to accept defeat just don't get it. That's the difference between losers and winners and why the football team has learned to sit back and settle for less! Tell the UT fans that it just doesn't matter if they win or lose, we'll get em next time!

EXCUSE ME, they do matter! Why even play them if they don't! Have you ever heard of bragging rights? Never have and never will!! True champions want to win them all!!! It would be a waste of time if you only wanted to win the district games. I do know you and I'm really at a loss for words that that would come out of your mouth. Usually you are always on here expressing your opinions, but I noticed it took you a few days after the loss to Webb. Were you at a loss for words?

I'm sure everyone is glad to have a week off to get over this loss, and the team can regroup and prepare for the next one!

I agree Pujo! It's hard to go to state when you can only run the ball up the middle play after play after play! GCA Only came alive when they started throwing the ball at the end of the Rockwood game!!!

Pride you are a great optimistic guy! I wish I could be more like you, but the truth is the truth! People are frustrated! This is high school football, not little league! This was suppose to be GCA's year. With the attitude that non-division games don't matter, Grace will NEVER be contenders for a state championship. True, the schedule for Oct. doesn't look too bad but you have to win those other games for it to make the difference! That's what makes champions!!! Very disappointing to lose to Webb this year, they just aren't a good team at all!!!! I wish GCA the best of luck, but I think it will be a short season and changes are due!!!!

Fans are getting very frustrated! Lots of whispering going on!! This team is loaded with lots of talent, so, my next question is....who should you be pointing your fingers at? I think the team has been infected with the K virus!!!
