Back to what I read earlier summertown definitely does have a bright future. The senior class of the Eagles isn't very good but the junior class is loaded and the following classes are pretty good as well. #18 has been struggling throwing the ball recently but I believe it's because he just doesn't have much confidence. #6 is a stud on defense with 120+ tackles already and he is a good offensive weapon when they can get the ball in his hands. I think fayetville wins by 21 but the eagles need to keep their heads up! 2 wins for a first year isn't that bad just keep battling and be ready for the next year! GO EAGLES!

I'm going with summertown on this one I think things started clicking against Richland last week and hoping they start off like the second half against Richland and they will win.

Nothing at all.. The Eagles were down 14-0 AT HALF! great coaching by Mote and the assistants to get their team fired up for the 2nd half and they came out and shut Richland down including a key goal line stand.. Good job Eagles! See much potential for next year. Can't wait!

I think that this year is going to be like expected for summertown maybe winning 1 or 2 more but I think that they have a bright future. On offense the Eagles are returning 9 starters and with the qb Chapman and running force out of the rb mote and a few more options in the receivers positions catching the ball. On defense they return about 9 or 10 so with junior safety mote and freshman linebacker Johnson leading the pack with tackles along with outside lb park. I think the Eagles are a force to reckon with next year. Improvements will come for this young program.

The eagles got smacked last week against one of the top teams in the state of 1A. Hopefully they can bounce back against Moore county? Thoughts of predictions on this game?

Grace played 8 man football last year. This is their 1st year of 11 man.

Summertown coming off a win looking to face the Huntland Hornets who are 0-2 this year so far. Predictions/thoughts on the game this friday??

Summertowns big problem against Loretta was turnovers. I think they fumbled twice in the red zone and had a couple of minor mistakes up front like bad snaps that probably cost them 2 or 3 turnovers. If they can correct some mistakes I think they will compete with most the teams they play. Definitely have a few good athletes and I see mote has done a great job coaching them.. He has tons of experience and I think he is building a future powerhouse football program over in summertown.

I am actually from Columbia but figured I would go and watch the eagles battle in their first varsity game and I have to say, even though they got beat, I was thoroughly impressed with many things I saw. First off, their QB Chapman had some great throws to the top reciever Dylan Powell. Powell has some great hands and can also get yards after the catch. Also on offense, RB Chase Mote had some great runs and was making people miss left and right and was a really hard runner. On defense, Wade Parks was a very small player but he still competed really well and had some good tackles. Mote was at safety and was flying up on all the plays too andI must say he really knows how to lay a hit. Senior LB Hayden farmer had some pretty good tackles Too.. I think summertown has lots of potential and think they will do pretty decent this year.
